From the beginning to end this company is first rate. The proposal for central air and new furnace was well explained, with various options. Upon obtaining other bids, I chose this company, I found their service to be very professional, courteous and done all in one day. The crew were a great team, always answering questions and explaining the details of the install. I was extremely pleased and will highly recommend Benchmark Heating & Cooling to anyone seeking any of their services.

The most honest, trustworthy service I have ever received and at a fair price. (Most good and honest guys like this are over priced in my opinion.) Jack came in and gave me a full assessment of my all units and how they were functioning and what the issues were(at no cost I might add). With the issues he found (and there were a few I already knew), he broke them down in small estimates in order of most important and how best to correct them. He even took one of my units home, fixed it over night and brought it back the next day (rather than trying to charge me for a whole new unit).
I cannot say enough good about this man and his company Benchmark. If only there were more people like him in different industries. Getting things fixed and done at home would be much more simple and cost effective.

1st class, professional service, products, and installation. Jack and his crew really know their stuff. I am very happy with the Mitsubishi split twin HVAC system that they installed a couple of weeks ago. Everything went exactly as they said it would.

Jack and William clearly know what they are doing. After calling Jack and speaking with him in person, I knew he was the right contractor for me. He answered all of my questions and showed me the ideal solution for my situation.

They installed a 3/4 ton mini split heat pump in my home office in a half day. Now instead of running my 12 SEER central AC system for my 2300 sqft house during my work day, I can run the 30.5 SEER mini split to heat and cool my office. This should save me some serious money and keep me more comfortable during the extreme summer and winter temperatures. His prices were in line with other dealer's quotes but he includes a 12 year warranty because he is a diamond dealer with Mitsubishi, which is a huge plus (standard warranties are 7 years).

The inverter compressor is very impressive because it doesnt turn on and off like a traditional AC system. It changes the compressor speed based on the demand, which keeps the room at a comfortable temperature all of the time while using a fraction of the energy of a traditional system. I have an energy monitor on my house and the new AC uses between 75-200 watts to keep my office maintained at 75 degrees. Even if I bump the temperature as low as it can go, I can only get it to consume 750 watts! On top of all of that, you barely know this system is running because of how quiet it is (even the outdoor unit barely makes noise at its highest speed).

My house is just a little over 14 years old. Our traditional unit was in need of replacement and my wife and I wanted to research other options regarding the heating and cooling of our house. We did all the online research we could do and decided to call Jack to get some first hand knowledge. A few months later we decided to take the leap with ductless throughout our entire house. We wouldn't change it for the world. Jack and his guys were clean, professional and courteous. They worked hard and were very efficient. I enjoyed having them around.

A family member recommended Benchmark based upon years of great service. Like the other reviews here, we are very impressed with Benchmark’s work to install two new Mitsubishi systems in our older home. One system was to replace one we had bought new 12 years ago by a local service company that struggled to maintain the product they sold us and were constantly needing hundreds of dollars to repair. Benchmark arrived promptly each day, vacuumed daily at the end of each day, replaced poor quality ducting original to the house, removed all prior components, and are among the most courteous professionals we have had work with us. We are looking forward to a cool summer and reduced electric bills! We are going to use Benchmark for all of their services going forward!

I met Jack and his son William over a year ago to troubleshoot an issue I was having with a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim unit in my garage. They promptly were able to diagnose the problem and corrected things to like new condition. Seems the unit was improperly installed from the get-go. In retrospect, I wish I had used Benchmark Service to install the unit to begin with. Click the dealer locator link on the Mitsubishi website and you won't find but one Diamond 'Elite' Contractor in our area. There's a reason Jack has earned the Elite status.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago where I approached him about installing a Mitsubishi unit in my Master Bedroom to act as an alternate to my central HVAC system. Instead of a Mr. Slim system he suggested the sleek and unobtrusive Mitsubishi cassette ceiling unit to ice down the bedroom at night. His bid was more than fair and as usual the work was performed in an efficient and professional manner.

If I could choose 10 stars to rate Benchmark Service I would. Bottom line, good honest people that are a pleasure to have out to the house. Highly recommended.

Jack is by far the most knowledgeable HVAC technician I've ever met. He has a deep knowledge of the inner workings of Mitsubishi units and will work to install the perfect unit for his client's needs. His team was extremely professional, hard working, and respectful during the entire install. To top it all off his prices were extremely reasonable.

This team is excellent! Everyone involved was very nice and professional. William and Juan fixed my issue very quickly and even showed me what was going on and why my AC unit stopped working to begin with, and after fixing my problem William went through and gave me tips on how to maintain my system so that it doesn’t break like it did again. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely be using them again if I have another issue come up in the future.

William and Juan ran a new line set to my mitsubishi ducted split system as the builder installed line set was leaking. William and Juan are always professional, on-time, and only charge for the things I really need. I'm always confident calling Benchmark and am thrilled I have a trusted A/C provider.

Wonderful experience with Benchmark! Jennifer, Jack & William were all great to work with. I wasn't the best communicator through the quote process, but they were patient with me and responsive. The quote was competitive and other folks didn't come close in some research. The install was great - quiet and quick! (We have a two month old in the house and she wasn't disturbed at all.) The unit looks and works great.

Jack Schmidt of Benchmark Service came to the rescue. We had a different vendor install a Mitsubishi mini split in our primary bedroom. After numerous calls and several years of adding expensive refrigerant, we needed to have someone competent to repair or replace our unit. Since our original vendor would not stand behind their installation even though the unit was still under warranty, we called Jack. He responded very promptly and as the largest Mitsubishi mini split installer in Texas he had the parts, tools, and staff to properly replace the line set and indoor unit which was installed poorly by our original vendor. In addition, Jack and Benchmark Service charged us much less for the replacement than we were quoted by the original vendor. Benchmark did the replacement with quality and at a reasonable price. They replaced the poorly installed line set, replaced the indoor unit with a new and improved model, and did it all for less than the original vendor wanted just to replace a part which would not have solved our problem. We are sold on Jack, our technician William, and Benchmark Services. They are our new go-to AC vendor. Jack and William we can’t thank you enough, we are very happy with your solution which is working great so far.

Great service and quality! Jack and team showed up on time to install a ductless unit over the summer in my home office. Very happy with the AC! It's quiet and works perfectly.

About 3 months later in the fall I did a small home renovation and the indoor unit had to be moved. I contacted Jack and he showed up same day within an hour to get everything moved so contractors could continue with their job. Ended up saving me time and money on renovation so crew could continue working.

I was very impressed with my interaction with Jack from the beginning. He was confident in his experience but never pushy or high pressure. He and his sons came and easily installed my Mitsubishi mini split ductless unit in our garage in less than a few hours. You can tell they have done this hundreds of times before. They also did it for less than 2 other quotes I received. They were polite and cleaned up and they were on their way. My AC/Heater in the garage works great and is so quiet! So glad I chose this very quiet Mitsubishi brand model, and Mitsubishi was who recommended Jack as an expert installer in the DFW area. Jack even patiently taught me how to program it. Jack and his son William installed 5 Mitsubishi ductless wall units in our home last year, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! Not only did they do an amazing job of install, with tons of attention to detail, but the respect they showed for our home and the quality of work is beyond compare. Just this past week we had them back out to install an exhaust fan in our master bath, and once again they proved they are the best in town at what they do; no wonder they are currently the only Mitsubishi Diamond contractor in Dallas. The Benchmark team led by Jack installed a hyper-efficient new Mitsubishi mini-split for us last week, for a small (10x10) home office that stubbornly always ran 4-5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. I was extremely happy with Jack's very thorough consultative customer service throughout the entire experience.

I had been dismissively quoted low-end units by 2 other companies which asked very few questions and definitely didn't pay any attention to what I was aiming to accomplish - I needed energy-efficiency, QUIET operation, and some type of app-based control. Jack spent at least 20 minutes alone talking through the tough installation scenario I had, carefully reviewed photos I had taken, etc.

I had a very tight-quartered installation scenario, but the crew did a great job of working with me to figure out a creative solution to route/hide the condensate line through an adjacent closet so that I wouldn't have to deal with a noisy failure-prone condensate pump.

Jack took extra time once everything was done to make sure I understood all the functions and maintenance needs of the system, as well as explaining how to make sure we receive the big (30%!) energy efficiency federal tax credit next year.

Just a terrific experience overall, and I look forward to hiring Benchmark again when I finally decide to add a mini-split to our garage as well.

I have been using Benchmark for more than 15 years on two properties I owned in Dallas. They have always been top notch and professional and a value service provider. Do yourself a favor and give them a call for any HVAC needs.

Benchmark was incredible! They handled the installation of two Mitsubishi mini slit systems, including upgrading the electrical that was insufficient even for the original unit that was replaced. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends!
