Great experience with Chris and team. All of his crews were super friendly and went above and beyond to please the customer. His timeline was very accurate from the beginning and when we had questions they were super responsive. We interviewed many pool builders. I wanted someone who stood by their product and was in the pool business for the long run. We highly recommend. Fantastic quality.

From the first phone call to the last walk-through, we could not have been happier with the owner Chris and his team at Sahara Construction & Custom Pools. My wife had an image in her head and knew exactly what she wanted. A custom project from day one - he made her vision a reality. Every person Sahara sent to the job site was courteous and committed to the project. The focus on customer service was greatly appreciated as well. Chris was always just a text or phone call away and was a great resource to us even when it did not relate to the project at hand.

We recently had Sahara Construction to install a pool, stamped concrete patio, patio cover and pergola in our backyard. WOW! What a great job. Even though the rains set-in for a couple of weeks and halted construction for a while, the worked performed was done in a superior manner. Very friendly people to work with, and were always eager to answer our questions and concerns. Our family and friends are going to enjoy our backyard for years to come.

We had several pool builders bid on our new pool and went with Sahara Construction. They were not the low bidder but as I did a little investigating on the equipment being offered from other providers and Sahara Construction, we decided on Sahara. Chris was available whenever I needed him to answer questions or to hear my concerns and handled them professionally. When something didn't go as planned I didn't find out from anyone but Chris and he was accountable for everything even things out of his control. The job came in within the planned cost and in a very reasonable timeframe, compared to other people I knew who had pools built. It just what my wife and I envisioned when we sat down and thought about how we wanted our backyard to look. Overall, a very good experience. I would recommend Chris and his team to people I know and feel confident that Sahara Construction would come through for them as they did for me and my family.

Do not use this company. This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences ive had with a contractor. My project has been ongoing since April 2022 with an estimated completion date of summer 2022, it is now the end of January 2023 and the work is still not completed. I cannot get a response from the owner except when I am persistent. My yard is trashed, left with exposed pipes and piles of materials. None of the plumbing has been completed and the work itself is not high quality. The owner has nothing but excuses when we finally connect. Do not pay for anything up front as you will never hear from them again. There are many pool construction companies available in Houston, you will want to avoid Sahara if you want a customer experience that matches what you paid.

Chris and his team delivered on a backyard paradise better than we could have imagined. When we decided to build a pool and outdoor living space, we called 5+ companies, many of which didn’t return our call, and others who didn’t think we were worth their time simply because we were shopping around builders. Chris came out soon after the first call, spent almost 2 hours with us talking about what he thought would be the best use of our space to hit every checkbox on our wishlist. No other company left us excited to work with them. Within a few days we had 3D renderings and a contract. We were so impressed with the customer service and the communication throughout the whole process, pricing, and quality of work from Sahara, and could not be happier with the results. 100% satisfied and would build with Sahara again.

JUST FOUND OUT::: INSTALLED HEATER NOT TO CODE.. THIS IS LIFE THREATENING INCOMPETENCE!!!
Do not use them. Our pool is barely two years old and tiles are falling off the side. Also one of the construction managers is a liar.
I have so many pictures and videos of how terrible their customer service is.
I have communicated with 3 to 4 other pool builders and cleaners that have over 30 years of experience and they all say do not use them.
I waited to post this because I wanted to make sure we were out of warranty with them but it really doesn't matter because they use cheap material and third-hand construction parties to get the job done if you want to say done.
We don't even want them back on our property.
This is the truth. Silicone and essentially a glue to hold the verticals in place instead mortar.
They may offer a cheaper price, however, that is evident to us now.
We literally had one of the vertical side Stone pieces fall off and it had silicone as a glue.
Again, several different people that have decades of experience enlghtened us about what's the heat hits, the vertical stonework will start to fall off. Also, it will bleed yellow goop in-between.
The equipment that was installed is good.
However, they use piping to our heater that is already rusting.
I talked to Hayward and they said that should not be happening.
Sub par materials.
Empty promises.
Dishonest project managers.
An example of blatant lies: the wireless/app was working when the project manager left our house even though it was not working properly ( verified by Hayward).
Fences were not reattached correctly.
It took so much to get them to come out and fix everything that was not done properly.
Check out downspouts and then installed downspouts that were not painted.
They were only primered and did not color match what they were originally.
The list goes on.
I have pictures and documentation.
I am not being defamatory.
I took videos and pictures of the entire process.
Before the end of it all, the owner of the company blocked our calls.
And that was the main number to their company.
Absolutely ridiculous.
Again I have documentation of all of this.

Sahara transformed our backyard with a stunning pool and beautiful landscaping. This year has been tough on parts and labor, but every Sahara team member was helpful and pleasant as we all worked through the project. Each item we addressed with concerns was handled with no questions asked and now we have an amazing pool to enjoy for years to come. Give Sahara a call for a quote and you’ll see they give you the most bang for your buck, by far!

Sahara completed construction of our pool recently and we are very pleased. The pool turned out beautiful! The builders were very professional, experienced, and easy to communicate with. Even with additions to original plans, they still came in under budget. Many things could have gone horribly wrong as they dug it prior to the two hurricanes we had this summer but they seemed to have a plan for each possible pit falls. Very impressed.

Sahara construction is the best of the best.. we are extremely pleased with the whole process of getting our first pool. We got 6 different quotes and Chris’s was the best bang for my buck, indefinitely. He came out and drew our design and quoted us on site which is incredible because other companies took days/weeks for this step. Asides from that, every time I call, Letty the office manager always answers and is very courteous and helpful. Our time frame on completion has also been decent considering Covid. (3 months) Poor neighbors of ours have an untarped muddy hole since august.. what a nightmare! w
With Sahara, his team is definitely on top of things and I couldn’t be more thankful we chose them as our pool builders.

We got our pool completed in September with Sahara Construction and we are very happy with the outcome. From the very beginning they were very professional, answering our questions and giving us a quote to helping us with putting into the design what we wanted. Everything came out perfect. I have already recommended a few friends that were considering a pool just for them to get a quote and would recommend to anyone.

Chris and his team built our pool three years ago and not only did they build us a beautiful backyard, but they have been extremely responsive and helpful with repairs after the Houston freeze. Pool companies have been inundated with repair issues this year and parts were almost impossible to find. His team came out and repaired our parts that needed to be fixed just as soon as we were able to get them delivered. Even now when we had an issue with our pump, we texted Chris and he had his Hayward rep at our house the next day and problem solved. We had no luck trying to reach Hayward directly so we were once again grateful for his continued help! During the build process they hit every date they promised and worked with us to get us exactly what we envisioned for our home. Great company, beautiful pools and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I highly recommend Sahara if you are in the market for a pool. Their service and quality of work are top notch. Not only do they construct the pool, they put everything back. From the yard, fencing, cleaning, and even landscaping behind the pool. The owner, Chris, is very professional and knowledgeable. Our experience with Sahara has been awesome. All of the staff are very nice and helpful. Toni, the project manager, was always there to answers questions and very quick to respond to texts.

Sahara is a first class pool company! Chris and his team did an amazing job building our backyard oasis. The quality of his teams work is second to none and the equipment he uses is top of the line. Chris worked with us daily from start to finish. We had 6 pool companies out to design and quote us on our pool, but none of them included everything Sahara did for the one price! Sahara is the complete package when you use them!

We hired Sahara to do some concrete work and build a pergola. It was commissioned Sept 2022 and was supposed to be completed November 2022. We would go weeks without any communication and no one showing up. We had to hound the owner consistently in order to elicit a response. The job ended up not finishing until April 2023. The quality of work is okay, but the delays and poor communication made this a very negative experience. Especially considering the very high price tag for the job ($30k). We will not being using Sahara again, and will not be recommending them.

Sahara built a custom pool and spa for us this year and we have been highly satisfied with the quality of work they've achieved. Throughout the process - from design through construction - we found Chris and the team easy to work with, straightforward, and knowledgeable. We'll definitely enjoy our new pool for years to come!

Sahara Construction Pools team did an outstanding job on my pool and outdoor kitchen that I couldn’t be more happy with. I loved the amazing results! Chris, Junior and the whole team at Sahara custom pools did an amazing job building my family a backyard that we can enjoy for years to come. As someone who is fully aware of the supply shortages, staffing issues, and every other hardship that has come with the pandemic I can truly appreciate the hard work that went into completing our project on time. The thing that I am most impressed with is the quality of workmanship of our pool. Watching each team come in my backyard and take their time to do things the right way was very impressive. Our pool is gorgeous and everyone who has seen it has been truly impressed with the workmanship that we received. Throughout the process anytime I had questions I was able to text Junior and he always responded as soon as he had a moment. Building something as expensive as a pool can be a stressful experience but I feel like Junior’s patience with us made the experience much less stressful. We just completed our pool in Aug with Sahara Construction and pools. From the initial conversation through the completion of the project we were extremely pleased with their communication, their professionalism & how they exceeded our expectations. They guided us through each step of the process and were always willing to answer any and all questions. Sahara Construction and Pools designed and installed our first pool. Chris was great to work with. From the moment he walked in my home, he had a vision of what design would look best for the design of our home and backyard. We trusted him with his opinion and guidance along the way. This is our first experience with building a pool and now that it’s done, it was well worth the wait. It did take longer than originally quoted due to Covid-19 and weather. Overall, we had a great experience with the process and all the projects managers.
