DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! TOTAL FRAUD!!! They are fraud! I’ve had them for three years and I just found out that I’ve been charged for services I never received. I called and notified them when nobody shows up for the service but and they said they’ll send a new provider which they did so I was ok thinking that they covered for the missed service not realizing that I’ve been charged for the missed services plus charged for the service requested again. Their excuse was I should have called the next day to inform them so I won’t be charged. This is an automatic payment it’s not gonna change anything. What they could have done is just send somebody to do the service free of charge because they missed it and it’s been paid for. I request to cancel my account and they told me They can’t cancel my account because there’s a dispute requested for the service missed. But I said don’t want any services anymore! Because I don’t want to be charged again. Why can’t you just cancel the freaking dispute request? She’s ( Naty is her name btw) like I can’t do that mam. I told her I need to speak with a manager, unfortunately there are no managers available. I told her I’m gonna file a lawsuit because I have the right to cancel my account if I don’t want the service anymore, there’s no contract. That’s when she said she’ll cancel it, so I said where’s the confirmation? She said I’ll send you so I waited. And I received an email that’s said exactly this “This is a confirmation email of the Lawn Mowing cancellation #6631748” this just states that lawn mowing is canceled! There’s no name, no account number, it’s should atleast state their company name. Like your account with Lawn Stater have been canceled on (the date). Nothing like that! So unprofessional!!!! When I requested again to try and see if there’s a manager I can talk to she told me again I can call the next day to see when the managers are available, they want me to call everyday to check and see if there’s any managers available OMG! I’m gonna work on seeing if I can file a complaint and lawsuit to get my money back. All I requested was a service to be covered for what they missed for no extra cost wow! Hands down worse company ever!

They have messed up my lawn so many times. I am sick of waiting on them to get it right. I did find another lawn tech but he was linked to LawnStarter. He was better, so I just stayed with LawnStarter for the time being. That worked for a while. Then a new tech took over. I started to notice they would cut around toys forgotten in the yard or just run stuff over rather than move it. I would get areas around the house with high grass or uneven cuts, and other areas were being scalped. One tech cut my grass so low his mower kept stalling out. By the time I noticed, he was halfway through the yard. Then he hit the side of the house with the push mower and I mean hit it hard. I ran outside and said, “what did you hit”? He looked around and said, “I don’t know, the house, I guess.” I made up my mind to cancel the service permanently. Initially my wife called to cancel the service and was on hold for about 20 minutes. The call center member on the phone seemed aggravated to be taking the call. After cancelling the service my wife asked for a confirmation number or e-mail etc. The lady on the phone got upset and said, “Whoa Ma’am. Your service has been cancelled. You can check the app, we don’t send confirmation notices.” That was on 28 May 2021. Jun 13th, I woke up to the sounds of a lawn mower cutting the yard. A different lawn tech was scalping the yard. I looked on the app and the call center rep had not canceled our service. As you can imagine I was not happy and called LawnStarter immediately. I was on hold for over 38 minutes and never got through to a person; I couldn’t wait any longer. Monday afternoon I called in and was on hold for around 45 minutes. During that hold time I called LawnStarter on another phone. This time I selected new customer from the options. They picked up immediately. I asked them to get me a supervisor to speak with because nobody was picking up the phone for current customers. They stated they could not get me a supervisor and unfortunately could not cancel my service. Then they transferred me back to cancellations. I was on hold an additional 47 minutes this time. Note, they disconnect their line at 47 minutes. I never got anybody to actually answer the phone. Save your money find somebody else. I have included pics of the actual wait time so you can see for yourself and just one of many patches that was cut bare on very thin grass.

They find who you need to get the job done. If I need to reschedule they make sure it is not a hassle and never charge me if delayed services caused my grass to grow.

My Lawn is cared for by Toni and his team. They always do a fantastic job and give the advise I need. If I have specific needs I text them and they provide quotes, my pet peeve is the trimming and they are very good at it. I have flagstones so I understand it’s tedious yet they are experts caring for the growth around them. I truly recommend Lawn Starter and Toni’s team.

This company is a scam. Their customer service is a runaround and they do NOT reimburse for property damage. They ignored my claim and even ignored the Texas Attorney General. People need to know.

This company showed up as scheduled. Consistently, and it was very good. They allowed me to keep my NBTX yard looking good while we had moved away and it took a lot longer than hoped to sell.
Selling is the only reason I cancelled.

Edit: lawn starter contacted me and fixed the damage to my fence. Please see the updated pictures. It took about a year to get my issue complete resolved from the date of the original incident.

1) False advertising: "If you are not happy, we won't charge you. It's as simple as that."

Requested a refund for the lawn service in the photos, but they can't honor it because it "didn't have anything to do with the quality of the service".... what? lol

2) Property damage claims most likely won't be honored

My crew used a riding lawn mower for a yard that was way too small for a riding lawn mower, scraped up the side of the fence and busted out a few panels. Submitted property damage claim and was denied because the crew claimed that damage was pre-existing and said "we didn't do it" even though I reported the damage minutes after it happened.

(this fence damage didn't magically happen on its own and i diligently inspected my property after every service)

My experience with their service has been exceptional! Their crews come timely and work with any special requests such as avoiding disturbing my guests stays for my rental property. They are flexible and great communicators.

We have had these people take care of our lawn mowing for the last year. The guy who was doing the job left, probably due to the shady business practices of this company. Since our regular guy left, business has gone completely downhill. They do not show up as scheduled and when they finally did, they caused over $150 worth of property damage to my sprinkler system that I now have to wait for repair and possibly water a huge lawn by hand. Customer service is horrible. They send you to their app to report problems and then you are dropped into a black hole where you get no response for 24 to 48 hours. I am still waiting for that response, by the way. I called and customer service cannot answer any questions. We don't know if or when they will repair our sprinkler system. The last time they busted one of our sprinkler heads, we paid a company to come out to fix it and they gave us a credit. Since this will be the last time we use this lousy company for lawn services, we don't want a credit. We want our sprinkler system fixed before Tuesday so that we can resume watering our lawn. Do yourself a favor. Use a different company. These people are not worth the cost. They are crooked, they raised the rates, and they are completely incompetent.

Brandon has been mowing our lawn for the past maybe year. He shows up on time he lets me know if he’s gonna be late or he has to reschedule and he does a really good job while he’s there. He mows my lawn so it looks nice. He weed eats around everything and he’s a very nice man enjoy talking to him and he’s polite has respect for my property. I would like to keep him and I hope he doesn’t leave the service thank you Brandon for helping me out keeping my yard looking decent.

Mr. Francisco provided superb lawn services to me today! I am very pleased and impressed! I highly recommend his services to my family and friends!
