Avoid - I cannot stress this enough. Complete waste of time and money and has caused me more work. The first two treatments of weed control and fertilizer were both put down less than two hours before days of heavy rain. Predictably, the surfactant hadn't dried and all the treatment and fertilizer ran off. Support said "it just needed a good watering in". Funny.

The third time, yesterday, they marked service as complete without doing anything. It was marked complete one minute after arriving. No flags in the yard, no note on the door, nothing on the cameras. They said they spread 14lbs of granular fertilizer. If they had (which would have been over applied because they still are charging me 300sqft extra because my patio isn't on the Google satellite photo, which I've also complained about), it would be in the yard. It's granule. I have sincerely looked. I can't find a trace of granule in the bare spots, run off areas, or against concrete where it would accumulate. I know the fertilizer they spread. If you're gonna lie, at least say it was liquid.

I've cancelled service and asked for a refund, but honestly at this point it's more work for than if I had just done it myself in the first place as I have the last three years. I wanted to save some work, but my yard has never looked worse.

Attached are pictures of my yard after treatment yesterday. I can't spot the fertilizer in any of them, but maybe it's just hiding beneath all the weeds that have popped up on their watch.

Paid them over $700 for a year's service. I told them twice when we set up service the backyard is off limit. They came out 9/11/23 right after it rained to perform aeration. Unfortunately I was not home. They drove their equipment from the street onto my neighbor's yard tearing up half their lawn, my lawn, leaving tracks everywhere. They missed half the yard. Mud all over the sidewalk. Then they went into our back yard, ran into my grill, over a hose and cord tracking mud all over our pool deck. I wish I was making this up. The level of response has been poor as well as I am on day 3 with no resolution. If I wanted my yard tore up, I would have rented my own equipment, waited for it to rain, and paid a 5-year-old to run the equipment. I would have gotten the same result.

Lewis is a great guy! I hope he continues to come. My only problem with your company is the amount of notification time before a treatment. Since I want to be home at the time, I would like 48 to 72 hour notice before each treatment.

William Joy is so throw in covering all the trees and shrub on my property, which are a lot. He always answers any questions I have and is secure enough to even give his number as well. An excellent person to have as an employee.

Received great service today as always. Got the mosquito and pest defense. The technician Travis was super friendly and did a great job! I've been using TruGreen for many years. They
truly have the best customer service! During my last service the technician didn't do my back yard. I let them know on their feed back form and had 2 customer service reps reach out to me. They came out and completed the service within days. My yard is beautiful because of TruGreen.

I have been a TruGreen customer for years. I was with them in North Carolina before moving to Dallas. The TruGreen Plano Team is great! I have had the pleasure to work with Josh Regalado and he is the best. Josh is very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Josh and his team have been an integral part of helping me grow the yard I wanted. Josh, I appreciate everything you do for us. Thank you for your help!

The longer I am with TruGreen , the worse my yard gets. I have been with them 10 years and called to ask why my lawn was not meeting expectations. They apologized and said they would send someone to meet with me... The guy never showed up. This company is just about the numbers ... their work product shows.

The experts were helpful, but the management of the company and customers service were very disappointing. Now they using bots, that making the customer service worse. They sent me bill with service date, but on the day no one came to my place to do any service, I asked the customer service, firstly they said the expert found wrong address, so I refused to pay the bill. Then they kept sending bills by post to me and the reason is their system telling there was a bill. Then I wanted to over all the chaos, but found out cannot pay the bill online, chat function could not help at all. I had to call them again to pay the wrong bill to over the interaction with them. Very disappointing service. Not recommended.

Results meet expectations with little or no contact with the specialist. I have one of the best lawns on my street.

I just want to warn others about the terrible sales experience I just had with Akila. We were not told in advance that he would be coming to our home to discuss pricing options. After verbally listing prices I asked him four times to email or print out the quote since my wife was not available to review and compare with the prior research she had done. Akila refused to send the quote and insisted I had to provide my credit card to initiate the first treatment in order and only then did I get a text message providing the details.

We called Akila to cancel and he said he couldn’t cancel it even though he just told me the treatment could be cancelled in 3-5 days. We called customer service and at first they said they couldn’t cancel. After reminding them that Texas law requires they allow for cancellation they proceeded. We’re still waiting on the cancellation confirmation email.

Edit: bumped from 1 to 2 stars since I want to acknowledge that Akila did know his stuff about weeds and shrub issues.

My service technician Brandon is hands down the best for my lawn care needs. He definitely takes pride in his work when it comes to taking care of our lawn because it absolutely does show. I have been with True Green for 3 seasons now and very happy with our services and treatments. I would highly recommend True Green for your lawn care needs. Ask for Brandon to take care of you and tell them Ron sent you.

I’ve been using TruGreen for over 10 years and I’m very satisfied. The products they use are phenomenal and my lawn always looks healthy. You’ll probably spend as much money trying to do it yourself so why not let them do it for you.
I totally recommend them. I try to tell my neighbors about TrueGreen and sometimes they don’t listen, but it shows on my lawn. Technician Mr Miranda has become a good freind, Exceptional Service! I have the best lawn in the neighborhood!

I love them!!!! I’ve been with True Green for years and they are well worth the money. Moving it to a new home I’m starting With Lawn that needs some real attention. I’m so happy to say that I know True Green will make my lawn beautiful. Many thanks to Joshua, who came out and was wonderful at hearing my concerns and really went the extra mile to make sure I was content with the services being provided. (New build -2024)

*Update:

5/16/23: Benjamin the service manger with Tru Green contacted me back after I filed a complaint. He surveyed the lawn and apologized. He was able to provide me one free weed removal service and a refund for at least 4 months of service. Although we will be switching lawn care companies, I am very grateful to the customer service and assistance Benjamin provided.

True Green destroyed our lawn. What was once thick beautiful green grass is now all gone. Please see pictures of before and after using Tru Green. We started using Tru Green Aug 2022 when we first moved into our house. We went with Tru Green after a family member recommended them and after reading their positive reviews. I’m really disappointed and shocked at the outcome. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

The lawncare is great. However, we recently sold our house and moved to a rental where we couldn't continue the service. When I called to cancel, they aggressively tried to get me to postpone and asked repeatedly that I get the contact information for the buyer so they could continue the service for the new resident. After multiple refusals, I asked to speak with their supervisor. The agent refused and said they would cancel my account finally. I hung up and called back. The next agent wouldn't take my feedback, wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor, and canceled my account.

I don’t think you really want my review! I have had Trugreen Lawn Service for over a year. My lawn actually looks worse now than it did a year ago! I can’t complain about the service. They come out on schedule and they put down whatever chemicals they are using to treat the lawn! All I can say is none of that has helped in my lawn. Looks worse now than it did a year ago.

Terrible customer service. Representative never answers communication after signing up, never answer phone calls, text messages, nothing.
I signed up for the pest control, not a single visit happened yet.
The lawncare I signed up for, the yard is getting worse and worse ever since I started Tru Green service.
Whenever I call the customer service, they just say "we will send someone out there sometime next week, you will get a call"
Then I randomly see a truck pulling up and knocking on my door while I'm away, without phone call.
DO NOT USE TRU GREEN.

Our Technician Kendric C. treats my current larger lawn with care and precision. He identifies the lawn trouble spots and applies the necessary treatment application. I have been using TruGreen 15yrs living at two different residents and they always stand behind their promise.

Great service. Very responsive, friendly and they did what requested.

From the time we called them until they were done cutting down 2 trees was literally just a few hours. They were quick professional and very fair on the price. Will definitely use again
