These guys are just flat out awesome. I almost don't want to write this post to keep it my little secret but that is undoubtedly not fair given the level of service, price and responsiveness the team I've had the pleasure of working with (Laura and Ted specifically) provide. They are friendly, they are local, they are professionals, the kind you don't need to hover over while they work. I will not take my business anywhere else, period.

I had a plumbing issue the day after Christmas. Medlock was quick, professional and very reasonable. I don't write reviews unless the service is EXCEPTIONAL - these guys will get my business in the future.

This company is exactly what’s wrong with American customer service. Medlock installed a tankless water heater in our new-build dream home and only 2 years later, a pipe connected to it leaked into our garage. When I called for service, they told me to call someone else because of an “ugly separation” they’d had with our builder; said they “won’t touch” any houses associated with him. Also, they only guarantee their work for one year. I can see why. If you want to be treated horribly for asking them to fix their own plumbing, Medlock is your plumbing solution.

Medlock did a water heater installation for us at our church last week. They are fantastic to work with Laura responds quickly to email communication and the team that came out to the do the work, led by Ted, were on time, professional, courteous and they did the work in a very timely manner. It was a pleasure working with Medlock and we will call on them again when needed.

Last week, during the extreme freeze, the main line to my house froze and burst. Another plumber came out to look at the job, but for days I couldn't get them, or anyone else, to call me back to schedule a repair. I called Medlock Services, left a message, and they called back on the same day. They scheduled my repair, and actually arrived on time, fixed the pipe, and had my water back on within an hour. Their customer service and workmanship has been great, and I definitely will call them again. Thank you, Medlock Services!

I have used Medlock Services on a number of occasions, due to having an older home. They are always timely, polite, and get the job done without issue. Ted is a pleasure to work with, and a very knowledgeable plumber. Laura is very friendly and communicative. Highly recommended!

During the Great Texas Freeze of 2021 where we lost power and the temperature remained below freezing for a full week I experienced a frozen pipe leak in the ceiling of my garage on a Wednesday. When I attempted to call two other well-known plumbing companies in Dallas I had previously used, they were not even answering their phones.

In desperation I reached out to a realtor friend of mine who suggested I call Medlock Services, a plumber she had previously recommended to many clients who were very happy with the services they had received.

Laura at Medlock, not only answered the phone, but diligently worked with me to get a plumber out on a timely basis to fix my problem(s).

Ted Herrera and his partner, Luke, not only showed up on time, as promised, but were both very professional, friendly and communicative in resolving my issues. They repaired my multiple water line leaks behind my built-in work bench cabinets in my garage and did so with the least amount of damage to the walls in a most timely manner.

They got our water back on, after it had been shut-off for several days, and charged a very fair price for their work.

I will not hesitate to highly recommend Medlock Services for plumbing work to all of my friends and I will only use Medlock and Ted Herrera in the future for all of my plumbing needs.

Medlock made a stressful situation into a positive experience! The downside of owning an older home is when something needs to be upgraded, usually something else is out of code. Nick and his crew at Medlock were quick to set up testing of our lines, identifying that not only were our gas lines out of code and needed to be replaced, but we had a small gas leak we did not even know about. He immediately had a crew at our home ready to get the job done. They were professional, efficient and the cleanest crew we have worked with, leaving our home as they entered it. Pricing was competitive and affordable. We will be referring this company to our friends and setting up service to have them complete other projects we have been wanting to tackle!

We have had Medlock provide plumbing services on three occasions and we have very pleased with the work they did each time. Ted and his team are real professionals doing first class work, answering all questions, and keeping the work site clean. Laura is easy to work with and follows up in a timely manner. We will not hesitate to call them in the future.

Medlock completed plumbing on my remodel. Had issues with bathroom after a few years. Medlock would not return my calls. My GC had to call on my behalf just to get them to acknowledge the work was out of warranty. Had a different plumber come out to show me Medlock cut my pipe and then glued over the cut instead of replacing the cut pipe. See photo. I have the right company. You should have returned my calls.

I called and talked to your office on November 13 see photo. I was told I would receive a return call and it didn’t happen. I called again on November 14, see photo, and left a voicemail. Again no return call. You were the only plumber on site for my remodel. I’m shocked you are disputing you did this work, and yes this sarcasm.

You have accused me of lying because I didn’t have the right Medlock company. Then you accused me of lying because you couldn’t find any information that you worked on my remodel. Then I was lying because I never called your company about my issue. Then I was lying because you said someone else worked on my plumbing and I’m trying to pin their mistake on you. I have never posted a negative review on Google before but I am glad I posted this one. I may be out thousands of dollars but at least people can see how your company operates.

FOLLOW UP 2025:
I have now had an issue with the second of the three bathrooms that were remodeled by Medlock. I added a picture of the toilet removed showing the flange was installed too low causing water damage and mold on the floor and wall according to my new plumber. The new plumber has stated the leaking has also caused my floor to buckle.

Big thanks to Devin at Moore Supply. He helped me track down a hard to find part and really knew his stuff. Super helpful, easy to work with, and made the whole process smooth. Appreciate it!
