Being in sales myself, I was genuinely inspired to elevate my own level of customer service based on my experience working with Steven.

He was attentive, respectful, and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who takes such pride in their job, and it speaks volumes about his character and work ethic.

We had a shockingly great time visiting Moon Valley Nurseries. The nurseries we've been too, seem to only hire staff for the sake of just having staff. Couldn't answer our questions about certain trees nor plants. Just useless. At this nursery, we were helped by Robert De Wit. We were window shopping for an HOA *🙄* approved tree for our front yard. We genuinely didnt expect to buy one that day, but Robert was very knowledgeable about which tree would best benefit us, our yard and the area. We also brought our elderly neighbor with us and he also got a tree. We felt comfortable with Robert and just had an overall positive vibe. Trees do not come cheap, so the reassurances were great.

Update: Monday, September 15th 2025.
So we paid for our tree, delivery service and the $400 add on of them coming out a several times within a year, to check and service our new, beautiful tree. Our initial meeting was great. A crew arrived to dig the hole for the tree on 9/12, but they forgot to dig our elderly neighbors hole, whom also paid in full and wasn't given a call as a courtesy. I received a text the next day that our tree was scheduled for delivery between 11am-3pm. At 2:45pm, the General Manager David called to say if we can reschedule the tree delivery as one of his workers was supposedly not feeling well. Which would have also meant our elderly neighbor wouldn't have gotten the hole dug and tree planted. If they contacted him, I can't say. I contacted my fiance at work, he called Robert and David and his crew said they were around the corner and came anyways to plant the tree. So that threw me off, as they were already near-by. They had a tarp piled with the dug up dirt covering some of my fiances beloved grass, so this didnt fly with him, to leave it on the grass for a few more days. David did offer to come by to move the tarp to our pavers, but my fiance somehow got them to keep their word on planting our tree. Getting a hold of Robert by phone call is difficult. He's young, so he may just prefer texting than phone calls. As my fiance is a trucker, texting is out of the question, so phone calls are necessary for him, which he had already told Robert about from the get-go. Robert always seems to be in a meeting or consulting with a possible client. Idk how many meetings employees at nurseries have, but its way more than I expected. I honestly think many of those times, it was just an excuse to not answer a phone call. One of the times Robert told my fiance he'd call him back, but he said he had forgot, so at least he gave an honest answer, instead of another meeting excuse. We were excited to continue business with Moon Valley, as our backyard eventually needs a lot of work but they've seemed to change their tune after the initial meeting, with how they actually represent themselves. Theyre not rude to us, by any means, but they just havent felt reliable, as we were reassured in our initial metting. Which is really disappointing. We're still on the fence about asking for the $400 refund for the year warranty as their recent work ethic hasn't inspired confidence. As paying customers, as any paying customers really, we want to feel like we matter through the actions of work quality, customer services, being punctual and understanding. Moving forward, we're feeling a bit trepidatious. I take reviews seriously, so I'll update accordingly.

I was looking to get some fruit trees and while looking to find a source, I stumbled upon Moon Valley. I met Robert De Wit and he walked me around some options they had available. After discussing my needs and their options, I opted to source my trees from Moon Valley and Robert helped guide me through the process. I was really excited for their warranty protection through the first year. The nursery, from contact to planting, was great. Great communication, and extremely helpful. 5-stars for Robert for his availability and steadfast communication. I would recommend this business and would but again in the future.

Best nursery for trees,shrubs or potted plants. I have bought several trees and shrubs over this past year. Each tree is healthy and doing great. Our experience with Moon Valley Nursery has been fantastic. I’m familiar with them from our time living in California so I knew their trees would be quality, grown in the same container they get delivered in, with healthy root balls that have not been disturbed multiple times like other nurseries. I worked with Jon Bostick with my landscape design space and he helped me choose these beautiful Taylor Junipers for my yard to create the privacy we want but still have some space to see in-between each tree and admire their structure. These junipers will easily double in height and girth. They’re perfect for our climate here at the edge of hot Hill Country. Antoine’s crew did a great job digging the line of holes for the trees in 100° degree heat and high humidity. We’re so appreciative of their backbreaking labor. Sean Washburn’s planting team arrived the next day and made fast work of planting the trees perfectly and removing excess rock. Moon Valley amends your soil based on type for maximum success of your trees. The warranty on the trees is excellent and it’s renewable. We are very pleased with the finished product.

My wife and I needed some privacy bushes and some nice plants to make our house feel more like a home. We went to Moon Valley Nurseries and had a very pleasant experience. We found what we wanted to have in our yard and scheduled a day to have everything planted. One of the employees came out and flagged the areas where our new privacy bushes and trees were supposed to go.

The day before our planting day was scheduled, we had a crew come out led by Frankie Torres. I told my wife after he left that the experience I had with Frankie is exactly what I had hoped for with every service technician that has come to my home. He was extremely polite and respectful the entire time he was here. He verified the spacing of the privacy bushes and made suggestions when needed to ensure we were happy with the end product. The way he made sure his guys were taking care of the area like it was his home was very important to us. Our project is ready to go and I truly believe it will be an amazing end product because of the thoughtful care that was put in during the preparation phase. Very grateful to have Frankie lead that part of the project.

We had a great experience with Moon Valley Nursery! From the sale to the planting. Everything was explained well from Robert DeWitt, our sales associate... finding the right tree for us, when the planting would take place, how to care for the tree, and when they would come out in the next year to check on and care for the tree. The communication between the digging crew with David Carvajal was well appreciated and the hole that was dug by them was perfect. But I have to say that Tony Flores, the planting crew manager, and his team were the Best. I stood out in my front yard and watched them plant the tree. Tony explained the entire process and was a wealth of information about the care of the tree, when to trim the tree, the level where to trim the tree, as well as information about the Monterrey Oaks themselves. I asked Several questions during the planting and Tony had an answer for all of them. It was obvious he also pays close attention to detail and noticed the tree was bowed a little, just above the middle of the tree, and he had his crew attach it to a stake so it would grow the other direction and straighten out some, as well as giving it more support. He made sure the tree was planted perfectly. Tony was amazing! When we purchase another tree, we will definitely use Moon Valley Nursery!

Tony Flores and his planting crew did an outstanding job with our 3 Live Oak Trees. They were efficient and very thorough. Tony passed on tips for keeping the deer from our trees and made sure we understood the watering and fertilizing needs to ensure success.

I just purchased a Southern Live Oak from Moon Valley. My point of contact was Robert De Wit. The communication was fantastic. He gave me his cell to help coordinate our install date. They had the best trees I could find in the area. I could track to location of my install team on the day of delivery. Tony and the install team took care to not damage my grass during install. They were pleasant and fast! I was satisfied all the way around with the team at Moon Valley. Great product and a well run company.

Robert was great. Walked us thru the nursery and showed us a lot of good options for plants we were looking for. Ended up with some rosemary and sewage and excited to fill in our backyard. Highly recommend!

We are so happy with the customer service from Moon Valley! Robert De Wit was our point of contact — he deserves 5 stars himself! He was very thorough not only with information about the process, he even sent photos of perspective trees since we’re a little farther from the nursery and couldn’t view them in person. There was great communication with the team on dig and installation days. Tony and his crew worked quickly and did a great job planting. All around, great experience!

Great work! Trimmed 2 large oak trees that were scraping my roofline. They were quick with their estimate and proposal, and I felt the price was extremely fair for the work done. Highly recommend and will be using them annually!
