We recently purchased an older home in south Fort Worth and with the fist fire we started, it became very obvious we had a smoke problem. Pete was very professional and prompt for each appointment. He was very patient as we described our problem with smoke and our fears about not being able to use the fireplace, which was one of the key features we loved about the house. Pete showed us the damage, provided us our options. He went over and above once his work was complete, to verify with a smoke test that the smoke issue was resolved. I will continue to use Black Velvet for our annual cleaning going forward. We can't express enough how helpful he was and what a great job he did. High would highly recommend his services.

We have used Black Velvet for over a decade for general maintenance. Last year we had damage from a lightening strike (over $14,000). Black Velvet did the repair work. Due to material delays this required several visits. The work they did was excellent Thanks Pete

I used these guys for the past several years and every other year they said I needed to replace my fireplace insert. I've had two other inspectors look at it and said there was no problem with the fireplace. I also talked to another fireplace vendor and said they have been selling metal inserts for over 40 years and yet to have to replace a fireplace because of use.

They do a good job on cleaning but watch the sales pitch on needing another fireplace.

Great service all around! We had Black Velvet Chimney come to my elderly parents home, in the spring of 2015. For over 30 years, smoke backed up into the den every time we used the fireplace. Black Velvet knew just what to do. The technician installed a new Wood Burning Incert which solved the smoke issue as well as heating the den better than the fireplace ever did! He was prompt, neat and tidy in his work and the cost was very reasonable.
Thanks to Black Velvet Chimney we can finally enjoy using the fireplace!

We were remodeling an old home and I wanted to keep the original fireplace. After going over all of our options with Pete we chose to use the Heatshield Cerfractory Foam instead of tearing everything down and starting over; I could not be more pleased. Pete was amazing and I love my fireplace. We used the fireplace all winter and we had absolutely no issues. Thank you Pete for all your help and for doing such an amazing job!!!

I called to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was very informative and very adamant about being in business for many years and being one of the only ones with certain training and licenses...so I made the appointment. A day before my appointment, I called to cancel due to being called into work for a co-worker who had broke her ankle. I called back 2 days later to reschedule and left a message due to no answer. I did that 3 times and never an answer or a call back. I had to call someone else to come clean my chimney and they did a great job and very kind and professional.

A storm blew my chimney cap cover and pan off of the house and Pete with Black Velvet Chimney came to the rescue. Great service and very professional, and my new chimney cover looks fantastic.

Black Velvet Chimney did a Great job. They removed all of the stone, removed the mantle, old firebox and chimney. They then installed a new box, chimney and mantle all in One Day. Installation of the new stone was done a short time later and was completed in 2 days. They did a Great job.

Pete from BVC installed a Heatilator brand fireplace for us in our new living room. The installation was clean, seamless and professional.

Black Velvet walked me through the benefits and features of several wood stove inserts. I decided to go with the Blaze King. A professional crew showed up on time and did a clean install with a beutiful product. I would do business with them again.

Black velvet chimney did a service call at my old house - cleaned the chimney, made some repairs, and cleaned the dryer vent. They were fast, friendly, and VERY contientious of keeping things tidy. They have a quote for replacing our entire system at our new house. They are very knowledge and helpful.

We were very happy with the quality of their service. We bought a Blaze King fireplace insert and it works fantastic. Our previous Blaze King lasted 40 yrs. The stove along with labor, etc. was very expensive but felt they were very knowledgeable of what our "old deteriorating chimney" needed. We are "hooked" on heat from wood even though we have central heat so it was worth the cost.

We had an old wood stove that finally gave up the ghost. We loved it so and wanted a new one. Our son had just added a wood stove to his home and recommended Black Velvet Chimney to us. We purchased a new wood stove for our den and a new fireplace insert for our living room. The two pretty well heated our 3000-square foot house during the three days That we were without electricity during the Texas super cold and failed electric grid. This company has gone out of its way to take care of our needs and initiated follow-up checks and service. We highly recommend Black Velvet Chimney!!

Was prompt and on time it was honest about all the issues I had with my chimney. He even wore shoe covers and never made a mess I'm very happy with this business.

Both he and his wife are terrific to work with! We were so grateful to have our wood burning stove over the winter storm! It burned for days. Took a little while to understand the mechanics. Once we got it down the stove burns efficiently! 100% percent improvement over our old wood burning stove.
