I was assigned Act Appliance by my home warranty company. WORST MISTAKE EVER!! The technicians report stated my washing machine works just makes noise. The noise is metal against metal grinding. That's not normal. The very next day my washer displayed the message "A problem has been detected with this unit" and shutdown. I called my warranty company and based on what the ACT Technician sent them, they wouldn't fix my washer.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!!
I called ACT multiple times, sent them an email and they didn't seem to care about the predicament they put me in..
I ended up having to call another company on my own to get it fixed.

We have used ACT Appliances several times with American Home Shield. I do not understand all the negative reviews. Each time they have been absolutely wonderful. It’s important to remember parts take time to order, it’s impossible to have every single part for every appliance available.

If there is a language barrier … use Google Translate. It works wonders.

Our most recent experience with Yeskendir was absolutely fantastic. He had one part on hand, but had to order the other parts. He went above and beyond and was so polite to our whole family (we had extended family in for the holiday).

Give them a try, and remember, not everything is an immediate fix. That’s not their fault.

ACT Appliances came to repair my washing machine on December 17, 2024 through American Home Shield. During the repair, the technician LEFT A PARTS LABEL INSIDE MY WASHING MACHINE DRUM. The debris was lodged deep between the drum and tub casing where it collected moisture and grew mold over two weeks.
When I discovered the contamination on January 8, 2025, I found the moldy label with visible text still on it - clear proof it came from their repair work. The machine developed a horrible chemical smell that filled my laundry room where MY NEWBORN SON lives.
I contacted multiple other repair companies to fix it. ALL OF THEM refused to service the machine specifically because ACT had already worked on it.
When I reported this to ACT Appliances, they showed no urgency to resolve the health hazard their technician created. The machine was contaminated beyond repair and had to be replaced entirely.
Their technician was careless, left foreign debris in my appliance, created a mold hazard with an infant in my home, and the company takes zero responsibility. Absolutely unacceptable.
AVOID ACT APPLIANCES. Their negligence cost me an entire washing machine replacement.

We use ACT through our home warranty. It is key that you put in your make and model in the home warranty system before you call for repairs. This allows for a one stop efficient repair. They dispatched Elvin out to fix my dryer. He was in and out of my house in 15 minutes and my dryer heating element was replaced and I'm back in the mom business! Thanks Elvin and ACT! Extremely pleased.

I’ve been without a refrigerator for OVER a month and a half.. I reported it to my home warranty Dec 3 and they assigned this company. Video diagnosis was on Dec 5. They came Dec 12 for the part and never took it, said they just needed to order the part now. Came back on Dec 16 because now they need the part. Dec 18 they told me 5-7 weeks for repair but then changed their mind to 5-7 business days when I said I would just check into an alternative option. They had me go through the holidays without a fridge. It’s now Jan 14 and I still don’t have a working fridge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! If your home warranty uses this company GET REASSIGNED! I’ll be looking into alternative options and a lawyer because I’ve been more than patient and this is ridiculous.

I had an excellent experience with ACT Appliances in Pflugerville. I had broken parts on both my refrigerator and dishwasher, and I was referred to ACT on a Friday afternoon. They reached out bright and early Monday morning to get me scheduled, which I really appreciated.

I accidentally forgot about the appointment, and their team was friendly, responsive, and flexible in helping me reschedule. When the technician arrived, Elvin was professional, very kind, and extremely knowledgeable. He ordered the parts, and they arrived within two days—wow! Once everything came in, Elvin completed the repairs quickly and had everything running again in no time.

I’ve used ACT in the past and will continue to request them. Highly recommend!

They were booked through american home shield twice. I cant remember the first gentleman‘s name because that was about a year ago, but most recently it was Roman: Roman fixed my dishwasher and it is working just fine to date. The previous technician fixed my refrigerator and it also is working perfectly to date. No complaints regarding scheduling, transparency, or attention to detail. They have been a huge help being that we are quite reliant on our appliances in this coddled existence.
