Chris was very professional and thorough. He fixed some issues with our tankless hot water heater venting pipe and our main, manual shutoff valve. He had to do some sheetrock work and was clean and precise. Please see the pictures attached. Definitely will call on him again! The first two pictures are before and the second two are after he fixed it.

I highly recommend this company and Chris.I talked to multiple companies before this, if you were not responsive, one showed up didn't do anything. First, I want to say I appreciate Chris’s quick responses and politeness. He was professional and answered all of my questions.

Our garbage disposal started leaking on Sunday and we needed someone quickly. The companies we used before weren’t available until Wednesday and couldn’t give me a quote without coming out. I sent messages to several companies on Yelp and Inheritance Plumbing responded within minutes. Their service fee was $125 but waived if we approved service, which seemed fair.

Chris estimated a 3:00pm arrival but later texted that he was delayed. He didn’t arrive until 5:00pm. Once here, he quoted $785 to replace the disposal. Based on my research, average cost is usually $400–$500. I asked for details and was told the price included a 50% markup on the disposal plus a $350 flat fee. I reluctantly approved because our schedule didn’t allow us to wait longer without a working kitchen sink.

Afterward, I looked up the exact disposal and saw it cost $200 at Home Depot. Even with a 50% markup (which I also think is high) that would be $300. I also know that businesses don’t pay customer costs so that seemed really high. Add in the $350 labor, and the total should have been closer to $650. With cash and first time customer discounts, we paid just under $700, but I still feel this was significantly higher than fair market pricing.

I later spoke with two friends who own plumbing companies, and they confirmed that the price should not have exceeded $500. We also run a few businesses and I understand needing to cover overhead and labor costs, but this felt more like an “emergency fee” than a standard labor charge and feel like we were price gouged.

I called 2 more reputable local companies the morning after and both quoted under $400. As a consumer we would expect fair pricing and this was definitely not fair.

Overall, the work was completed professionally and same-day, but the pricing was much higher than other companies. For that reason, I personally would not use this company again.

I had a great experience with Inheritance Plumbing. The owner is a great guy who stands behind his work. He was honest, professional, and made sure everything was done right. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. I highly recommend him for any plumbing job.

Chris and his people were prompt and very professional. He was courteous and answered all my questions. He fixed the broken main sewer line quickly and he and his crew cleaned the work area well after after the work was done. I will certainly use him again when plumbing repairs are needed in the future.

We realized we had a broken pipe on Saturday, while we were hosting my niece's birthday party! I reached out to Chris with Inheritance Plumbing and he provided an estimated arrival time. He tracked down the leak in a short time, which we learned was due to a puncture from a bouncy house stake. He kept me informed every step of the way and repaired the leak in a short period of time. Chris did a great job of communicating, he was professional, very knowledgeable and he helped salvage our party!!!

Listened to explanation of issue and thoroughly checked out water heater. Great at explaining details of the water heater and what caused issue. Work was done timely. Will definitely use going forward for our plumbing needs.

Called Chris Duke from Inheritance Plumbing on a weekend for a ceiling leak—showed up right on time. Had to slice the drywall, but he picked the spot smartly, barely any damage. Kept it tidy, explained clear, took my questions, pointed out the issue, gave a fair upfront quote for weekend work. Fixed it perfectly. Five stars.

Chris came to the 1894 Grand Opera House Dec 2025 and couldn't have been a more helpful plumber in a time of dire need. Chris was incredibly fast to get to the venue upon receiving the call, and once he got in, he was quick and efficient. He is able to problem solve & fix anything that I have broken or leaking, and I will 100% recommend him to family, friends and any business and will plan to call him again.

Response was quick & easy to set up a consultation for my bath tub that had a slow drain. I'm in Galveston County & was offered same day & next day availability! Very polite & professional & doesn't leave you guessing. Chris with Inheritance Plumbing responds very quickly to messages and was able to come by within 30 min on a Saturday recently (he was finishing work for another client), but was willing to add us to his schedule when I really was just hoping for a Monday appointment. Chris replaced a tub/shower faucet, 2 lavatory faucets/drains and cutoffs and piping under the lavatories and did an excellent job. He called before arriving to let us know his ETA, thoroughly explained what would need to be done and cleaned up after the job was completed. Will definitely use him again if needed and highly recommend him to anyone needing a professional plumber.

I call Chris and had a Pleasant conversation and explained that I was going to put new vanity but I had a leak from out side my house coming Through my Sheet rock inside the house and He gave me options and And I took his advice and he did an excellent work very explanatory and excellent work. We had an issue with a leak that caused water to run into our septic tank, eventually filling it and forcing water out from underneath our toilet. We called Inheritance on Saturday, and Chris was able to come out early Tuesday morning. He did offer same-day emergency service, but we didn’t feel it was urgent at the time and were comfortable with the Tuesday appointment.

Chris arrived on time and stayed in communication, letting me know when he was about 15 minutes away. He was courteous and respectful of our home, wearing surgical booties while inside. He completed a full walkthrough and exterior inspection before starting any work. He clearly explained the pricing before beginning diagnostics and, once the issue was identified, walked us through his recommendations and available options.

In addition to clearing the vent blockage, Chris also identified buildup and a blockage in our grease trap. He was thorough, professional, and provided excellent customer service throughout the visit. We will definitely be using Inheritance again for any future needs.

I loved working with Chris from Inheritance Plumbing. He is very knowledgeable and responsive. I've hired him three times already for different jobs (gas pipe replacement, toilet leak, leak at the water meter) and he consistently delivered great results and worked fast and without interruptions. I also like that Chris is proactive and keeps an eye on what can be improved/fixed around the properties. His services are not cheap, but you truly get what you pay for and as someone who deals with expensive properties - I'd rather pay more but be sure that the work is done right. After a failed faucet installation of our own, I called Inheritance Plumbing on a Sunday evening and he came by on Monday and assessed what needed to be done.
