I've been using TruGreen several years and am always pleased with all their services. They are timely efficient and thorough. My lawn looks great, and they never hesitate to come back for any reason if I need them.

TruGreen sent John to complete my lawn service. The previous service by another worker had been incomplete, so TruGreen worked diligently to resolve the issue. Before arriving, John called to let me know when to expect him and clarified my expectations. He was friendly and very professional, ensuring that I was completely satisfied with their services. I can honestly say that I am very happy with the service I have received so far. Thanks, John!

The technician (Lorenzo ) that come to my house, to treat my yard is very professional . He explained what he put on my yard and when to put water on it.

Have used them for years. I am quite particular about my lawn and they make it look fantastic!!

TruGreen might make a hiring mistake now and then. But the nice hard-working young man, Joe, who has visited my property twice, does a VERY nice job of bringing comfort to his customers.

I am very happy and impressed with the work that was done today. It’s always nice to know you don’t have to worry about poor performance and what you see is quality work being done.
I am looking forward in Bobby and friend returning to help getting my yard ready for the summer season.
I recommend this little company to anyone who wants great service and a has willingness to please their customers.
Thank you again

Our Service man was considerate of the early hour and worked quietly and efficiently.

We are pleased with Truegreen. They stay on schedule and on time. Our yard looks great and the mosquito service works well for us. I have always been pleased with customer service on the few occasions I have contacted them. This is a nationwide company but it feels local anytime I deal with them.

Can't say enough bad things about TruGreen. Rescheduled or missed every appointment, had to call support after every service, final straw: They canceled today, saying they couldn't complete the service due to weather... It's one of the nicest days ever in Texas! Also recommend you check other sources for real reviews.

Tru Green Mosquito service has worked better than their competitors. The staff is knowledgeable and thorough and the guarantee to return without cost is comforting. They have kept them at bay.

After true green fertilized my yard and did other services about a week or so ago, it turned yellow
Update: TruGreen contacted me and trying to resolve situation. Customer service is being very nice, I’m hoping yard can start looking great again. -
Been a customer for several years. Regarding pest prevention (bugs and crawlies are a challenge out here in the country), I recommend you have TruGreen on your side! I’ve never been disappointed in them, and every time I’ve needed additional touch-up service they have responded immediately!
As for lawn care, we have the greenest lawn on the street. Regular seasonal treatments continue to make the grass thicker and healthier each season. Plus, clear instructions for customer follow up.
Getting ready for our first red-ant apocalypse treatment!
Highly recommend! -
Matt is always knowledgeable and answers all of my questions. We had an army worm infestation and he treated it on our scheduled visit. We have had a great yard with him as the technician.

Unfulfilled promises, shoddy work, halfhearted make goods. Weeds and crabgrass have fared better than Bermuda.
UPDATE: 15 months in and my Bermuda has been fried while crabgrass thrives. More empty promises, horrible communication and terrible results. I should’ve done it myself…if I had time. -
Great service to my lawn, it looks much healthier even after just one application of fertilizer. Very friendly customer service. I forgot to unlock my gate and they helped me reschedule within the same week for a free service to treat my back lawn, so that it would be on the same weekly schedule as my front lawn.

A true green representative named Jean came over this morning, performed a service re-seeding . The job very professional and well done. I would suggest this company Trugreen to be aHousehold name. Great job, awesome people.

TruGreen field supervisor came to appraise our lawn that is continually declining and have been with TruGreen for several years. It’s getting worse not better with their service. He said the soil ph is too high so treat the bare spots with peat moss and aerate to loosen soil allowing nutrients to penetrate. He stated that this will take all season to get the bare spots growing again. This all made sense but time will tell if this brings our lawn back to what it used to be.

I was told it would take about a year to clear up my burr/sticker weed issue. Its the following year and I don't see a difference. The weeds are just as pervasive. They came out to do a complimentary extra treatment once, but it didn't make a difference.
The workers and phone reps seem nice enough but the service isn't living up to expectations. -
I am very unhappy with Tru Green. The technicians rush through the yard and do not provide a thorough service. I have called 4 times for a manager to call me. No return call. The past 3 services I have had to ask for a redo. I prefer the service is done correctly and thoroughly the first time. I am most likely going to drop this service. Note the fire ants and weeds. I Pay too much to babysit the technician.

Joe Dorsey is the man! You can tell within a 5 minute conversation how much pride he takes in his work. Our lawn is always better the following weeks when he shows up for care. He also took the time to explain everything he’s doing, and what it’s taking care of.

I'm overall pleased with the results thus far. I'm 6 treatments and an areation into my year plan with them and this is the first time ever using them. I mainly called them to come out and areate.
For someone who is good about keeping their yard mowed and hydrated but not having the knowledge of fert and food, or jsut want to keep the labor to a minimum, this service may be for you. Otherwise, from my personal experience, I can get the same results for half the cost. Of course, it's more work on my end, but I enjoy it.
Being knowledgeable in yard care and always doing it all on my own, here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
1. Areation works well.
2. Fert and food from them seems to be working good.
3. Lawn is slightly greener than what I had the previous year.
4. They will come out between treatments and take care of weed problems for free.
5. Customer service is pretty good.
6. Great information concerning lawn care on the website.
Cons:
1. They will call you 24 hours before a scheduled treatment, but I wish they would call 30 minutes prior to showing up so I can be there to ask the Tech some questions and point some things out. I tried to have this requested, but it never goes through.
2. Expensive. Albeit, you will pay for what you get, and I am overall pleased with the results, but as I mentioned above, I can get close to the same results at half the annual cost.
That's about it. I do have photos comparing before and after having service with TrueGreen.
I'll set the photo timeline up for you, and you be the judge:
1st photo: We closed on the house in October of 2015.
2nd photo: This is our first Spring in 2016. This photo was taken in late spring, early summer.
3rd & 4th photo: These photos were taken in June of 2017, 6 treatments of TruGreen so far and an areation back in April.
5th phot o is of the same timeline but of the backyard. Sorry, no previous photos of backyard.
As I said, if your short on time, don't like the labor or have the knowledge of lawn care and have the money to spend, I think TruGreen is a viable option for a great looking lawn.
However, if you love yard work as much as I do and have the knowledge and time, I truly believe you can get the same, if not better results on your own and save a lot of money.
So, as you can see, TruGreen does have it's place and can be an option.
One last thing.... you may or may ot know, TruGreen bought out Scotts Lawn Care back in 2014, so in hindsight, I'm going to assume that a lot of the product they use, you can find commercially under the Scotts brand name.
