Jack, along with his son and nephew, recently installed a Mitsubishi ductless unit in my home recording studio and I couldn’t be more satisfied with both the product and their service. They were incredibly knowledgeable and their work was impeccable. I called multiple other local HVAC services and none would even return my calls, however I’m so lucky they didn’t because it led me to these great people. Installation was done swiftly and properly, and I have no doubt their work will hold up for years to come. They couldn’t have been more polite and the degree of their professionalism was of the highest caliber. I couldn’t recommend Benchmark Service enough. 11/10 👍🏻👌🏻💯

I have used Jack Schmidt's Benchmark HVAC to install (for me personally) SEVEN different Mitsubishi Mini-split systems! And not only that, they fixed an upstairs TV room ventilation with a silent booster fan and an additional AC return on a conventional unit, and diagnosed a weird problem nobody else did (Upstairs vent hooked to a downstairs air handler)!

Jack and his son are the backbone of this family owned business and their estimates are good, they show up when they say the will, do the work perfectly, clean up the job site inside and out, and are terrific all 'round. The one time one of my Mitsus had an issue they came quickly, diagnosed and fixed it on the spot, and that let me know I chose wisely.

Are they the cheapest? Probably not, but cheap has its own costs. Spend the bit extra and get that: extra.

I'll use them for all my HVAC. They're that good. I recommend them.

I contacted Benchmark for a mini-split installation on a second-floor storage room that I was turning into a “liveable space.” I got an accurate quote and prompt scheduling. Once on site, the work was finished in about three hours. Great job overall.

Jack and his team did a great job installing a Mitsubishi mini split in my garage. Arrived on time and finished in a few hours. Out the door price was exactly as quoted, no surprises. Also wanted to do this before end of the year 2025 to take advantage of energy efficiency tax credit before it expires. Highly recommend Benchmark Service.

Jack is great to work with. Jack came out on a Saturday morning (how many contractors do that?) to give me estimate. Within a half hour he had explained everything to me. He gave full information and answered all my questions. We set a time for the next Tuesday

Jack and crew showed up this morning when he said he would be here. He and his crew of 3 young men got to work right away. It took about 3 hours to install my new ductless unit. They were very neat and tidy. They cleaned up after they were done. Once finished, Jack explained how everything worked and showed me how to use the remote.

Jack did an amazing job on our upstairs media room Mitsubishi AC unit several years ago, and just recently installed a mini-split unit in our master bedroom. Now those 2 rooms are the coldest in the house and are actually keeping the entire home temp down to 72 degrees in this Texas summer heat and our central AC hardly has to turn on. Jack is very nice, knowledgeable, and honest. He spent a significant time to explain everything and will even give advice anytime I call. I would 100% recommend him for your AC/HEATING services!

Jack, William, and the entire Benchmark team were awesome. Back in April 2023 had a whole home system installed replacing the old central air and heat. The new system was a 4 zone system, run from a Mitsubishi Hyper-efficient 4 ton unit, which included a ceiling cassette for each bedroom and a ducted unit for the main living space. The install was great. The team was polite, and kept the install very clean. Happy to report that after nearly a full year of using the system I could not be happier. The system performs flawlessly, and the individual zones are perfect for those hot summer days or cold winter nights. Also a huge perk was the cost saving on the utilities bill. Would highly recommend the Benchmark team!

I had gotten 3 bids for a mini split and went with Benchmark since not only were they the most reasonably priced, but the Owner Jack came out himself and took the time to design the best solution, and made me feel comfortable with the investment. Once on his site, his team did a great job with the install. Everyone was super professional and easy to work with.

Installation of a new AC/Hear Mitsubishi MiniSplit was excellent. They routed lines in my wall and through dead space above garage to minimize visibility on outside of the house. Looks and works perfect. Would highly recommend

if you are looking for a creative space or cooling a hot area in your house or just making your bedroom customize comfortable or even making your garage a safe space to work without getting overheated in this Texas heat I recommend them 10,000%.
As an artist, musician and voice actor, a backyard shed has always been a dream creative space for me. There’s only been one little problem the temperature. In the hottest seasons of the year, I would constantly have to lug my art supplies back-and-forth between my outdoor studio and the house. Even in the winter, I would have to bring my paints inside to keep them from freezing. But now that is not the case I have perfect heating and cooling for all of my projects from clay sculpting to painting to even my voice acting and music recording.
I was super impressed with how silent The AC system is as a voice actor minimizing the background noise is imperative and I can’t hear it at all on any of my recordings. I get more work done now than I ever did before because I have my own little sanctuary where I can get everything I want done.
In conclusion, Benchmark is setting the standard for genuine and honest work for high quality products that make your everyday uncomfortable spaces comfortable. I look forward to the next spice I will need them for! (and to my next service)

Jack and his crew from Benchmark Services just completed another project for us….& as always we are delighted! The system they designed is working perfectly. Jack, Will, & Hunter are great to work with. They are professional, thorough, and downright fun to work with! These guys patient, we started planning the project 18 months ago. Once it started Benchmark was ready and met EVERY deadline on our time table. Their work has been and always is exceptional.

Jack and his crew installed a Mitsubishi mini-split  system in our master bedroom in January.  They showed up on time, ran a 240-volt service line from the electrical panel in the garage, installed the ceiling unit in a custom box that they built on site, the outdoor unit, and cleaned up everything in about 6 hours.  The goal was to provide supplemental cooling in the summertime so we can sleep cold without having to chill the entire house.   A typical Dallas summer later, and I can say it worked just like Jack said it would.  The system has worked flawlessly.
