So glad to have recycle collection and tree trimming collection! The trash collectors vary in quality of work, but a same-day call to the office always solves any problem!

It is a constant battle to get the drivers to empty our recycling cans. We requested two cans so we would have room for all the recyclables. However, more and more, it seems that the drivers either do not empty the cans or simply empty just one.

All the negative reviews prompted me to appreciate the drivers servicing the Kingsbury dr for the last 23 years for the garbage and recycle pick without missing a day and leaving the cans in its place. If the supervisors are reviewing this please share this so they know their haed work is aprreciated.

Excellent service and programs from this department. We have lived in Plano since 1992 and the service seems to get better all the time. Best improvement was to go to the roll-out recycle containers just like the trash/garbage. Recycled materials is the largest part of our household garbage. They also have a free service to pickup hazardous household chemicals; just call to make an appointment. Bulk trash pickup is done monthly; check the website for the schedule for your neighborhood. Or you can take trash yourself to the Custer Rd transfer station. Check the website how to get in to dump your stuff. And they have information where and how to dispose of electronic equipment (TVs, cables, etc) for recycle on the city website.

After 23 years of perfectly acceptable service, the waste service driver on our route has changed and the new kid can't seem to do his job of picking up the garbage each week unless he can do the least amount of work possible. I've spoken with a supervisor and we both agreed on the can location. Disregarding my argument that neighbors also have cans located less than perfect or close to a fence but appear to still receive service. The driver has failed multiple weeks to execute his duties in an acceptable manner. Complaints to the city are not satisfactorily resolved.

They left my can tipped over two weeks in a row so I called in, ever since then they keep moving my can to the middle of my drive way so I have to get out every single time. I've reached out multiple times for supervisors that just don't return any calls.

I've correctly measured and moved my cans to the specifications on the cities website, still I am being bullied by the city.

Would it be possible for them to be consistent with their trash pickup services? Gees, one week I'm doing everything right, the next I'm not. "On this week you had a driver who went above and beyond to pick up the yard trimmings." What about my above and beyond for stacking everything the way it should be? Or the fact that I've done everything as indicated on the notice? Ugh. It's so frustrating.
Oh, and it would be nice to have someone on the customer service line talk to me with just a tad more respect. The lady was so condescending and short with me. Lady, it's not rocket science. I followed what was said on the notice and yet you kept pressing a different issue all together. She wasn't listening to me, just hearing someone on the line.

Called about storm debris pickup. We're west of Independence. At this rate they will get to my debris by Christmas.

I don't recycle because driver insisted I put my bin in middle of my driveway.

It's business as usual in plano.

The Plano Waste Service is the best waste service I've dealt with. Great website and great communication. This is the best service I've had in the last 40 years of living in large metropolitan areas. When we had an ice storm they picked up as soon as possible and returned a couple of days later for my regular scheduled pick up. Great communication about picking up paint and larger items.

For the 4th time in a year they did not pick my garbage. I have never has such poor service as I have gotten since moving to Plano.

Just moved to Plano and I have not had this much trouble with waste management services ever. They pick up only what they want. My girlfriend and I are freaks about recycling and do our best to recycle anything that is plastic or cardboard or has the little recycling sign on it. Well now I feel like I’m being forced to throw all this plastic and cardboard stuff in the trash because the City Refuses to pick it up.
