They come out at anytime, fast, reliable, friendly. I've used them for years. Eli tries to save you money and won't rip you off. Call and compare prices, he's very reasonable.

I am very pleased with the equipment and services that we received from A&E Mechanical. Their offer was competitive, and included value added products that have improved our home AC performance. Eli, the sales/engineer on the job, was knowledgeable, experienced and a pleasure to work with.

The most ridiculous company I've ever dealt with. They don't show up when they say. T hey call you back several times trying to change appt times. Unprofessional employees that really don't know what they are doing. And Eli is the dang ring leader. If he returns your call, he has the same excuses. Now if there is a problem with him or his workers or the job, he just won't return your call. I, the homeowner, had to finish the work they did. A- because they do substandard work, and B- because it's a substandard company. Our brand new double unit system stopped working a month after they would come back out to finish the job. Now I'm having to threaten suit. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. MOST REVIEWS ON THEIR SITE ARE MADE UP AND FAMILY MEMBERS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

I am rewriting a previous review. I changed my mind about A and E mechanical because they came and tried several times to fix an issue and finally it pinpointed back to an issue another company created when they repaired my heater. Thank you Irma and Eli for your patience and dedication to ensure I got my issue resolved.

Excellent service! Eli came to our home in less than 30 min after I called and had it fixed quick. Prices were very reasonable as well. We will be using them again!

This so call business started off really responsive in the beginning. Came out to allegedly fix my issue but the job was not fixed after paying a outrage amount pf money, and other issues started happening afterwards. Called them back out for the worker to find another issues he apparently missed the first time and said he fixed the problem. It's been a weeks dealing with this company who can no longer to find anyone to come out and do the job I called them to INITIALLY do but they want more money to see what the problem is along with not doing the job they never fixed in the first place. You call them out on their unorganized so call business and then stop answering your phone calls. Don't waste your time or money on this company because they will scam you!

My air conditioner compressor was not coming on, and this happened the same day that Hurricane Laura was expected to hit the Texas and Louisiana Coast. I sent a text message making them aware of my situation. I really did not expect to receive any help until the next day, but to my surprise, they responded back and Eli came out around 9pm to resolve my issue. That is what I call GREAT Service!!! Thanks A&E Mechanical!

They cancelled on me numerous times, they left tools at my house and took 2 months to get them even though they kept calling me asking me when they could come by. They inconvenienced me, my wife and mother in law. I signed a service agreement for a year and included was two free unit checkups but the day they were supposed to do the second one they said the agreement had expired. It had not but they said they couldn’t find the paperwork so they would have to wait another week to come do the tuneup. They said they wanted to do work on our attic to make the upstairs cooler but they never called back to set up appointments or send anyone out to do work. They were all talk.

Our old a.c. unit just wasn't getting the job done. We called Eli at A&E Mechanical, he came out the same day, checked out the job. We decided to have a new unit put in at a fair price. His guys came out the next morning and by noon we had a brand new very quiet unit installed and cooling down the house. Also his man came out the next day and repaired an ugly water spot the old unit had made. Overall a very good experience.Thanks!

Be sure to get a firm quote from them because despite having two different people ensuring me that the price they stated was firm, my technician, Brad, still charged twice as much as I was quoted. After I requested to speak to his supervisor, Eli, his supervisor suggested him to tell me to add on additional services, even though my technician told me it wasn’t necessary not even 10 min prior and that my water heater was in “great condition with nothing out of order”. After negotiating back and forth, we finally compromised on a price higher than my original quote. Fast forward 9 hours later, my fiancé comes home to find our backyard FLOODED with boiling hot water. I immediately contacted them to see if they could come remedy their mistake. They refused to take any ownership and blamed the fact that “it could’ve just been a bad part”, despite Brad coming out to do a full service check to make sure everything was properly working. Brad told us that night that he would come back the next day at 5pm and would not charge us a service fee and if we provided our own part, it would be at no cost to us. The next day, their secretary, Irma, called to give us another quote that was 4x as much as he stated and said he should have never promised that because Eli would never agree to such terms. At the end of the day, A&E just wants to make money off of you and will not take any ownership of their mistakes.

It's sad to say that you wouldn't think that they still have any more companies that are honest and with integrity as I experienced with A & E Mechanical. I was very desparate to find someone to check my home air conditioner since it was not cooling. We are talking about Houston weather in the month of May. Home Advisor website had high and good reviews about A & E. I submitted my request for service and recieved a call back in less than 5 minutes, I was impressed. Ely was able to come out the same day and give me a diagnosis and my options. A company that I initially called a week prior gave me a total different diagnosis and replaced a part which was said to be the issue. But the next day later I had the same issue. Ely didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need and he was very professional and you could tell that he was passionate about his work. I finally made a decision to replace my a/c unit along with the evaporator coil. These guys took a little over 3 hours to replace both units. Everyone that I came in contact with were so pleasant and professional. Thanks A & E for the first class service and may GOD bless your company with great success....

Mark was great. Ask for Mark. I just had them come out and check my ac system to make sure it was running as it should. Mark was professional, answered all my questions and explained more in one hour than 2 other a/c companies ever have. As a side note, they called me to postpone my schedule date....because they had customers out of a/c completely. This tells me they aren't just filling invoices. They care about their customers. 10/10 would recommend. Ask for Mark.

I had a call back in 20 minutes and he showed up to diagnose my issue with kindness and was honest about everything. No ounce of greediness which I fully expected because of the world we live in today. He was straight forward and I would highly recommend because I came home at 630 to a non working ac unit and when he was here within 30 minutes and it was fixed. My family can sleep in the ac tonight instead of getting a hotel room and I'm forever grateful. Again I highly recommend

(Revised Review) A & E Mechanical rescued my "hot" upstairs from a broken air conditioning unit at my home on July 4, 2016. Mr. Eli (from A&E Mechanical) contacted me and, much to my surprise, was able to fit me into his schedule for repairs later in the evening. The rates are a bit expensive and now knowing the base price of a capacitor (which turned out to be the only problem) was a bit of a price gouge. He didn't try to scam with hidden fees, but didn't give an accurate quote before beginning the work. After he finished the work, then that's where you find the expensive cost to do business with A&E services. Also, he did try to sell me a "recommended" service plan. I contacted the company again (hoping for a return customer discount, silly me) for another problem concerning one of my other HVAC units and this other service technician was clueless and didn't do squat. He squirted water to see if a leak was present on my A/C coil in the attic, then proceeded to "allegedly" put an additional freon charge into the unit which still didn't fix the problem. Oh, but he didn't hesitate to charge exorbitant fees for doing nothing to resolve the issue. I had to call another "real" A/C guy who didn't go crazy about fees and was able to get the work done in a timely and professional manner. While they were readily available on July 4, 2016. I don't recommend A & E Mechanical for any air conditioning repairs. They are too expensive, try to upsell and make outrageous repair recommendations.

I've been trying to reach out for two weeks no answer, tech came out to my home and we we're told he would write up an estimate to have repairs done and nothing. I've reached out again today and the gentleman who answered seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone with me, I was told he would find out what was going on and call back, let's see what happens...I doubt they will call back. First and last time to do business with such unprofessional people.

I'm not sure why there is a few bad reviews. Eli and Irma (along with the rest of the crew) have been more helpful and friendly than most. I have used this company for a year now and never have had an issue. They have done many repairs and will do many repairs because I refuse to go anywhere else. Irma is professional but caring and Eli will do everything he can to find the problem. It doesnt feel like you are just a customer number waiting for service but a friend that needs to help. I have and will always recommend this company. If you're looking for a company that can help with many things, my husband and I highly recommend this company. Feels like friends not just another customer!

Eli was very prompt and professional. He and his team worked with my schedule and were able to determine the cause of my AC issue and have it resolved within days of my service call. I am very thankful I found them before I used a bigger company who would have charged me double what A&E Mechanical did. They went above and beyond what I ever would expected and still are. I have received several phone calls from Eli concerning the status of his work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a dependable, hard working, honest company.

We inquired online about replacing our HVAC system and had shopped around until we found A&E. The owner came to our house on a Sunday and gave us an amazing quote and told us exactly how everything would go and no beating around the bush like some of the other companies did. He took his time and made sure we completely understood how everything would work etc. The guys rolled up two days later and installed our new system. They guys were very professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves. I have zero complaints and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great company to service any of your needs. They have a super sweet lady that calls to set everything up and follows up with you to make sure you are satisfied She also called me the morning of to let me know they guys would be showing up any minute. I cannot say enough good things about how great A&E Mechanical was to us. Thanks y'all!

I don’t even know where to start. This has been the most problematic unit I’ve ever seen. I’ve had a twenty year old unit that worked better than what they sold us. Every time they come out it’s a different solution to the same problem. They are the only company to ever touch this unit as well. It’s almost to the point I want to have a different company come install a different unit. You pay for the service contract and what do you know, something’s not covered when they come look at it again. Maybe we got a lemon, but at some point I’d hope they would feel the same and agree. In four years time they have probably worked on this thing more times than I would like to remember. I’ve spent so much on this new unit, fixing it every time it breaks down, its not even funny.

The VERY WORST OWNER. I authorized in advance for a leak to be repaired and it didn't last a month. I waited a month for a response from the owner ELY GARCIA after a tech came back out and said the leak was in a different place could not be fixed. I asked for a refund just for the leak repair and not the service charge or freon. He told me no and only offered excuses. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Home AC repaired in less than two hours from the time I called!!
This company is great!! I called and Eli answered right away. I told him I had no AC in my house. He got back to me as promised in about 5 minutes. Then about 20 minutes later Elizabeth shows up at my door tools in hand. She checked the unit outside and the unit in the attic. She said everything looks good upstairs but you are going to need a part for the compressor unit. She was gone for about 30 minutes getting the part. Then installed it in about 10 minutes and fired the unit back up. Cold air started blowing right away!! I barely broke a sweat before my house was back to an ideal temp. I feel sorry for anyone needing AC work that lives outside of A&E Mechanical's service area. I highly recommend A&E. Great People! Great Service! Great prices and super fast!!
