8/2/19 -Comfortable Air LLC, is a Fraud. They operate under various business names. (Allergy-Free Air; Mold Free Air; Allergy-Free Air, LLC, etc) There technicians are scam artist. I hired them to clean my air ducts. I had over 30+ ducts that needed cleaning. The technician came in and the first thing out of his mouth was that I had mold. and It would need to be treated in order for the duct cleaning to be warrantied at an additional cost. 2 technician came to my house. One technician distracted while the other technician went to my various rooms acting like he was cleaning my ducts. The technician did not realize that I had video cameras in some of the rooms and caught the tech setting up a ladder by an air duct turned the machine but DID NOT cleaning anything. I took several photos of dirty ducts. Repeatedly try to get the company to make good on their guarantee and to date no response. This company uses various coupon incentives to lure customer into their web of deceitfulness . They have been reported to the Texas License Board.

Comforable air was a very professional company that I had the pleasure of working with. When I called to schedule an appointment I got a response right away and they had flexible scheduling that worked with my schedule. When the tech arrived he was very professional and knowledgeable; he recommended what other products that would prevent further organisms from entering my duct system. I highly recommend this company!

Their service was speedy and well done. They clean my chimney and place a UV light system to Air/Heating system.

Shawn was extremely professional and very helpful when he found mold issues in the attic. He cleaned it all and then installed UV lights to prevent the mold from returning.
Aaron was excellent, as well. He even volunteered to replace our air return filters while he was on the ladder. He also cleaned the dryer vent that goes to the roof.

Please don't waste your time or money with this company. It's a complete scam. Wish I would've seen the reviews before. They came out to clean my vents & ducts. The technician of course showed me pictures of mold inmthe ac unit and was more than persistent and very annoying. He was trying to rip me off, he wanted to charge extra for everything that was included in the coupon. By the way they left without finishing up what was includes in the coupon, but I don't care because I don't ever want that technician in my home. It was just a horrible experience.

Nes was THE MAN!
I bought a Duplex and called on an add I found in the paper to see if this might help remove some of the smoke smell left in my rental unit from the last owner.

They arrived right on time, and got to work immediately- a few minutes in Nes called over to me and asked if I ever heard of Snow in Texas
My heart sank - already thought to myself “this can’t be good”

The rental units compressor was completely cased in Ice. I knew full well that wasn’t something I could afford to replace having just closed on the place, and I told him flat out that I didn’t even know if I could afford to have it fixed.

Nes was able to show me with pictures and video EXACTLY what was wrong, and showed me a way he could keep things running for the time being, and gave me a flexible way for me to pay for his services (which was extremely generous)

These guys treated me like family, and I can’t thank them enough! 11/10 would recommend to anyone looking for this service.

Absolutely horrible company. Here we are being told we need a mold removal and after having to pay $839 we still have visible mold where it should not be. We tried to speak to the technician on site about Welty it was still there and he would not answer. The “after pictures” we received were zoomed in and of a corner in one spot, and only one photo, to show the mold was “gone”. After calling to complain I was given the runaround, I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for over 15 minutes with no one ever coming to the phone. Absolute con artist of a company, stay away if you value your money at all.

First, I read some of the reviews, and though I wasn't 'there', I'm not sure what happened that might have caused negative reviews. Today was the second time we've used Comfortable Air, and if they had not been superb the first time, they wouldn't have gotten a second time. A year ago they came and cleaned our air ducts, dryer vent (2-story house, external vent on the roof). They did find mold in the ducts, but they didn't just "say" we had mold... they took photos and showed us. They also took both photos and video of the lint coming out of the dryer vent for us. I don't remember the name of the helper from a year ago, but the primary person was Ilan. What a SUPER NICE guy, very professional, very informative, while also getting the job done quickly and efficiently. Today we were lucky enough to have Ilan again, and he had Leo with him. Today was cleaning the ducts, the dryer vent system, and installing a UV Light system for our ducts to take care of mold and other health causing issues once and for all. The manager worked with us through Ilan and we got a great deal for all of the work done today, and again, they worked very efficiently to get the job done quickly. Once done, Ilan walked me through everything they did, showed me where the UV was installed and what to do if the light on the system was ever off, etc. The two times this company has been to our home they have been nothing but forthcoming, honest, and have done a GREAT job. They'll be our AC company from now on.

We got a coupon in the mail for a chimney sweep. Upon arrival, there were two people that showed up for one chimney. What we later realized is the second person is only there to blatantly lie and try to scam you.

Guy #2 insists that we get a free air duct inspection. We don't need one since we already have a service for that, but he insists. After he goes into the attic to check it out, he comes down with all these pictures of mold growth and rust on the drip panel. We were a little skeptical since in between swiping through these pictures, there were other random pictures. They wanted to charge us $1000 to clean our air ducts and install some sort of UV light. He then notices we are a young couple and tries to appeal to us getting this issue fixed before before we have a family.

So, I look up reviews while we "are thinking about it" and tell him we aren't interested. He was persistent that we have to fix it and it is a dangerous situation....we hold our ground and they leave. As they are walking out the door my wife says "Wait, we only called you here for the chimney sweep and you have not said one word about our chimney." The guy responds and says "Oh yea, it was dirty"

First thing we do is check the chimney. They scratched it up everywhere while cleaning it. We don't trust they even did a good job so we are going to call another service.

Next, we go into the attic - NOTHING LOOKS LIKE THE PICTURES. I mean, what would this guy have done if i asked to go up there with him to take a look? Just because we are still stressed out about it, we get an air quality kit from home depot. And we did not get a single spore of mold growth on it when testing the air ducts directly.

I mean.....this business is a complete sham. Thank goodness we had the awareness to not fall for it. Posting this because the reviews here helped save us $1000 and i hope my review can help someone else down the road

Comfortable Air just left my house. I used a coupon I had found to get a spring air duct cleaning, which included other services including dryer vent cleaning. Upon arriving, we were told we have more returns and the cost went from $89.00 to $290.00 based on the cost per return. I'm okay with that as we were unsure of how many returns there were. As they were cleaning, they found mold, showed a picture and asked if we wanted to fix it. The cost would be $500. They didn't tell us where the mold was located or ask if we wanted to go see it, just showed the picture. We declined the mold service. The coupon and payment were given to the technician as he left and after getting packed up and about to leave, he turned around and asked, "Do you all want your dryer vents cleaned?" Um...yeah, it's part of the coupon. Why would they even ask? They left without doing it as the question posed insinuated another cost when it was part of the services listed on the coupon. I called the company to report that we needed someone to come do our dryer vent along with needing the location of where the mold was located. The technician did call back, stated that they did provide all the services properly and that they have to ask if they can do the dryer vents even if it is part of the services listed on the coupon as there is law that they cannot go into a room in the house without permission. I can respect that, but how about saying, "As part of the service on this coupon, we can clean your dryer vent. May I see your laundry room?" They are going to send out a technician to do the dryer vent, and sent pictures of the mold to our email. Waiting to hear back from the company so they can schedule our dryer vent cleaning.

Would give zero stars if that was an option. Extremely unprofessional! The tech was very arrogant and condescending. He was also extremely rude to the helpers, yelling at them. He kept trying to find anything wrong he could (even if there was nothing wrong to begin with) trying to increase my bill amount. He was extremely pushy about it. My mother had stopped by and he even tried pushing her to pay for those things that didn’t need fixing. Had to be firm with him. When he finally realized I was only going to pay for the services I asked for, he disappeared and sat in his truck never to be seen again. They never cleaned my 2nd story vents which I had already paid the $89. for. They also damaged our fireplace vent and pulled out the cover of our fireplace clean out from the stone of our house and tried to cover it up by placing something in front of it. When they left I never a heard a word from them. Never said “We’re all done” not even “Bye”. Just packed up and left leaving my front door wide open. I would NEVER use them again & NEVER would recommend them to anyone!! Total waste of my time and total waste of over $200.

The man with a heavy accent arrived with two other gentlemen, they did a vent cleaning and begin to tell me all the problems that my ACs were having with mold and such, yet I had my AC guy, of 20 yrs, up there a couple days before and he had not seen or mentioned any mold which I assume he would’ve done if it was as bad as this man was alluding to. He was pressuring me into getting the additional services to have it cleaned, would not take no for an answer. After refusing those additional services he hiked up the cost of the original service itself which I explained I had a coupon for and already clarified what it covered with the lady I scheduled the appointment with. Ultimately he left with me paying more because he was bound and determined to get paid more than what the coupon was going to pay him and I just wanted them out of my house. He did nothing more than what was described in the coupon, yet he charged me more and proceeded to argue with me. I feel this company is not transparent at all, they adjust the bill according to what they want to make off of the job. He also did a dryer vent clean which he charged me for which was also notated in the coupon as being covered, he said that’s for basic cleaning, I said all you did was run a circular brush up the vent from outside, how is that not a basic cleaning? To make matters worse he got nothing out of the dryer vent when he cleaned it yet still charged me. This company is a scam, they lack integrity and transparency. I highly recommend no one use them or you chance being scammed too.

I would like to say a few words concerning my experience with two hardworking individuals. On August 9, 2021, I was having a problem with a UV light in my attic. I called Gabriel Ruiz from Comfortable Air to report the problem. It was early on a Monday morning and I explained to Gabriel the problem. To my amazed, Gabriel responded within 30 minutes. He did a fantastic and outstanding job. Gabriel and his assistance Ruben did a professional and clean job. They fixed the problem and guaranteed the job will last a long time. Gabriel and Ruben were very courteous, professional, great customer service, knowledgeable and dependable. Special thanks to Gabriel for being there for us. I will highly recommend him to friends and family.
