They cut my trees two seasons already he does all right, on time very professional, they are not the cheapest in town, but i'm happy with the job.

For sure i'm call next season.

I had a great experience with them. The quality of their work is excellent and their rates are very affordable. I would strongly recommend their services to keep your lawn looking great all year round.

BEWARE SAN ANTONIO HOME OWNERS. Not only they are rude, and decide when they will do the work THEMSELVES, when I came home from work I have seen my glass door completely broken after I had an Argument with Armando (who was extremely rude and unclear about what includes in the service), something that I can not prove unfortunately, but I will make sure many will know about.
POOR SERVICE, POOR COMMUNICATION, EXTREMELY RUDE.

Just like others have cited a person called and made an appointment 3 days ago but never showed. Called the company back the same day to re-schedule and had to leave a message but never got a return call. Hard to give any review.

Love this company! We have used them for years and they always go above and beyond and make our yard look amazing. My mom works with them as well and they always take great care of her. We would refer them to anyone.

Very happy with the completion of Phase 1 of our backyard project. We will definitely call Armando for Phase 2. His suggestion to what we thought we wanted ended with exactly what we didn't know we wanted! Great great great!!!

Don't waste your time with this mediocre company. We set up an appointment and they never showed. First they told me at noon, then I called at 1:30 asking what was up. No answer so I texted, he responded and said 3:00 so I waited. Never showed. I texted again at 5:00. He said they were still planning on going. I waited, and waited. The worst part, not even a call nor a text saying, "Hey we can't make it. Got busy. Can we reschedule?" NOTHING! Still haven't heard from them. What a business.... Stay away from these clowns! And they weren't even that affordable. He quoted me $65 for a job and when I called another company they quoted me $40.

Very displeased. Used this business to try to clean up flowerbeds prior to a large family event. I clearly outlined my expectation that they clean out the weeds from a bed of Asian Jasmine ground cover. They uprooted the entire bed, it took 3 years for the growth to set in, did not inform me, and placed soil on top of some of the jasmine hoping it would take root. The entire bed died- They did adjust the price, the owner feels too severely, I feel not adequately. The lack of transparency and notification in advance of the mistake they made (stated he lost my number, left a card, and stopped by when I was not home- Leaving a note posted on my door would have been more acceptable in my opinion) are a real disappointment.

Had an issue with my old Sprinkler system control, contacted owner Mr De La Pena.
He showed up fast to fix the problem, got a new controler box, he made sure all stations and sprinklers were working properly. Pricing was reasonable. I was very happy with his service, will recommend to anyone.

These guys are amazing. My yard was like a jungle. I called a lot of companies, never got a call back. These guys called me back, they came really quick. Ray and Nemo are very professional, they answered all my questions, and gave me good advice.Very friendly and did a wonderful job. Now I can enjoy myself in my beautiful and professionally done yard. Thank you ,guys! I would reccoment this company to a friend.

I have used A-A Affordable Lawn & Tree for over 2 years now and they did a wonderful job designing and installing the landscaping in my backyard and around my pool. I use them for my regular lawn care service and they do not disappoint! They always show up on time and I recommend them for your yard

How can I rate a company that didn't show up? They agreed to be at my house between 8-9am. I told them I was leaving town that day, but something that early should work for me. They never showed. It was for a rental property, so after waiting out front for them for an hour, I called them, and the guy took down my address again, and said to go home and he'd give me a call when to head back. He said it would be within 1/2 hour of the guy coming to the house. After never receiving a call, I called back around 11, and the phone was cutting straight to voice mail. Around 12:45, I left a message saying to not come and I'll go with a company that respected my time more.

I recently relocated to SA and purchased a home on a golf course that was in need of some major landscaping, including a lot of tree trimming. I researched many companies and found A Affordable Lawn Care. Being a small company I was reluctant at first but after meeting with the owner Armondo Im glad I choose them. The work was to my satisfaction and I saved hundreds of dollars over other companies. Each worker worked very hard, and strived to meet our expectations and ensure we were happy. A year later and Armondo still calls on us. I strongly recommend this company for all your landscaping needs.

I should have listened to the REVIEWS!!!! This Company DOES NOT show up when they schedule an appointment. We set an apt with them a week ago, today they called and cancelled , said another client had a leak. This tells me several things, this Co. is to small, one man show, unreliable, does not follow thru, not accountable, and makes last minute cancellations the day they are supposed to show up!! A un- reliable lawn and tree is what they should change their name to.

I called Cody for a quote for some extensive work and asked for him to follow up on a monthly basis. When he came out to do the work he did not remember what he quoted and ended up charging me more than what he quoted and did not do everything he said he would. When I called to let him know that I was not happy with the results, he did not call me back and avoided my calls until I called from a different phone number. At that point he became argumentative with me when all I wanted was for him to come back and fix what he didn't do but said he would. He comes off very nice and eager to do what you want to get your business but he isn't very nice or accommodating when you don't agree with his work! I definitely would not recommend him!!

A-Affordable lawn transformed my yard into a beautiful custom landscaping experience. They designed the rock walled flower beds, tree surroundings and selected a custom combination of flowers and plants that exceeded my expectations. In addition to the renovations in plants and surroundings, they redesigned my sprinkler system to work more efficiently with less waste and better coverage. Their bi-weekly yard service is prompt and unparalleled. I recommend them to anyone needing anything from a yard cut to an entire transformation and everything in between. Honest and fair priced services such as this are not rampant in San Antonio...these guys are the creme of the crop!

Be aware of this company, they have another lawn company also called ‘San Antonio Landscaping Concepts’. They quoted me $50 to mow the lawn at the duplex I own and only did half of the backyard leaving the other half un-mowed. When I reached out asking why my tenant is saying their half of the yard wasn’t mowed, Lili was very unprofessional and rude, she said the I was being ‘abusive’ and demanded me to send the payment. Now I am left with half of the lawn unmowed and overgrown and need to pay for someone else to come out and mow.

Horrible service, unreliable, rude. The first two times they did not trim the bushes or do any edging. They schedule us for Saturdays, then when we call on Friday (after receiving a "confirmation" that day for the next day's service) to reschedule future appointments after that next day, they cancel us the next day and say they will be there on Monday. Thinking they clearly did not comprehend what was discussed we called back to confirm they would be there Saturday, as they had scheduled. We were then told they did not have anyone to do the lawn on Sat or Sunday and could not service us because they do not provide service those days...?
Complete flakes, they just do whatever they feel like and they do not do a decent job when they actually show or attempt to do anything.

Armando's team of 3 guys were able to add two zones of sprinklers to my existing system. This was a tricky job since the two zones were across a terrace that was 10 feet high and spread across my entire back yard. The guys were polite and hard working. Did it all in one day. They did exactly as Armando planned from the sprinkler head placement to adding a new master control to help with water pressure. They also moved about 150 sq ft of limestone rocks and boulders across the terrace- not an easy job and I'm glad to say I did not have to do it. In addition, Armando noticed a massive brush pile on the side yard and was able to clear that away for us for a nominal fee. Very satisfied and received a polite follow up call from Armando to check with our satisfaction. I feel sure that if we have any future issues he will be professional and responsive to our issues. Couldn't ask for more.

Sadly, I hadn't checked the Google ratings prior to calling...apparently, this company has a habit of no-calling-no-showing. As most of us are, I am very busy, and arranged my schedule based on the appointment that Armando -- the owner -- had set with me over a week ago.

I've called and left two messages, and still no call back. Any contractor, despite their level of education or marketing prowess, who doesn't respect others' time in the form of a simple phone call to indicate they need to reschedule is definitely not someone that I will ever work with.

If you are looking for someone to arrive and actually do work, look elsewhere...

UPDATE: Since writing this review, I have received a call from Armando, who proceeded to apologize and say, "Well, I left a 'note' in the office for someone to call you, because it was raining, but apparently, they didn't do that."

Some may interpret this as an apology, but my take is a justification and not taking responsibility as a business-owner/manager.

I have used A-Affordable Lawn & Tree Company for several years now on various jobs at our home. We live in an upscale neighborhood with several lawn services working it. I have bid out jobs on several occasions with various companies and A-Affordable is always priced on the lower end or the cheapest. And, they do a great job at the low price quoted! What I really like about them is that they won't tell you one price and then write another on the bill like most (I hate that). They communicate with me if they see something that needs attention that will cost more BEFORE doing the work and expecting to get paid. I really like their expertise on our tress and large bushes/red tips etc. They service my lawn but they have also fixed my sprinkler system and cleared some major brush in the rear of our home. I honestly doubt you can beat these guys when you have small to major landscaping projects. I've tried in the past. Now, I just call A-Affordable Lawn & Tree first and find their prices to be fair so I just go with what I know is going to be good service at a great price! I don't waste any more of my time getting bids, they hardly ever beat them and if so it's only a few bucks to work with people I'm not familiar with. To me it's worth having the same guys whenever possible because I trust the service and know that the owner will correct anything that isn't exactly to my liking. I'm picky! :-)
