I was ready to buy a pool and their great salesman ignores you and try's to talk down to you. We will end up going with some one else! Stay away from these people!

They do a good job of regular maintenance but if you need anything other than regular maintenance be prepared to wait for months and months with zero follow up.

It’s been almost two years and these people still haven’t finished my parents pool. You can never get anyone out and no one answers the phone.They are always giving them the run around. JUST DONT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS.

Came and looked at our pool for replastering. Will not return calls or emails or give us a quote. Disappointed they wasted our time and dont want our business. Please avoid

Preferred pools was awesome. Built our pool from ground break, to swimming in a little over a month. It was a very easy process, and our pool is beautiful.

If you're thinking about having a pool built you should run fast away from this company. You invests your hard earned money and do not need a company that ignores your request or insults your decisions. They do not control their subs or really care about what you the customer really wants.

We had lots of issues following our install with service 2.5 yrs ago, but I will say Preferred in my current experience has been great. So, job well done in fixing the service standards.

David built our pool 18 years ago and apart for the typically wear the pool is still going strong. They also have serviced our pool and kept it contanstly running. I have no complaints only good experiences.

We used Preferred Pools to build a new pool without issue. We were swimming in less than 60 days and only have positive things to say about them. I would definitely recommend them.

Tun don’t walk away from this company!!! The sales and design part was wonderful. After that it was all down hill. Our foreman didn’t communicate with us and the subs did subpar work. There is no follow up and no concern for what we wanted. Once they got their $ they didn’t care.
Use another pool company.

We were looking for a pool renovation. It took 3 calls to get a return call over a couple of weeks. The response was: We will have someone call you to set up an appointment." Finally received a call and set an appointment. Nobody showed for the appointment. Called them. They said they couldn't find an appointment scheduled, but they could have someone call to schedule another appointment. I told them they must be too busy if they are unable to make and keep appointments. I could only imagine how my job would get treated if they are that busy. We moved on.

Albeit all of the covid-related pool building challenges, David (owner), Wayne, and Charlene were extremely proactive in addressing and overcoming those challenges and in the overall process.
I addition, all the individual crews that addressed each stage of construction and finishing were extremely competent and effectively completed their portion of the work with a very high quality product; our pool is beautiful and the color is exactly what we envisioned at the outset.
We provided feedback to David on suggested areas of improvement to the overall process, specifically with regards to system commissioning and salesperson response, and this feedback was positively received.

I strongly suggest going with another pool service provider. These people simply DO NOT communicate with you. You have to make MULTIPLE calls to the office, with promises to "call you back" or "get back with you shortly", which NEVER happens. The only way to get them to contact you is to not pay your bill. Otherwise, they get your contract for monthly payments, then have nothing to do with you period. I cancelled my service with them due to this problem, and told them BEFORE I cancelled that I was looking for another service provider due to this. They really didn't seem to care, even after I spent over $8000 with them on my pool. Customer service is NOT their strong point, and they truly do not care about customer retention or maintaining a good business relationship with their customers. This is a very poor business model. Again, I strongly suggest going with another company.

We used Preferred Pools to build our pool this summer and it is awesome! Breaking ground to swimming was about 6 weeks, which was on the shorter end of the time estimate and is actually quite quick from what I've heard from others. We have an area that's essentially a sundeck with 6" of water and water bubblers, waterfall features, fire bowls, the works. The process was easy and based on the bids we received from other companies, we found Preferred to be the most inclusive and forth-right in the bid process. We had other companies try to tell us that no one else could match their warranties and try to use scare tactics to get us to sign. Our Sales rep was very clear with what they were presenting and offered the same warranties with no scare tactics. The process was easy, the pool looks amazing, and the price was competitive with the other bids we received. I highly recommend them!

Preferred Pools of Houston executed a first class product at our home in the Clear Lake area. We will be enjoying our pool and hot tub with friends and family for years to come. Our pool was a very difficult build with gas line relocation, sewer line relocation, the freeze of 2021, and COVID. Regardless of all of these difficulties Preferred Pools saw our project through to the end. Your patience will be required, but I’d refer this group to anyone considering a pool.

They built my pool a few years ago. I called them a week ago to get an issue with the pool serviced (out of warranty), and they said they could come within a week and would call me to schedule it. They never called back. One week later I call them back, and they told me they don't do service in my area past the warranty period. Please be sure to keep this in mind if you are considering having them build your pool, and make sure you get something in writing about whether they service your area (including post-warranty)!

Building a pool can be super frustrating & super expensive!! It was a pleasure working with Jim. He completely took the financial worries away! His prices are super fair. Be patient & allow his Preferred team to exceed ALL the other competition. I shopped around with everyone, from jacks of all trades to over 6 other pool companies & based on price, value & quality, I decided on Preferred Pools. Jim worked with a goal of getting me everything I wanted as close to my price range as possible. My house went into builder remediation, so there was an 8 month delay before I could start. Everyone I could think of (including the yard man!) asked me to let their company give me a quote, even though I had already decided I was going with Preferred. I let them. It’s a competitive industry & nothing matched what Preferred was giving. In the end I love my pool & appreciate everything Jim did to make sure I got everything I was dreaming of & more. Even more importantly, I am super confident that my pool is built to last. In addition to working with Jim, his pool supervisor Wayne was a blessing, he provided so much assurance during the building process, because believe me, it can get frustrating if you are super picky like me. The last person I met taught me absolutely EVERYTHING I need to know about a pool, even though, I’ve never owned a pool before. Terry was awesome with pool school & taught me everything. I will be maintaining my pool myself.
