Jarrett and Mark are the most experienced guys in the Houston area in the care of natural stone floors. They refinished my 1200 sq ft of travertine floors in my living area and it looks better than when it was brand new. They stripped off the old lacquer and polished the travertine leaving a natural shine with no lacquer or polish on the floors. All I need to do now is mop it with a cleaner that they provide to keep it clean. They also moved all the furniture around and replaced it exactly where it was originally using pictures.
Call these guys if you need your stone floors polished or refinished, they are the best at what they do.

Mark and Jarret did a great job of honing the etching out our marble countertops. We discussed some options and ended up getting them sealed in the matte finish to make the upkeep a little easier. We are happy with how they turned out and they do a real professional job...thanks guys!

I had spent hours cleaning my tumbled travertine floors and *thought* they were clean but I wasn't happy with the way they looked. I called Modern Stone Care and they came out and deep cleaned the floors and sealed them. The difference was amazing and what I originally thought was clean was far from. My stone was no longer dark tan but back to the original color. In addition they cleaned and sealed my granite counters and no more dark water spots around the sinks. I was impressed with the care taken with my home and the attention to getting it right. There was no hesitation on their part to work until the job was done to everyone's satisfaction. Nice and polite men who take pride in their work.

We had all of the almost 15 year old travertine flooring in our house cleaned and polished. The guys arrived on time, explained the process, and got everything done within a day as promised. The floors look great and are literally squeaky clean. Would definitely use them again and recommend to others.

This review is well overdue. I reached out to Jarrett via the website, received a quote for polishing our travertine floors, liked the quote then promptly scheduled a service visit. By the way, these guys were nearly $1/sq ft less than another company nearby (Clean Tile and More), for more work. Now...if they can only deliver on the promise to make our travertine shine...

Well, they did. And then some. I don't remember how long it took but they were around most of the day since our entire first floor is travertine tile. They cleaned the floors, then polished using an acid solution and heavy duty polishing machine. We were - and are - very pleased with the work BUT there remains a downside to the shine they put on the floors, and I'm not kidding about this: To this day I get distracted by what I think is a spill on the floor...but it always turns out to simply be a shiny surface that now catches sunlight, or light from a lamp. So, there is a "negative" to having polished travertine. ;-) I suppose I'll get used to it. Highly recommended.

Great experience! We worked hard to clean our 13 year old tile but could not get the grout clean or remove the film of sealer (that should not have been on in the first place). Wow!! I recently bought a new home with travertine flooring through out... The flooring looked dull and dirty. My friend told me about his experience with Mark at Modern Stone Care. This company did a beautiful job cleaning and honing my marble floors to a lovely matte finish last Fall. When a full bottle of red wine was dropped on the floor last week, staining and etching occurred. Within 24 hours of calling Modern Stone Care, they were here and were able to clean and reseal the area. These guys do great work! Highly recommend!
