Home Services reviews in Houston, Texas

Very knowledgeable and professional. I showed a picture and she knew exactly what it was and answered all of my questions fully so that I could understand. Excellent experience, as it is every time I go there!

Wonderful spot in a great location. Easy, fun shopping.I have never left empty handed.

Another disappointing experience. None of the three workers knew any of the products. One took me to a completely different plant. The other insisted they were out of stock despite having 3 full rows, but still couldn't tell me what kind of hydrangea it was ( I wanted specifically endless summer). And the rest of the plants they couldn't tell me. Plants like lavender and ajuga.
None could guide this other woman to figure out which plants were annual and which perennial, basic term that was foreign to them. I dont even blame them, I blame the manager Miguel for refusing to come assist (not that he knew anything anyway) and for not reaching the basics to his employees or leaving a plant map/cheat sheet. -
The cashier (white female) has a horrible attitude. She told one of the customers to go and learn English because he was having a hard time speaking to her. Her attitude kills the whole Houston garden vibe, which is suppose to be a happy place!

ZERO STAR FOR THIS PLACE!
This location has the worst customer service of entire Houston. I needed to buy 5 feet tall bushes and 4 other hanging baskets. I asked for help getting them and the cashier lady said: “NO, if I can carry you can carry too” Also told the manager he didn’t care either. What kind of business that treat customers like that? So I left and went to Tran nursery at baker cypress. The man helped me with everything I needed plus they were much cheaper than Houston gardens. -
Nice variety of plants. Good organization of plants. Nothing negative about my experience there. I think the plant prices are better than the grocery & hardware stores.

Look for good coupons in the paper. Plants are mostly healthy but choose carefully. Bring muscles and Google with you because tge staff is never eager to help. Make sure you are hydrated when you go..it gets very hot.

Avoid this place, we spent an hour trying to find RedTip Photinia...staff kept saying it's over there, look for it...after 4 people told us where to look....instead of taking us to the plants, the manager comes over to say, they didn't have any, and that the workers there don't know anything about the plants. Waste of time!!! Go to Lowes!

this location was really terrible, the ladies at the counter were on their phones or talking to each other, totally ignoring my questions. many plants were in bad shape. Most of all most of the help seem to care less if we had a good plants or not or if we had help or not

Perhaps good for pine trees but went looking for herbs for the kitchen, basil, coriander, parsley etc. Told me to come back in spring! Absurd!
Helpers were seemingly loafing and questions cluttered their time.
I've been into gardens for decades and this one really is the pits! Do not recommend! -
Very friendly staff and very knowledgeable about the plants as well. I spent over 200 dollars and left very satisfied with everything I wanted and will go back to get more.

Plants, if on sale, are well priced but be careful. This is the third time they have overcharged me. Ask for the receipt that lists plants purchased and price. They usually just give you the charge slip with only the total.
-
They have a wide variety of plants but they do not stand behind them. If they die, there is no chance at receiving a refund. In fact, there are no refunds on anything. Period. Many other items are overpriced.

I experienced horrible customer service here as well. The employees were so inconsiderate that, although I had planned to spend a chunk of money there that day, I loaded my kids back into the car without spending a dime. I even complained to the manager, but she didn't seem to care. My brother in law experienced bad service too! I won't shop here, definitely!

They were not very busy for a Sunday, but I found everything I needed for the project I am doing. The people there are not very helpful and a bit rude, very curt when I asked a question. I know no one wants to work on a Sunday, but a smile will go a long way.

Wide variety, helpful staff, and fair pricing
-
Nice selection but expensive

*VERY, VERY HIGH PRICES AND NO RETURN POLICY.* I found almost the same items at HOME DEPOT, each of them for $50, $30, $20, or $10 LESS. When I went to return them the very same day, they didn’t to want to take them back. Your purchase is final. Won’t purchase anything there any longer. There are many other options out there like At Home with endless options, and OK prices. I told them I would issue a bad review and they did not care.

This garden center is always full of quality plants. Prices are fairly high compared to garden centers in other parts of the state but consistent with Houston pricing. Service is never great but consistently good.
-
One of the best places to get any of your plants and planting supplies. The have a great guarentee but keep your receipt. We have gone here over 20 years, completely satisfied.

Very helpful staff! I once visited 4 times in one day. The gentleman in the booth recognized me and walked me through what I needed. Great service, competitive prices. Will return again for grass this weekend.
