David came out to install a whole-home surge protector. The pricing was fair, and everything is operating properly. He had clear communication and kept me updated on his progress. I would recommend Definite Electric.

My power was out most of the day and I didn't know it until I got home. It was after hours, so I called Definite Electric to come and take a look at the breakers, wiring, etc. It was an emergency call and desperately needed my power back on again (Houston summer heat!!). Dave arrived in less than 30mins, checked the breakers, wiring, meter bank, etc. He even got on a call with me with Centerpoint so he can tell them the issue. Centerpoint wasn't able to address the problem until the next business day. Dave did some repairs anyways so Centerpoint didn't have to mess with the wiring, they just had to switch the power back on the next day. Also, I needed some minor repairs around the house (plumbing and a/c) and he connected me with service techs that he knows/trusted. GREAT PEOPLE!! GREAT SERVICE!! and reasonably priced. I HIGHLY recommend Dave and his team!!

Dave is a 5 star service professional. He is highly skilled as an electrician, and is a world class communicator. He is always available and goes above and beyond expectations. Not to mention he has fair prices on top of all of this.

Definite Electric installed new GFI plugs under my sink and did a fantastic job. They had to run new exterior lines from the box, attach the lines to the brick wall and drill holes through concrete and brick to get under the sink from outside. Then they had to wire a switch for the garbage disposal. It all works beautifully and it is all much tidier and safer than what was there before. I’m very happy with it.

David at Definite has been my go-to contact for electrical work. My house is older so there have been several projects such as replacing the electrical panel, adding grounding, replacing the electrical mast and replacing wiring outside the house. I would highly recommend him.

Unreal servicing and timely responsiveness. AC power breaker was fried and needed replacement, warranting an emergency repair in the 100F+ weather! Dave came out within an hour of requesting a service and worked past normal working hours to complete the repair. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and timely servicing. Would highly recommend.

I called Definite Electric on a Sunday evening while my smoke, fire and carbon monoxide detectors were going off incessantly. Dave came by in a very short time, diagnosed the problem, replaced the units, and did so at a very, very reasonable rate. Dave was very professional, prompt, and very courteous. David is a true professional. He is extremely clear and communicative and takes the time to explain things in a way that is understandable to a lay person. He lays out options clearly without pressure to upsell you. He and his team rewired our entire house and did a great job. Whatever small issues arose were addressed and corrected quickly and without fuss. Highly recommended!

Dave and his assistant, who I’m sorry I did not catch the name of, were excellent to work with. Multiple of our smoke detectors started low-battery chirping at once. At midnight. When we attempted to reset the detectors, they all started to sound. We did not have a ladder or 9-volt batteries to address the issue, so we called Dave as he offers 24-hour service. He got to us in a timely manner and performed the work quickly.

He replaced the batteries in every detector even though only two were chirping, and he replaced one unit entirely that seemed faulty. He explained the process as he went and offered a fair price. We’re very thankful we’ll be able to sleep tonight without chirps and have peace of mind with non-faulty smoke detectors. We will use Dave again for electrical services in the future!

Dave made a trip to my home on short notice to help me diagnose some cabling issues. He presented a comprehensive and straightforward breakdown of my options and was patient in explaining each step of the way. Extremely courteous and professional guy. 10/10 would recommend this company to others.

Dave Callier and his team are excellent. I’ve used them multiple times upgrading electrical stuff at an older house I recently purchased—everything from installing new fixtures, to diagnosing problems, to replacing the entire panel. He is really smart (spoke to me in English, Spanish, and German!) and a genuinely nice guy. I used to run a pool business years ago so I’ve seen all kinds of contractors in my day. Dave is one of the rare gems who provides great service at great prices, and actually cares about the quality of his work. We live in an older home, and we were having our attic cleaned for an insulation upgrade. During that process, two wires shorted in our attic causing a fire. It was nearing 5:00PM, and I had no idea who to call.

Badly shaken, I landed on Definite Electric--and I was lucky to have done so. Dave seems to have dropped everything to show up at our house and complete the initial repairs--which took nearly three hours.

He returned later that week to finish updating substandard wiring, so we would be able to stay on schedule with the installation.

Dave is calm, focused, professional, and detailed. He provided us with clear pricing and explanations, detailing our options each step of the way.

Amazing job! I called Dave in an emergency (no power) only to find out my electric box was close to catching fire. He worked efficiently and effectively while patiently handling my questions at late hours. The price was absolutely fair for the quality of work done.
