We read quite a bit of the review before choosing to use Sahara to build our pool. We went and met with five different pool builders before finally choosing Sahara. It all came down to feeling that we were more than a project on the list.

We had an enormous scope of work with our new build. We had a pool, outdoor kitchen, spa, fire pit, and massive outdoor kitchen built. Yes, they went over the four-month estimate; however, when we called Chris and informed him we had a party planned, he hit the date and made sure that everything was ready to go.

Some reviews say that they only saw one crew a week; however, when they show up, they come in force, and high-quality work was all we received. All of the Sahara employees were very friendly. We even had one help unload an oversized shipment out of the back of my truck, and I didn't even ask; he volunteered.

People of this caliber are hard to come by in this day and age where most people are simply a number. The project manager even took my call on a Saturday night to help answer questions, and if there was a need, Chris always answered or returned my call within the hour.

We will continue to use Sahara Pools for all our future builds!

Can’t say enough about Chris and his crew at Sahara Construction. From the beginning until now (basically done with only landscaping left!) they’ve been very professional and have done a great job at accommodating our needs. They’ve stuck to the agreed upon 10 week timeline, and have done an excellent job at communicating the schedule throughout the building process. Anytime I’ve had questions (and there has been a lot!) they have always responded timely and politely, which I’ve really appreciated. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to put in a pool, as I can guarantee the quality and size of pool you’re getting will be by and large more cost effective with Sahara than your other pool builders! I got several quotes and no one could touch Sahara on the type of equipment, materials, and size of pool they could offer!

Updated post: since getting the pool done there have been constant issues with no answer from Sahara or Chris.

One year in lights went out.
Two years in the heater randomly kicks on. Not under warranty when the contract said three years. Bull kitchen equipment stopped working again under warranty and NO RESPONSE. Now the kicker the skimmers have metal underneath which have fully rusted so spending more money yet again to fix the poor workmanship.

For reference old review: Love our pool. We started shopping for pools in June, Chris came out right away met with us and sketched out a design. He gave us insight into things we didn’t know to consider. In the end we choose Sahara in August with a timeline of 16 weeks. Due to circumstances beyond Sahara’s control such as covid and hurricane like rain, the timeline extended to 20 weeks. Chris and Junior communicated the delays as they knew them. The pool and kitchen are complete and we can’t wait to use it once the weather gets a tad bit warmer. Excellent detail to work.

Chris and Gary at Sahara Construction were great to work with when building our family pool. They communicated regularly and would return any call right away. Throughout the project, we were kept informed and connected with photos and emails letting us know what to expect and what the time line was for the coming days. It was great to see that they were on site regularly making sure everything was going as planned and were responsive. The pool has turned out great and our family and friends are enjoying it daily! We would recommend working with Sahara Construction on your next construction project.

We built a pool and an outdoor structure with Sahara. From the very beginning we were given a very detail design of our pool and structure just the way we wanted it. We loved that Chris was very open and willing to work with us. Junior, our Project manager, was excellent and kept in constant communication with us. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The workmanship is fantastic. They built us a beautiful pool that we love very much and are very happy with! Thank you for creating our own little Oasis in our backyard!

We love our Sahara pool! The process was super easy and each person on the job worked to make sure we were happy customers. Not only did they build us a great pool, but they replaced all grass, fixed the fence, sidewalk and other things that inevitably happen during the construction process. Our pool was built during COVID and the great freeze which brought other challenges. Sahara worked to make sure the job was done as timely as possible and gave us the backyard oasis we now love! Sahara Pools and Construction is an amazing company! They built our pool three years ago, and my family absolutely loves it. We’ve hosted numerous birthday parties and events around it.

Yesterday, my pool pump stopped working due to something I did, and I was really concerned that I had broken something. In a panic, I called Sahara and spoke with Chris. He calmed me down and guided me through the troubleshooting process step by step. I was nervous, but I trusted his expertise and followed his instructions. I’m happy to say that my pool is now working like new!

Very pleased with the quality of the pool designed and build by Sahara. We started this process in the middle of the covid shut down but Chris still came out to meet us in person and responded quickly. We have a small yard and they were able to design something that’s perfect for us. We are very happy with all the features and we are glad we went with the automated feature upgrades. It really takes the guess work out of pool ownership. We only regret waiting this long to get a pool!

Chris was so generous with his time, his project managers, and truly all team members, at every level were respectful and responsive to all situations & inquiries. We were never left hanging or in the dark, the materials used are quality & gorgeous, the craftsmanship borders on artistry. Sahara took our home from an 8 to a 10, thanks to them we’ll be making memories in our now magically magnificent backyard for years to come.

I can’t say enough about Sahara Pools. From day one Chris, the owner, was upfront and professional about pricing and design with my family. He embraced our vision for our dream back yard and drew the design on the spot and it was all good from there. His office staff, Deah and Letty, are always responsive to any questions we had and they were able to attain our permitting in a timely manner. Tony, our construction manager, was responsive and addressed any concerns we had with timeline, materials (material shortages) and completion of the build. There were parts during the time line of our build (it was a big project with pergola and pool) that were frustrating, but Chris and his team were able to get the job completed before our house warming party. Our guests were impressed with the quality, design and features of our pool and pergola. If I were to do it all over again, I would still choose this company because they are lead by a great owner.

I haven’t had an experience this positive with a home company in forever. I love my pool, definitely the best pool builders in Houston! ☀️👙🏊🏼

They were very professional and fast. Their quality of service is exactly what a company should be.

Alfonso gave me an estimate and was timely, clear and detailed.
I ended up going with another company due to pricing but my experience was very positive.

The construction process was impressive, they brought like 30 or 40 people to work on my pool and everyone of them knew what they were doing, it’s like if they had practiced. Really, they met and exceeded our expectations, everything is so good, we had our ideas and Alfonso gave us some suggestions that I’m glad we listened to. I’m very happy with the results.

This is the second pool we have built, the whole process was so much better with fnc. We had a hard experience the first time we built a pool because it took 6 months to build, but this time, fnc custom pools built our new pool, and outdoor kitchen in 5 weeks. We’re very happy with the pool but even more happy with how smooth the process was. When we move in 5 years, we’ll make sure to call fnc custom pools.

These guys did a great job with the pool. Great customer service. May need another company for landscaping. Pools are definitely their strong suit.

I recommend the fnc custom pool company, they have a great designer, we didn’t want our pool designed by a salesperson, we wanted it designed by a professional pool designer, and their renders are amazingly realistic. The permits took 3 weeks for the city and almost a month for the HOA, the construction time was exactly 33 days from the digging day. One of their employees broke a sprinkler but they fixed it a couple of days later. Overall, I recommend this company, for their prices and construction time.

FNC pools customer service is great. We had an issue with our heater and they were on top of it. They came over and fixed it for us. Thank you so much Rene and Alfonso. You guys are great!!

I couldn't be happier with this builder, the best proof is that I first hired them to build my swimming pool, and then I asked them to build an outdoor kitchen and a bathroom, then I added synthetic turf for the entire backyard, and I'm sure I will continue to hire them, that's how satisfied I am with them.
