The technician was thorough and very polite. He explained everything to us. Our chimney is very clean now. Will need an expected repair. That is to be performed on a timely basis.

This is the second time I’ve used The Texan Chimney for repairs (unrelated issues to each other) and both times they have been exemplary. They are VERY VERY polite, very clean, and very thorough. They also don’t try to scare you or overcharge you or oversell — they simply tell you what needs done and provide proof and their honest assessment. Highly recommend!

Tried to charge an extra 400 dollars for a deep cleaning because there were ashes in the firebox. This was after showing up 35 minutes after the provided timeframe and 1 hour after the shared ETA.

The Texan Chimney Sweep San Antonio was on time, cleaned and inspected our chimney, and gave a prompt and reasonable estimate to repair our chimney cap and crown. Roy was neat, courteous, and thorough. The office called just after Roy left and scheduled our repairs. I will update this after the repairs are completed.

We’ve used them for years to clean our dryer vent, it’s an annual thing. always amazed at how much lint comes out. feel safe knowing no dryer fires. price is right, on time, friendly, and do a great job.

We’re converting our wood fireplace to propane, and John came to check the chimney first. He was really thorough, showed pics, and explained the repairs clear. We’re glad we went with Stanley Chimney Sweep & Repair and def recommend them.

I made an appointment with Johnson Chimney sweep. They offered an inspection and sweep of the chimney. My first surprise was when the technician arrived driving a van with the name "The Texan Chimney Sweep." The technician, Roy, was very polite and said the owner of the company also owns Johnson Chimney Sweep. The technician then proceeded to look up the chimney through the flue, took out his smartphone and took a picture. He said he could not perform a cleaning because the soot accumulation at the top of the chimney needed a "deep cleaning." He then said a deep cleaning would cost $440.00. I was shocked by what appeared to me to be a "bait and switch" price change. The original quote of $99 for an "inspection and clean" was not going to happen. When I asked what was the difference in service that would justify an additional $341.00 expense, Roy stated he "had to use chemicals to loosen the soot and cleaning required a different brush."
I scheduled service with Johnson Chimney Sweep and there was nothing said over the telephone about the possibility of an increase in the cleaning fee of $99 to $440. They were happy to make the appointment, and I was happy to get my fireplace cleaned. I politely declined the $440.00 fee.
So, word to the wise, if you want to do business with Johnson Chimney Sweep or The Texan Chimney Sweep, get the full details of what the total cost may involve before you make your appointment. Many people have posted positive reviews of their service so what happened to me may not happen to you. -
Excellent customer service. I called late on a Friday and had an appointment for that Sunday. Roy showed up on time, assessed my 47 year old fireplace, sent pictures on the spot, and then. Completed the work to be done -at a fair price. Roy was very professional and polite and answered all my questions. This is the type of company you want to do business with.

The Texan Chimney Sweep was quick and professional. My old sweep was leaking after new siding, and Lucas explained I only needed a new one, no upselling. They installed it fast, cleaned up after, and it looks and works great. Highly recommend.

We had birds nesting up in the flue (pretty sure they paid rent at this point). Crew came out, cleared it all, installed a cap, and brushed everything down. Our fireplace finally draws right without that burning-feather smell lol.

I called Jhonson Chimney Company for a standard chimney cleaning and John made the whole chimney sweep process easy and stress free. The fireplace looks spotless now and works great.

Service was spectacular for our bid. They really worked hard to accommodate my emergency regarding scheduling. They arrived on time , very polite, provide bid before they left. Recommend highly.

Booked a $99 inspection and basic cleaning. When they arrived, they claimed a “tree” was inside my chimney (it was a nest) and said the basic cleaning was pointless. They pushed a $500 “deep clean” and then tried to sell a “custom” chimney cap for $3,500, saying there were no other options and offering a “discount” to $2,500. I checked the neighborhood and the so-called custom caps look identical on every house. We also confirmed with a firefighter that the nest could be cleared with simple tools.
The pressure tactics, inflated pricing, and scare language were clear red flags. For what they quoted, they might as well be building a new chimney. I declined the work and will use a reputable, certified sweep instead. Not recommended. -
We had this team come out for a Level 1 inspection and their chimney sweep service was thorough from top to bottom. They explained what they were checking and gave us real peace of mind.

If I could give negative stars, I would. They showed up just to literally eye ball my fireplace after I had provided a detailed description of the problem when I scheduled them. This was obviously just to collect an easy $69 and they only accepted checks or cash and no CC’s which is smart on their part because I would have already disputed this BS charge via CC and won. Then he was going to send me a quote that same day to replace entire fireplace and he was also going to have an actual technician come out later that day or the next but not a peep from anyone even after I reached to them again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OUTFIT. TOTAL SCAMMERS!!!

We called these chimney specialists to fix a broken damper and their chimney sweep service made sure everything was clean before installing the new part. The fireplace finally opens and closes smoothly.

Time for the regular chimney cleaning came around again. I did some searches and thought they had some good reviews. I called them and got quoted $99 for a chimney sweep. Tech arrived early and went to the review to review the outside and cap. Came back in and said he had some recommendations. He wrote up $300 to caulk the wood around the chimney pipe, $830 for a deep cleaning of the chimney, and $1830 to replace the metal sheeting on top of the chimney. So we are now 30x above the original $99 sweeping. I politely told the tech that he has wasted both our time and asked him to leave. Will skip the fires this winter and get it cleaned next summer when they are slow.

Our home needed a deeper Level 2 inspection before we installed a new insert and Daniel handled the chimney sweep with real attention to detail. We feel a lot safer knowing everything checked out.

Ben was thorough with the chimney inspection and explained what was needed by showing a clear video of my chimney. Presented quotes right away, did not pressure me in any way to purchase instead made a clear presentation of what he recommended. I was happy with his service.
