They said they fixed my heater but it still didn’t work then they said they couldn’t get to me for another day and it’s gets down below 30 degrees at night wouldn’t recommend

He came quickly and fixed the problem same day within an hour. He made our problem a priority, knowing it was a safety issue. It also came out under his estimate.

Planks is the best service for heating and air. Charles Jr. is the nicest and most professional guy - and truly an expert. He will actually properly diagnose and fix whatever is wrong with your unit/system and get it running again. They are always efficient and honest. We cannot give enough praise. Planks is simply THE best.

My AC started blowing hot air because of a fluid line restriction. I called a well-known company to come and fix it. The first technician that they sent, overcharged it by extra coolant and made my compressor super-heated and kicked it off ☹. They sent me the next couple of guys and they said you need to change compressor ($1800) or whole unit (over $4000). Then I called "Planks Air Conditioning", and Charles did a professional diagnosis, he found the restriction and fixed it for an unbelievable low charge.
P.S. Charles came to my house to give me a quote for a new AC unit, but he forgot his business and started to fix mine and saved me thousands of dollars.
So, if you need a service company for your AC repairment just look for the right person.

Mr. Planks is the man! Quality service for a fraction of those large HVAC companies. And, he'll try to fix your units instead of immediately trying to up sell you a whole new unit. I used Mr. Plans' services at my own home and for my HUD jobs at the city of Lubbock.

Very honest! I had another Heating and Air conditioning company come out and tell me i needed to re-charge my system and the price for the coolant would be $100 per pound. Planks said they charge $50 per pound to recharge my system. They came out and checked the system and said it had plenty of coolant and it just needed to be cleaned. What a savings. I know who will be servicing my A/C from now on.

He arrived with a clear focus on his job, but still courteously responded to any inquiries I had about the operations. This is excellent, as I've often had technicians from Lubbock Speedy Commercial HVAC Installers Corp. visit the building, who would engage in unrelated discussions. Kristopher maintained a high level of professionalism.

our hvac system was first installed by these professionals roughly nine years ago. when we decided to expand with a small addition to our home, they seamlessly integrated additional duct work. not only that, but timothy and asher did an excellent job ensuring our existing system was functioning optimally. they even performed a thorough cleaning of the system. i would definitely recommend their services to anyone in lubbock. they did a fantastic job, and i'm very pleased with their work.

Very fast service. Called at 8am and technician Cory arrived shortly after 10am.
He was very professional and checked every aspect of my A/C and found a couple of defective parts and replaced them. In general He completely serviced my unit. Parts seemed a little pricey. A capacitor ran over $300. Their web site states that they give a free in home estimate but they tell you up front of a $130 diagnostic fee. I know they have to charge something for a tech to come out. They offer some maintenance plans that should save money in the long run. I just could not afford it at this time. I will call them in the future if needed.
FOLLOW UP. Since posting my review I checked on prices for capacitors and they run $240 to $400 and he also replaced a leaking schrader valve. Research said expect to pay between $100 to $400 for a professionally replaced Schrader valve.
From what I found out, I suppose the charges were inline with Industrial pricing.

Very happy with our service from OTDHC. To start, they showed up the same day, on a Monday, to assess our AC issue. They did a thorough assessment and gave us a clear explanation. Chris & Benjamin gave us a solid explanation of what needed to be done NOW, as well as things to consider doing in the future for long term performance assurance. There was no pressure, just options given. Our AC issue required them to come back the next day for a few hours to install another air return. Again, they showed up when they said they would, and they finished when they said they would. This included me adding 25min to their job with a last minute requested install of a new thermostat. Chris & Benjamin are good guys who were respectful of our home and our time. We highly recommend OTDHC and will rely on them in the future.

Nate was on time and for a Saturday was able to get to my emergency in a very timely manner. He was professional and fixed my issue before it got too hot in the house. I’m very thankful for this company. I’ll be using them again for sure!

This is my first time to use On the double. It was time for a complete new ac/ heating system. Cody and Chris did an incredible job. Chris is very picky on his work, and he insist that it is done correct the first time. He doesn’t take any shortcuts to make the job easier for his crew. They check and double check every single thing and the end product shows. I am glad I chose this company.
