This is our first pool, we shopped around and And in our search we found Preferred Pools down in Kemah Texas. Jim Druery came out and sketched a drawing with measurements of the area where we wanted the pool. A few days later he presented his design and it was great. We did a couple of minor tweaks and we came to an agreement on the design and price. It took about 8 weeks to complete from the time they dug until we started filling the pool. We had some weather issues which caused a few delays, no fault with the Preferred Pool company. Jim, David and Wayne were all very professional and easy to talk with. We had a couple of glitches with the pool equipment that was corrected immediately. I dealt with their Forman Chris most of the time during the construction and he was also very professional as well. Thank you all for everything. You are a great pool company.

David w/Preferred Pools was hands down the easiest to work with. They listened to the ideas we had, helped formed them into a reality that we enjoy daily. Their warranty is 2nd to none and if I had to do it all over again, I'd hire them again. Thanks for turning our boring backyard into our paradise..

We had a great experience with Preferred. Jim and Wayne turned our backyard into exactly what we wanted. The service after the fact is also great. I will recommend them to anyone looking for a pool and won’t hesitate to call them if I ever build another pool. You can’t go wrong by picking them.

I cannot say enough good things about Preferred Pools of Houston, Inc. From start to finish the entire Team was amazing and exceeded all my expectations! Jim and Wayne and their entire team we're amazing! The design, details, and delivery we're perfection! I obtained 3 quotes from different highly rated companies and what stood out for me was the transparency and the details. I learned so much from my interactions with Jim and that really helped me make great long term decisions. He improved my vision, anticipationed our needs and I am so happy with the design. I felt comfortable, guided, and respected throughout the entire process. I knew he was really looking out for me, my investment, and my equipment in the long run. I can't wait to finish pool school and get the landscaping done so I can show off our amazing backyard retreat!!! The kids are LIVING in our pool and with this Texas Summer heat it has been absolutely amazing to come home to each day. My only regret is no doing it sooner!!! I would highly reccomend them.

We've got a 20-year old pool that's been replastered once. We've used several weekly maintenance companies over the years but started using Preferred about 3-months ago. We've had a few mechanical issues that goes with having a 20-year old setup. Preferred has been exceedingly responsive every time we've had an issue and they've worked hard to troubleshoot, resolve, repair, etc. Really can't say enough good things about their professionalism and responsiveness. And they're always on time, the same day of the week, etc., for the weekly service. Having run the gambit of good to great with service companies, Preferred has been the best we've had and look forward to using them for a long time!

I have been using this company for a little while now after having some pretty bad experiences with two other pool service companies. I am VERY pleased. My tech (Chris P.) has done an amazing job and he is very meticulous and is always sure to note anything needed and get things taken care of. I can't say enough about how happy I am with how my pool is cared for and the fact that I don't have to worry about or keep up with anything!

Absolutely love Preferred Pools of Houston and their staff! They always go the extra mile and sometimes above and beyond to help me out when needed. Anna and the rest of the staff are always very pleasant, friendly and willing to help. I've used them for the past two years and have always had great service. This is the first pool service I have ever dealt with and it will be the only one I will ever deal with.

We are first time pool owners and Preferred Pools in Kemah did an awesome job on our Pool. It turned out beautiful! Jim Drury's design was perfect, Dave, Wayne and Chris all did a fantastic job and answered all of our questions and concerns. They returned all of our messages even during their off hours. We would be happy to recommend them to anyone. This is a great company!

We had Preferred Pools reline our pool and redo the decking around it. They did a FANTASTIC job. All throughout they were professional and kept us up to date on where they were at in the process and anything we needed to be aware of. They did such a good job that we now also use them for our weekly pool service! We will certainly be using them again if we need any other pool work done in the future.

Preferred Pools has outstanding service. This was our first pool. They answered all our questions promptly, returned calls same day, provided design recommendations and educated us during the process. We worked a lot with Wayne who was very helpful. No issues and it was built exactly when they said. Would definitely recommend them.

They broke ground on July 7th, 2022 and we were swimming by August 19th, 2022. We were amazed by the entire process. Every person we encountered was absolutely amazing!

Charlene worked with our bank, seamlessly. Jennifer made me feel like we could be actual friends. Wayne has been a super hero! Every team of builders were professional, perfectionists, and joyful. The whole process couldn't have been more smooth.

I have photos of the entire process, but I'm just sharing the finished product. We are blown away.

Best decision we made!
Love our Preferred Pools experience.
As with any project, there were small hiccups, but were quickly resolved!
From dig time to swim time was less than 40 days! And that included several storms too.
I would highly recommend Preferred Pools of Houston.

Jim Drury and his team created a backyard paradise for us! They quite literally rescued us as we had started the process with a different builder who delayed for months then sneakily increased the price by $30k well after our contract was signed.
Thank God we found Jim. He took over, came up with a perfect design, and worked within our budget. Our pool is waterfront, but Preferred was very experienced with this. They handled the permitting and engineering. Through the use of piers and working around our bulkhead, they were able to put in our dream pool safely and efficiently.
Despite a very rainy season we still remained on schedule and it was completed in a very reasonable time period. And it was everything we hoped it would be!
To emphasize how special it was working with Jim and Preferred Pools, I attached the last picture. We were traveling for my wife's birthday shortly after the pool was completed and Jim knew where we were going. He researched where we were staying, contacted the hotel, and had bubbles and a beautiful card sent to us. It completely made our day!
Apparently this is not a normal pool building experience according to friends who have worked with other builders. I'm not sure what to say except they must not have worked with Jim Drury. I'm grateful each time I walk in the backyard that we did!

We absolutely love our pool! Preferred Pools has the building process down to a science. They were fast, professional, and precise. Our pool cover technician was just out doing routine maintenance on our cover and mentioned how flawless our glass tile is. He sees a lot of pools and mentioned our tile work is some of the best he has seen. Not only was the building process a breeze, but the maintenance crew has also been awesome. We’ve had our pool over a year now and have had to call the office for help with our filter. Our sandy dogs like to swim in the pool which clogs the filters a bit faster. The maintenance crew came right out to help us with that. We can’t say enough great things about Preferred Pools 🙌🏼

Excellent quality and exceptional customer service. We got 4 quotes from 4 different companies and decided to go with Preferred pools. Jennifer was extremely accommodating and came out on a Saturday morning early for measurements and to discuss what we wanted. The same week we were picking out tiles, decking etc. Our pool front start to finish was 4.5 weeks. The job foreman was constantly in contact with my husband through every stage of the process. He also taught my husband about the chemicals we would need, the cleaning frequency and literally has been available to us for any questions. They gave us what we wanted at an extremely reasonable price. No aggressive over selling. We’re in our first home but will be using them for our pools in the future. We couldn’t be happier!!!

James is our technician and he’s amazing! Always so kind and considerate. Our pool was in really bad shape after our pump died and he’s gotten our pool back in great shape! Thank you, James for everything you do!

I would like to thank all the staff at Preferred Poos . Our pool installation was so quick and easy. I feel the most important part of the installation was done on a precise schedule.
