Home Services reviews in Houston, Texas

This tree service is very professional and the cost for tree removal is great. Have used this company several times and they are always on-time, great cleanups and always provide completion to what is required.
Great company for tree removal. -
The owner Kyle answered the call sometimes he is out of town so I met with his son. The estimate was comparable to other tree services and the work was done without any problems. Usually I don't leave Google reviews but a unusual palm showed up at my door step weeks after I had paid and was clueless about who would leave this at my doorstep just then I received a link for this review. Anyways I thought that was sweet.

I’ve been using Champions Tree Preservation for many years and they have been and still are a Top Tier tree service provider with expert knowledge and abilities.
They just finished taking care of my oak trees again this morning in preparation for hurricane season and to help my grass stay fuller under their shade. These folks are both craftsmen and artists; they not only protect the tree (and thus my house) they improve their form/shape!
They left my yard immaculate, you couldn’t tell they had even been there it was so clean. And the trees… they look beautiful again!
We are so pleased with their efforts! -
We've used Champions Tree Preservation for many years and they do a fantastic job! It's important to us that the people trimming our trees know what they're doing. We can barely keep up with the growth of our 2 oak trees. Our yard faces north so the grass struggles to get enough sunlight when they're overgrown. Champions does a great job raising the canopy, thinning the interior to allow more sunlight and trimming branches off the house and out of the street and driveway. The trees always have a beautiful shape when the finish and they do such a thorough job cleaning up you would never even know they were there.

Very pleased with Champions Tree Preservation. They brought our magnificent 20 +YO Magnolia tree that was very sick & dying back to a healthy life. Tree now heavy with blooms for 1st time in years. Excellent diagnosis and treatment on their part to save this wonderful tree and we strongly recommend you consider them for care of your valuable trees!

I can’t say enough great things about Champions Tree Preservation. I’ve used them across multiple homes and projects, and they’ve consistently exceeded expectations every single time.
At my previous property, they quite literally saved all of my mature oak trees after they were heavily stressed from new construction. I was worried I was going to lose them, but their expertise and treatment plan brought them back to full health. That alone made me a lifelong customer.
They’ve also done incredible work with my landscaping—especially my Eagleston holly trees. They not only treated them but gave practical, thoughtful guidance on how to adjust the surrounding hardscape to help them thrive long-term. That level of detail and care really sets them apart.
Across the board, every tree they’ve worked on has improved. My canopies are noticeably fuller, healthier, and more vibrant thanks to their fertilization programs and precise trimming.
Most recently, they installed a 9” caliper live oak at my new home along with two 65-gallon loblolly pines, and the quality of the installation was top-notch. You can tell they take pride in doing things the right way.
Robin is fantastic to work with—extremely communicative, responsive, and knowledgeable. His entire team is professional, punctual, and clearly cares about the work they do. On top of that, their pricing has always been fair and honest, which is rare for this level of expertise.
If you care about your trees and want them handled the right way, this is the only company I would trust. Highly, highly recommend. -

Exceeded expectations from beginning to end. Knowledgeable arborist, quick scheduling and follow-up; high quality work. After the crew left, I couldn’t even tell they’d been there, except of course for my skillfully trimmed Sweet Gum tree. Great company!

I called them a few months ago to do a service, but no one called me back to schedule it. I had used them a few months prior.
I called them recently and was able to schedule a service.
They sent a hand written bill with the total. It says on the side that the tax is 8.25%, but it is not clear whether tax is included.
After my service was complete, I was told that I had to pay with check to the guy standing there. I asked if I could pay with snail mail via check later, but I was told no. If you pay by check you are charged a 3% charge. They do not accept venmo, paypal or Zelle.
After finding my check book, I went to the original quote and paid the amount. Later, I find an envelope that looks like a Christmas card, and inside there is a bill. The bill has a different amount on it. The team never handed it to me, the person who owns the house, made the appointment and walked with them to see exactly what they would do. One of my family members thought it was some sort of strange Christmas card, not a bill, so placed it where all of our letters go. I open the envelope later and I see the amount owed which is different because it includes tax.
I called them and I asked if I could play the tax portion with Zelle or Venmo. I was told no, snail mail only. So now, I have to find stamps, find my checkbook again, drive to the post office to pay.
I just think that some of their billing operations is not organized or professional. Put your invoice inside something that looks actually like an invoice. Hand it to the home owner and tell them, this is the bill. On the original project statement, put down the total amount with tax included. Accept ZellePay as a method of payment.
I think they did a decent job with my trees, but do I want to spend 30-45 minutes paying? No, I do not. -
Had a large oak removed a couple of years ago. They came with a crane. I've never seen a tree removed so quickly and cleanly. Extra careful not to damage anything in the lawn.
I've recommended them several times to friends and they've all been very satisfied with their work. -
I can’t say enough good things about Champions Tree. We’ve used them for a few years and always had a good experience. Recently a tree fell on our house and did some major damage, but they were there at 8 am the next morning with a crane to get it off quickly. Was a big win for us during a tough time.

Great company to do business with. After my call, they came out the next day, gave me a very reasonable quote and 2 days later, my very large, overgrown tree was trimmed and cleaned up. The crew was very professional and am very happy with the service!
