Mr. Joe, has been very helpful to my ac system ever since he began servicing for me. I strongly recommend him to anyone who may have problems with their system.

Huge problems for them to come out. Finally reached the owner and he came personally 2 days later, make promises about fixing things and then getting rude and abandoning us again. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody.
He also made the problem sound way worse scaring us into getting more work done then needed at this time. We found that out when an other contractor came and looked at it.

I don't know what to say. They showed up on time diagnosed our problem. Gave us a fair price and installed the next day. Each team member was knowledgeable and friendly and open to answer all my questions

Trying to get ahold of Mr Ace since yesterday. We are freezing inside our home. They have been out to our home several times and we are still freezing. We replaced our unit. Spent thousands. We replaced our ducts. More $. We replaced our wiring. More $. We installed an eco bee and relocated the thermostat at Mr Ace’s recommendation. It is now 18 degrees outside (and will get down to 10 tonight) and we cannot get the temperature in our home above 56. We have children and pets here. The below freezing temperatures will continue all week. This is an emergency and we cannot get a call back.

Had to call myself to find out they were not going to come on the scheduled day… and wouldn’t work us in the next morning to fix our AC that had been out for several days. All communication regarding our appointment was initiated by me! If you know you aren’t going to make it to a call, let the customer know!

Jesse and Jay are HVAC superheroes! During a preseason checkup of our heating system, they uncovered so many problems that were costing us a lot of money in energy bills. They took pictures, videos, and even took me up into the attic to show me what was wrong. I feel so confident about the work they are doing! From now on, this will be the only company I use for our HVAC needs.

Every now and then a contractor comes along and disappoints in so many aspects of customer service, that it literally wears you out. With over 40% of their customer reviews at a 1 star rating, one can see this business has a culture of poor top down customer service. Avoid these guys at all cost.

Mr Ace Mechanical is a fantastic family owned company. They are thorough, professional, explain to you the customer what needs repaired or replaced, honest, forthright, and I highly recommend for your heating and cooling needs. They have worked on my system for two years now and they are who I trust for all my AC/ Heating needs. A+ Company!

Best HVAC service in San Antonio! Very professional, respectful, timely....they know exactly what they are doing. Crystal was a doll, she made sure i got a timely appointment and also kept me informed on their ETA. Joe put on shoe covers coming into our home, they both had their face masks on, and even vacuum cleaned the carpet around where the work was done. I certainly recommend their services 100%, you can not go wrong with a family owned business like theirs.

Horrible service. Company is unresponsive and doesn’t seem to want business. Definitely use anything but these guys. They probably won’t even care about this review. Trash all the way around!

Edit: My wife has spoken with Crystal on several occasions. We had an appointment on April 27 which was rescheduled to May 8 which was a no call/no show. We left messages for you on May 10 and May 14 with no response. Our warranty company has also reached out on our behalf. If you pride yourself on customer service, you have little to be proud of.

This is a sham of a company. The “owner” and I use that word loosely, is a complete fool. He came out to my house on 3/30 and misdiagnosed a leak in AC. He charged me $200 for a refill without doing a pressure test. 4/12 my AC goes out again and he shows up to say “ you have a leak” and we have to order the part.

Since I’m going through a home warranty company, all data had to be submitted to the company for approval. Mind you, he came out on a Tuesday and promised me at that info would be submitted no later than Wednesday evening. Well he submitted the info the following Monday.

After I spoke with the owner today 4/27 and him over talking me, and then hanging up, he let me know that customer service isn’t something he offers….. clearly. He then called the warrant company to tell them a complete fabrication of the truth but that was to be expected.

If you’re looking for a honest AC company, this clown show isn’t it.

Was assigned this guy from Landmark, our home warrant company. According to Landmark, he was supposed to come out on a Wednesday to repair our AC. I called him on Tuesday to give him out gate code. He told me according to his records, he was supposed to come out Thursday. He never showed on Thursday. Finally got in touch with him late Thursday and he said he would be out Friday morning around 1000. Finally showed up around 200. Reported to our HW company that we had a bad fan, bent fins and that the problem was due to improper maintenance. Took him 5 days to report the problem to Landmark. After fighting with LM that it could not be due to improper mainenance since our AC had been inspected and tuned-up for the last four years by one of their contractors and no recommendations have ever been made in addition to the tune-up, LM finally agreed to allow us a second opinon. The second company that came out said our problem was due to a faulty capacitor and fixed the problem on the spot. Stated he didn't even need pre-approval to replace the capacitor with the HW company.

They were dispatched as part of my Home Warranty with Landmark and did not do a thorough inspection. I had to call them multiple times just to set up the inspection. They never connected anything to actually see how much coolant was in the system, which another verified was empty. I would not recommend them and if I could give 0 stars I would.

Used their recommended Sheetrock repair guy after an AC leak fix, it was the owners brother and after months of trying to schedule the job, we paid the full amount and the patchwork was done so poorly, paint didn’t match, texture wasn’t even, it was obvious it was a patch job and since it was on our ceiling we needed insulation and they used our existing insulation to help cover the area… they then promised to refund since we weren’t happy and we never received anything. Lost $1300. So disappointed. They stopped responding.

My house was HOT AS HELL & Mr.Ace came out & fixed my AC asap. I had no trouble with them they were in and out & very efficient.
Everyone’s experience is different but a great job should be recognized when a great job is done. I’m happy to compliment them on it! 🙌🏽

Use this company through landmark home warranty. Doesn't keep appointment time, Doesn't answer phone for you or landmark home warranty, and will not close service by submitting notes. Funny thing is we asked for this company because 5 years ago the company was honest and humble, really did the work. Now I think its either they have figured out how to scam home warranty companies that use them or flat out just don't want to work because of all the government funding received for pandemic. Either way not good business and I hope when he does need the work or business it's not there for him. These ac guy's landmark home warranty use have all figured out how to get over on them and to make the home owner pay out of pocket otherwise they waiting 60-90 days. Leak test, electrical and freon scams. 3 things either cost you right then and there, or gets them paid regardless and on to next job faster. If these guys lie 10 times a day it's $1000, easy, just saying it's electrical because they don't feel like fixing it right then. To come out must places charge $100 plus pre diagnosis and travel remember that. Your home warranty gone send out electrical and if they don't fix it send rightfback out the guy that should've fixed it first time to say it's freon. Be careful these guys don't want to work no more. Your Freon can be drained and reused if your nor watching these guys.

This business lacks communication and professionalism. I've been waiting for a phone call from the tech for 3 weeks now after looking at my broken A/C. He quoted me $3,500 for a replacement due to the insurance covering the other half. He reports to insurance that my a/c stopped working due to my negligence and now they denied coverage. He made no mention of lack of maintenance. If that was the case it should have been discussed in the phone call when we discussed pricing. Now looking at $7,800 for a replacement. Office sends messages to him and he continues to avoid reaching out. Look else where if you want honesty.

Response: Yes, as a customer all I wanted was honesty and transparency. That was not given in my case. I understand the insurance made the final decision and of course I didn’t expect you to provide false information. I contacted your office three times to discuss what my options were or why they would have denied my claim. What’s funny is that you responded so quickly to a bad review but I’ve been calling since the end of December With no returned call.

They were sent by our home warranty and boy was I glad to get a second opinion after them. We just closed on our house and I even made sure to have the AC unit maintenance before closing. We have Super as our home warranty and their one requirement is that our AC is cleaned and well maintenance. Then the cold front came in and that’s when we found out that our downstair’s unit would not heat up.

Super sent out Mr Ace HVAC and the tech seemed very honest and nice. He knows that I am pregnant with little ones in the house (will be a point in a little bit). After inspecting our unit, he told me that we ultimately need our AC replaced (about 5k) and at that time I didn’t question it because the unit was old and I didn’t doubt that that could be a caused. He then proceeded by saying that our unit is so dirty that there’s debris and mold. At first it sounded like he was concerned for my health as well as for my kids. He offered for me to be on the line as he contacted Super so I can hear it from them that my claim will be denied. When I mentioned to Super that we just purchased the home they told me I would need to send the inspection report and the proof of receipts to them. Which I did and the tech asked for a copy too. Didn’t think anything of it, so I did. About 10 mins later he called me and said that he spoke to the rep to see if they can approve the claim and he told me that the rep told him no, the claim will be denied so “she can either pay you out of pocket or let her children freeze to death” (this is where I found it suspicious). I began fighting with Super and they told me that they do not have a record and even reviewed m their recordings and there were none that indicate of such claimed he made about my children. They reviewed my receipts and approved my claim but they said it will need to be cleaned since that is part of their requirements and at that time Mr Ace quoted $1500 for the cleaning, $850 for the heat blower. During this period, Mr Ace HVAC has called me twice and left a voicemail pressuring me to make a decision prior to my home warranty denying or approving the claim, he also sent me three text messages saying he’ll do the job if I paid them $850 for just the blower (before the supposed claim was denied or approved).

A couple of weeks later, Super reviewed my documents and approved the claim, and since I did not believe Mr Ace at this point to pay the $1500 to have the unit clean by them so I asked Super for a second opinion. And thank God I did. The tech from another company came and inspected both the outside unit and the heating unit in the attic. And guess what? My unit was not dirty! He even took the blower out and showed me how clean the blades were and showed me the pictures. The only thing needed replacement was the motor on the blower and that was it. And what a surprised…. Super approved that instantly. I definitely do not recommend Mr Ace HVAC.

I called him with very little time of prep, and he still came and performed an AC swap and had it up and running in no time. Quick, efficient, and no mistakes! Definitely recommend to anyone!!

We have been so pleased with the service of Mr Ace Mechanical. Our warranty company sent them and our entire AC had to be replaced. It was done quickly and efficiently. There was another problem after and it was not covered by the warranty but Mr Ace worked with us on the price and made the repair fast because it was June and the temp was rising. We even asked them to come install two Mini-splits for us and they went above and beyond to fix some other issues with the electrical and did not charge any more than what they had originally quoted. We highly recommend them for any HVAC jobs you have, big or small.
