Mike and team did a great job with both a major clean out and repair job on our french drains and some landscape updates. The whole team was extremely speedy and professional in all interactions and I can’t recommend these guys enough!! So grateful that our yard won’t be flooding when the inevitable houston rains come this spring and summer!! Thanks Earth Ideas team for the great work!!

Earth Ideas installed a root barrier for us. They have been in the business for a very long time, and are experts. The workers were friendly and careful, doing all of the digging by hand. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. We would highly recommend Earth Ideas.
I might also mention that a root barrier can save you a ton of money, compared to foundation repair. If you have foundation problems, I would strongly suggest getting a professional engineer to assess your situation.

Earth Ideas installed a French Drain System to resolve my drainage issues.

They installed seven catch basins with atrium style drain covers and tied in three gutters to the system, all drain into a PVC pipe wrapping around the house, leading to the front of the house. In addition to this, they regraded a portion of my yard for proper grading away from the house (even graded accordingly for when I laid the grass…enough so the grass sits fit flush with grass line).

Mike was wonderful, he worked with me as I had specific drainage issues…Mike knows his drainage!

The Earth Ideas crew were also professional. When they came out, we reviewed the plan and they executed with no issues.

I am extremely pleased with Earth Ideas work, just wished I did it soon than later. I would recommend Earth Ideas to anyone looking.

Earth Ideas built a paver walkway and resolved drainage issues at my home. The paver walkway is beautiful and functional. The pavers are Belgard Cambridge Cobble.

Earth Ideas also installed eleven catch basins with atrium drain covers that drain via PVC pipe to the curb. One side of the house was a difficult build process with a narrow work area between my home and a retaining wall. Due to the weather it took longer than expected, but Earth Ideas was up to the challenge.

Overall, we are very please with Earth Ideas' work, we just wish they could have controlled the weather and stopped the Great Snowfall and Freeze of 2021, which led to construction delays. :-)

My back lawn was flooding and I needed a drain installed to get the water to the street. Earth Ideas did a great job installing the drains and connections to my gutters. Had my backyard completed by having drainage installed. Earth Ideas Outdoors came out the next day and completed in the morning. Everything went smoothly.

Our backyard turned into a swamp whenever it rained and water sat against the foundation of our house. I wanted to fix the drainage issues and extend our small patio out further. I had several companies give me estimates and I ended up choosing Earth Ideas for the job. From the beginning, the owner Brian and landscape architect Mike made me feel comfortable. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. I can't say enough good things about Mike especially. He oversaw the project and we spoke often throughout. I tend to be a pretty high maintenance customer, asking tons of questions and double checking everything. My fiance will be the first to tell you that. But, Mike was there every step of the way. He made me feel like I was his only customer and was treating my patio like his own. The crew chief Bernardo and his guys were clean, fast and meticulous in the installation. Unsurprisingly, the paver patio turned out beautiful. I couldn't be more happy. I would highly recommend Earth Ideas if you are looking to improve your outdoor living space or fix drainage issues. Wildly exceeded our expectations. Mike and his team did a wonderful job. After we built an addition onto the back of our house, we needed a landscaping overhaul. They installed a new drainage plan, rewired and did an extensive repair job on our sprinkler system, regraded, resodded, and landscaped the front and backyard. The team was efficient, respectful, and communicative. We liked them so much our neighbors 2 houses down are already using them for a job. For reference, we're located in the Timbergrove area.

Mike showed up on time with a clip board and calculator and spend 20 minutes doing a detailed estimate for a french drain + fence + stormwater drain system + 10 stumps + dirt + grass seed + straw + rock around house. Knocked it all out inside 6 days over a 2 week period. The only thing that slows them down is the weather!...highly recommend.

This company was professional in getting me an affordable quote and the 4 man crew was thorough in the drainage job and dirt they installed. They were pleasant and took their time making sure the pipe was leveled correctly and boxes were in good spot. Took one day to get done. The office personnel was patient to answer my questions and very helpful. I would highly recommend them and will be referring work to them.

We had a very good experience with Earth Ideas installing our French drains. The crew were skilled and obviously experienced as they moved easily from task to task. One of my sprinkler lines got broken and it was promptly repaired. When job was complete my lawn was restored and trenches covered. Very satisfied.

I'm sorry to read of other people's poor experiences with Earth Ideas. My experience was extremely positive! We had new landscaping beds put in the front of my daughter's bungalow and one in the back to camo the utilities, removed grass along the driveway and around the garage and replaced with blackstar gravel, put in a blackstar gravel walkway with existing concrete pavers, and installed a new brick paver patio on the back of the house, as well as a small brick paver pad next to the garage for the grill. Mike came out to give us the estimate, worked with us on the design of the patio/pad, as well as the new flower beds and what types of plants. He was extremely responsive and communication was excellent. Bonnie in the office was also great to work with. I'm extremely happy with the results. I felt their pricing was competitive and they got it all done in 2 days! The whole crew had an outstanding work ethic: they were polite, kind, hardworking, and considerate. I would recommend this company!

I requested reviews from several Biobarrier installers and received reliable, quick service by the company with their onsite quote and resulting installation of about 40 ft of Biobarrier in three areas of my backyard in an attempt to stop roots from neighboring trees from sucking moisture from my garage foundation and pool walls/deck. The crew were timely, personable, avoided cables, pool and sewer lines, and left a clean yard and driveway after completion of the. I would highly recommended them for the important work they do.

Great customer service an yes they bring out a whole crew!! I’ve had projects in the past where it took forever and I felt last on the list.

They had me on the schedule ASAP and professionally done from estimation to project timeline and delivery.

As we know in Houston we get a lot of rain and French drains and gutters need to direct water to the street. I got straight answers without fluff.

In fact they sent pictures so I can have it for my records.

Also I had multiple quotes and I believe Mike and his team are the best fit.

I look forward to doing more projects with them in the future as they also do landscaping, pavers, and other projects.

Rude interaction on the phone, I wouldn't use them for my landscaping needs.

They put in an extensive (French drain) system, complete guttering and did some landscaping...the price was very reasonable and the work was
done carefully and on time...they offer a good warranty...office and workmen were easy to communicate with...I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them...

Great experience! Had them come out to put in drainage and a flagstone walk. Got the estimate the same day as the visit with lots of great advice. Grass and yard still look great after all the digging. Drains work like a dream.

The person - who I assume is the owner - greeted my wife with the following remark when she opened the door, "I don't know why my daughter booked this for me - you can't afford me." After that he stayed in our home and proceeded to ridicule the appointment and denigrate our home the whole time he was there. He offered prices as he went - assuming that we could not afford the work - based on comments he made along the way. He then decided to end the consult by giving a referral to someone else and then adding that his referral was also not cheap. I don't know how this person has or keeps business.

Absolutely trustworthy and professional people. Johnny is the owner. We had extensive drainage work done in our front and back yards. The team has been with Johnny for decades. They truly are a professional group. Their work had a couple of small problems after completion and Johnny was most concerned. He came by almost immediately and fixed them.....no charge....no worries...and most apologetic.
He's not the cheapest, because we had multiple quotes. We chose him because he seemed to know, better than most, what we needed.
He was right.

I have had the pleasure of using Blalock Landscaping on 2 occasions now. The first time, they installed a drainage system in my backyard and the second time they fixed my front flower beds and installed a patio in my backyard. I am extremely pleased with the outcome on both occasions.
