This was a great service call. Eddie was knowledgeable, polite, conversational, and was deliberate in his assessment. He did some troubleshooting and immediately diagnosed the issue. he also replaced some screws that were missing in the compressor case. Not a big thing, but its those little things that matter. The fee was reasonable and the service was excellent. I'm gonna call again.

A different HVAC company told me that with parts and repair, the project would be $2,000. Eddie with Legacy inspected my system and said there was nothing wrong. I was prepared to spend a ton of money and Eddie could have taken advantage, but was honest and ultimately saved me a ton of money.

Dishonest company with zero integrity! If you are a property management company or homeowner with renters that need work done, please do NOT use this company! It appears they use independent subcontracted technicians, who don't even care to show up or communicate about their $96 rescheduled appointments for a simple HVAC cleaning and checkup. If you try reaching out to their business number, a representative will use all sorts of sales tactics to gaslight and shift the blame to you as the client for their mistakes and shortcomings. Please read the other reviews about their other clients having their appointments missed and suffering the consequences of the mistakes due to their rushed, mismanaged, and inexperienced technicians. Below will be a description of my nightmare experiences with this company:

Like another client's review, I had no choice but to work with G&S Mechanical, as the initial appointment was scheduled by the property management company of the rental property. The initial cleaning and checkup appointment was unable to be completed due to my personal error. I accepted the blame and responsibility, and paid the $96 rescheduling fee that was expected to be paid in a short time frame. This fee has been paid in full; however, G&C has failed to provide the services this fee was meant to cover within the rescheduled appointment time frame of 11am - 5pm. Speaking with Trish over the phone, I was refused any form of accommodation or reconciliation for completely missing my rescheduled appointment AND failing to communicate about the delays. G&S Mechanical and Trish expected me to accept that a technician could arrive any time that evening, but would not be able to arrive within an hour after the scheduled time frame. As a working college student, this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional, especially expecting me to accept your company's overbookings and excessive lateness, and trying to blame me for not keeping the scheduled date and allowing your technicians to come into my home at any point in the night after business hours. It's a shame that now HVAC companies like your company G&S Mechanical are taking advantage of college students for their money. I have accepted my responsibility for the initial appointment, so please admit your mistake this time around and come to a reasonable resolution! I plan on reporting these practices to the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation, especially if another rescheduled appointment cannot arranged in a reasonable time or if my initial rescheduling appointment fee cannot be refunded, in the case that timely accommodations cannot be made.

I highly recommend G&S. Their pricing is very competitive AND their technicians are professional, patient, and very thorough! A realtor friend who had used them personally strongly suggested that I contact this company for an HVAC replacement quote. After the install, my tenants were so pleased that they specifically wrote me an email to tell me how impressed they were. Additionally, G&S has a good team of staff who are communicative, efficient and professional. I will definitely use G&S again for my properties.
