The moving experience with PODS was exactly like I expected. I did a self loading at a PODS facility and that process was easy and the staff were very helpful with my questions. My delivery driver, Albert, was on time and courteous and he took care of business quickly. Upon opening the POD door, all of my contents were in the same position I packed them into (which may come down to not overpacking and good use of ratchet/bungee straps). Overall, the experience was great and I would recommend to anyone relocating a significant distance.

I thought I was prepared. I had a plan, professional movers, and a container scheduled at PODS on Sep 25, 2025. I was recovering from an organ transplant, so hiring movers wasn’t a luxury—it was a necessity. I physically could not load the container myself. Or so I thought.

What happened next was beyond belief. I arrived at the Brookshire location at 3pm to find hours posted on the window that were completely false (See photo), staff on the phone giving contradictory information, and even Google showing incorrect hours. An employee outright refusing to allow us access AT 3PM! My movers, ready to work, stood helpless as I was denied access to my own container. Hours ticked by. Stress mounted. My body, already fragile from surgery, was drained just from trying to navigate this chaos.

The fallout was catastrophic:

$1,189 in movers’ labor went to waste because we had to move everything back into my apartment. Just imagine the tears and frustration of an entire days work and over a thousand dollars to be in the exact same place you were that morning.

$211 for a U-Haul rental to salvage the situation. Where my partner, and A STRANGER, A LOCAL FIREFIGHTER ON HIS DAY OFF helped us load up the U-Haul to then access the POD all over again the next day. Which was CRUNCH time, because we were also shipping our car across country and flying out with our cats the following day.

And a note, if you do think that this isn't of concern to you, it's worth mentioning they put your container in the middle of a parking lot with no shade. So just imagine heat shimmers surrounding you as you load up your POD on a 100 degree day, with limited mobility and nothing fueling you but anger.

Endless stress and hours of wasted time, all because PODS could not provide a service they were paid to deliver.

Even after all this, customer service insisted I provide documentation that had already been submitted and treated my situation as a minor inconvenience. The container was accessible the next day, but the financial and emotional damage was done. I've reached out for a claim after providing all the necessary documents and they seem to be playing the deny, delay, defend game even after recognizing that they provided me with incorrect hours.

This was not just a bad day. This was a complete systemic failure: misinformation, mismanagement, and blatant disregard for customers who are vulnerable, paying, and relying on their service. It could happen to anyone. Anyone who thinks hiring movers and planning ahead will protect them from disaster—think again.

If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, avoid PODS at all costs.

Let me begin by far the worst experience for the past 3 yrs I’ve had the same POD unit stored at this facility. It’s not the facility but the offshore customer rep…Horrible, incompetent and lack US customary service. However DQ!!!! was the best he communicated effectively on his ETA and arrived when he said. Now here is the God send I went to try to unlock the POD and the keys didn’t work and the key wouldn’t turn. I called CS offshore again and of course no support. I was told well the locks get damaged and you can have it cut off. What?!!! I paid for a lock plus 3yrs of payments to store my home items and now I have to figure it out?!!!

Well after that I tried to contact someone at facility and they were closed. So I said let me try the number of the delivery driver (DQ) and you know what he answered my call offered his assistance and came back to my home and cut off the lock!!! Wow is all I can say. This 3yr transition has been long and challenging. But I thank God for it all and I thank DQ for his blessing and for helping me out. (Unloaders scheduled for the next day) Moving is hard and when your met with opposition and people who don’t live in the US they don’t care.

Again THANK YOU DQ!! This young man deserves a promotion and increase in salary!!!!$$$

Don't waste your time with this company. Called several times but never got an answer, filled out the form online and got a response email that they would get back to me. A week later I did it all over again.

Called The Grill Guys, they came out as scheduled and did a fabulous job and still not contact from Longhorn. I don't believe the Google reviews, they must have family and friends making them up.

Excellent work on my Weber grill! Aaron spent about 3 hours thoroughly disassembling and cleaning a Genesis E330 grill. Quite pleased with results and tips to complete a repair. Will use them again.

I’ve used this company for several years and find their work to be very good at a reasonable price. I had Garrett this morning conduct my sprinkler system repair & maintenance. He was very knowledgeable & professional and completed the job in timely manner. He even set my sprinkler system to run 4 days a week! Highly recommend SWIS.

I had an amazing experience with Southwest Irrigation last week. Our sprinklers had been broken for a while. Getting an appointment was simple and easy. The technician, Michael, arrived at our house on time, carefully went over the entire sprinkler system and identified in the broken heads. He also addressed all the other issues we were having with the sprinklers. He kept me updated about the cost and fixed everything very efficiently in a reasonable amount of time. He was also very polite and professional. I wish I had found Southwest Irrigation sooner!

Michael arrived on time and made several adjustments to sprinkler heads and raised a valve box that had dropped below ground surface. All the work was done satisfactorily in a professional manner. We were very pleased with the results.
