If your looking for someone that is going to treat you right, provide superior service and knows his product call James. He went out of his normal service area and came up to Huntsville to access the work and get everything we wanted and so much more. I am probably the hardest homeowner to work with and I take my time to ask a million questions, look at pictures, requests details all the things when it come to a large purchase like a totally new system and James took the time to answer everything and then more. He never treated me like I was an inconvenience or a burden.

And even when the thermostat decided to not work (straight from the box) I knew James was going to take care of us. He sat down with us gave us a run down of all the new features of the Units, ducts, filters and thermostat when he was completed.

Lastly price. Could we have paid less somewhere else from a BIG company, probably. But at the end of the day its the small businesses that keep us going. The ability to call James on his personal phone number when I hear a weird noice or I cant figure out where the heck the filter is. Its learning about his dogs, planned vacations and his passion for the business and what he lives for everyday. You do not get from the BIG companies. You get what you pay for when you hire James with 1st Choice

James was recommended to us by our neighbor who recently had new systems installed. We reached out on an a/c unit which was running longer cycles and not cooling enough and that unit was quickly diagnosed as being overcharged, and rectified by balancing the air. James also checked our other systems which had bad capacitors and shorts in wiring and fixed those before the peak summer would take them out of service. His attention to detail, and taking the time to verify that everything was working right proved that he truly understands his work and is very good at it. James replaced the duct work in our home. Had 4 different companies bid the job. Highest bid was 17k . Lowest was 4800.00. James came out and evaluated the system with me and gave me his opinion. Went with James for 5600.00. Best money we’ve ever spent. He is honest and understands how a system is supposed to work. He will not try to sell you something you don’t need. He is very passionate about his trade.

Called this company at 9:40 pm, James answered and then promptly came out to my home and assessed the issue with my AC. He talked with through the process, got my 20+ year old system to hobble along until he came out to put in a new one. Inside and outside were both replaced. Price was fair and the install was on time and on price. 10/10, I will not use anyone else. Best experience and James is a stand up guy. AC actually cools the house enough to shut off during the day, first for me in 15 years of living here. Really happy customer.

We called James, he came out the next day, figured out our complicated install, returned the following day to help us out as it was 105° outside and we needed A/C. He was professional, efficient, and the estimate he gave was the exact price we paid. He worked late into the evening and didn't leave until the job was done. James inspected my AC unit for any leaks and found a large leak in the evaporator coil. My warranty company never received payment for the warranty and didn’t inform me until I needed them. James gave me 5lbs of free Freon to get me through the night In order to get my home warranty worked out. Very knowledgeable and easy going. I highly recommend James at 1st choice air repair for any AC or heater related maintenance or repair.

I recently had my entire HVAC system including ducts replaced by James. We also added zoning for upstairs and downstairs. James was amazing through the whole process, very knowledgeable and easy to discuss options with. Our old unit failed when it was around 100 degrees out and James was able to get us installed the same week, his pricing was very fair and him and his workers did a great job!!!

Excellent fast service. We had an emergency issue over the weekend, he came right away, diagnosed the problem and fixed it.

James was great! We scheduled an appt that worked with my schedule and was within 2 days of my call, (not an emergency call). He asked a lot of questions about my system and what I wanted, and gave a lot of information to keep me updated on what he was doing and what things would cost. I cannot say enough good things about James and 1st Choice Air Repair! He came out quickly when our AC broke this summer and got it all fixed. He took the time to explain the issue and also help us out with some other questions we had about our HVAC system. He’s professional and knowledgeable, but most of all, trustworthy. James did a great job on our unit! He came in and installed a new thermostat and took a look at our AC which has never run quite correctly since we moved in.
