Awesome (no so little) nursery offering everything from ornamentals and fruit trees/bushes to flowers, herbs and vegetables.

We just picked up an Joey Avocado and Key Lime tree from Fanick's. We were super impressed with the place. Clean, organized and knowledgeable and patient employees. All plants and trees looked very healthy and well cared for.. Well worth the 30 minute drive from far North San Antonio. Can't wait for the trees to start producing!

I am very disappointed with the manager/owner (Mark), who has refused to give me a refund for some diseased tomato plants on invoice #207952. We purchased the new Rodeo variety on 2/21/23, and they developed a white fuzz on the new growth and the leaves began to turn black around the edges after about 3-4 weeks. So, I took samples to show to Mark, and he confirmed that they had a type of fusarium disease. I am not a novice gardener, and we have never experienced this type of disease with our tomatoes. Anyway, I asked him today for a refund of my $13.47 purchase, and he refused this small refund. Is this the way a reputable business treats its customers? I was totally surprised at his reaction and refusal to offer a refund, whereas other nurseries and garden centers like Milbergers, Lowe’s, and Home Depot stand behind their plants. Potential customers should be warned that they print a statement on each receipt that states: NO PLANT GUARANTEE.

My family have been customers of Fanick's Garden Center for decades. Every plant we've added to our home from our 23 y/o Live Oak that now stands well above 30ft, to all the flowering trees and shrubs we've purchased over the years, each of them we've purchased from Fanick's.
It is a family owned business, and the owners, in particular, are absolute plant experts. The quality of knowledge, experience and service they provide are exceptional and a rarity.
Our most recent purchase, a mother's day gift, was a beautiful Ebony Flame Crape Myrtle that just started blooming this week (pictured below).
We've always had the most positive experience shopping at Fanick's, and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. -
Stopped by here a week ago or so to check it out also to see if they had some citronella plants for the house. I am amazed at how big the place is with all the plants and supplies that they have for them. Plenty of flowers, herbs, and trees. Staff are friendly and seem knowledgeable. Only complaints I have are the fact that I didn't receive my points card after a purchase, I didn't realize it until after I left and the fact that the number listed online and business card does not work whatsoever. Tried calling to no avail. Other than that, I would recommend just watch out for stowaways.

The garden center sits on several acres and there are green houses and display areas which offer a vast selection of gardening. The garden center was a park-like setting because they have sitting areas, beautiful trees with lots of shade, including garden statues throughout the nursery. Even though it was nearing closing time their staff was extremely helpful and cordial.

Had great & informative service. Had questions on plant and lawn care and they were answered knowledgeablely. They have a great variety of plants & products to chose from. I know I'll be a returning customer.

Wow! Beautiful garden center with so much variety of plants. They have so many varieties of fruit trees, walnut trees, ornamental trees, landscaping trees, flowering plants, and many vegetable plants. They also sell the beneficial nematodes which are great for keeping the bad insects away such as fleas, ticks. They have a helpful staff. Highly recommend. It’s on the south side of town but worth the drive if you want a great selection.

This place is awesome. They have huge trees, medium trees, and smaller trees. They have fruit trees, veggies, and flowering plants. You can tell that everything is being taken care of VERY well. And if you're a cat person, they have some cute kitties wandering around! ☺️

Fanick's is my favorite! Their selection of fruit trees, citrus, berries, vegetables, native plants, and beautiful plants like plumeria are incredible! They have a huge selection, and they know what grows in our climate. All the plants I've bought from there are all thriving - and I've bought a LOT! It's over an hour drive for me, but it's worth the drive!

I recommend this place to everyone because I have been a customer of this place for last 7 years. I wish I could give more stars to this place. The behavior of the staff and owners here is very appropriate and respectful. The space is very relaxing and beautiful. You can buy the best and healthiest fruit trees, shrubs, Flowers, Herbs and … here. I have bought more than 28 of my fruit trees from this place. Especially my two favorite trees, quince trees . I suggest that you go to this place during the rose buying season to enjoy the pleasant smell of roses. I bought 35 out of 80 my rose bushes from this place.

Bought about 8 fruit trees from them and they were all very healthy and have survived a full year so far. Great variety

I love, love this place. If you're in a hurry though, you may have a wait to check out since there's only a couple registers. That being said, every employee has given us individual attention and answered all of our questions. They had just what we needed, and great prices. Lots of selection on a variety of plants, trees, fertilizers and pest control, soils, and other tools, but if you're looking for succulents, they mainly deal in agave, aloe, sempervivums, cacti and some occasional wild cards (like our pink ice plant!).

Everyone that works there is awesome. You can always find help and they have a wide variety of plants and trees. Plus a nice selection of colorful pots. I love this place.

Super friendly and helpful folks here! They make you feel right at home and happy to ask questions or learn more about plants. Love that they carry ones that can actually handle our hot San Antonio weather, no more wasting money on big-box plants that don’t stand a chance.

What a hidden gem on the Southeast side of town. Definitely worth the drive out. Arguably the best garden and nursery center in town, I was very happy and impressed to stumble onto this establishment, which has been open for years. It is down a neighborhood street, but don't worry about parking as there is ample room. They have everything from trees to cacti, water features to animal sculptures. The staff is super friendly. Don't forget to ask about their frequent buyer rewards card. If you garden or plan to start, this must be on your list of nurseries to visit in San Antonio.

Wow! A beautiful and complete garden center on the Eastside of San Antonio. Fanicks Garden Center has everything you need. Walking the ground is relaxing and it feels like a park. They had plants, soil, chemicals and expert advice. Prices were very reasonable. The staff member I spoke to was professional and knowledgeable. We had a great experience. My wife can't wait to go back again.

We were impressed by the outstanding customer service provided by Glenn and Brandon during our initial visit to this remarkable nursery after our wedding day.
The nursery's vast size is complemented by its immaculate condition, making our first visit truly exceptional. The prices are very reasonable, and the plant selection is incredibly diverse. -
During the January freeze, I called to get information about when to uncover my lemon tree, I was given the information of care for my tree without hesitation in a caring and friendly voice. She was very pleasant. I thank God for Fanick's nursery. May God continue to Bless them.
By the Grace of God my tree survived with the blooms and lemons it had on it. -
Nice friendly experience each time I’ve visited. I’ve purchased many plants from here
