Constraction reviews in Southlake, Texas

Signed my contract on June 14th 2020 and was told it would take 6 months but we are now going on 9 months, and still waiting on my house to be finished. Original close date was supposed to be Jan 29, Then it was pushed back to Feb 12, then March 12th. And now March 26th. Our Construction Manager is very disorganized and doesn't even know what house he's talking about half the time when I call for updates. Or hell just ignore us and not respond. We check on our house almost daily and he will try to lie to us about waiting for certain things that have been siting in our house for weeks. Overall this has not been a great experience and I wish I would have went with a different builder.

First of all we been in our home since October 2020 our experience was pretty good .However, ever we did have some issues with a couple of things first we didn’t know that gutters wasn’t apart of the structure of the homes out here in Texas . And we wasn’t told that during the building process. Now when it rains our front lawn floods with water. I also walked the neighborhood and look at other homes that does have gutters . Although the styles of the homes are different in some cases , the majority of the home don’t have gutters. But the completion looks a lot better than mine . Our porch looks like it wasn’t completely finished and pretty soon we will have to replace it . I know back home you have one year to makes notes on what needed to be done and they will fix it. So I’m in process trying to find out wants thats protocol out here with Bloomfield and who do I contact concerning this issue. Overall great home to buy would recommend to my friends but you have to stay on top.

Bloomfield built a beautiful product at Prairie View Farms in Argyle, but I would NOT recommend them. Their salesperson was unprofessional - when the wrong wood floors were installed, she made excuses and actually rolled her eyes at my husband. I'm sorry, if you promise wide planks, narrow ones are NOT THE SAME THING.
We had a contingent contract, based on our 5 bedroom house selling in the summer. In May, she abruptly cancelled our contract, yanking the rug out from under us, causing us terrible stress. To add insult to injury, they listed "our" home - that we'd spent HOURS making all the selections on - for more money! Then to complete the cluster, our house sold - with the buyer wanting a quick close - a week later. So we were essentially homeless due to Bloomfield's jerkery.
Fortunately we found a better house, so it all worked out in the end...but no thanks to Bloomfield! -
We closed on our Bloomfield Home July 25, 2019 and have endured a far from pleasant experience. We love the neighborhood and neighbors, but since the day we closed there have been non-stop issues with the home. The first time we saw the home the outside AC unit shook uncontrollably and made a loud pop when it came on. We were told by Jeff Gibson that it would be replaced. Instead, a hard-start was placed on both units; which the repairman was against. Both units still shake and pop. We have 2 AC units that they put a band-aid on. They're also right outside our bedroom window, which is just lovely. The day we were handed the keys to our new home we crossed the threshold excited until we found a water leak in our soon to be daughters room. The carpet was soaked and the wall was visibly wet. Bloomfield denied the leak. After several hours of arguing later, they finally decided to repair the issue. Next, several cracks in drywall have been repaired multiple times and are still cracked today. Instead of repairing their trades installer filled the cracks with caulk. The master shower leaks every time it's used. The products this company uses are discounted, damaged, material that they try and cover up with paint or caulking and then charge the customer the max amount. At this time we still have several issues with the workmanship of our home that have not been addressed and the repairs that have been completed need to be correctly repaired. My wife and I have missed several days of work and used countless vacation days to meet with contractors that said they would be at our home at 9am in the morning but then arrive after 2pm. On more than one occasion, they wouldn't show up at all. The experience that I share with whomever reads this review isn't what a hardworking American deserves from a homebuilder. If you want a quality home stay away from Bloomfield, learn from our mistake. They will not treat you with respect or even as a customer. I have been working with a Service Manager by the name of Carl Miller for close to a year now to resolve all the issues. When it came time to take care of the customer and make sure the job was completed correctly he advised me that, " It isn't my fault you're OCD" and, "I didn't build your F---ING house" Let me remind you that Carl works for Bloomfield Homes but doesn't stand behind his company. This is our first new house we have ever owned and to us it was a lot of money. We chose to buy brand new because it would be turn-key ready and not have the stress of having to make repairs. Now we have to stress over whether or not our AC will last, having mis-matched paint and leaky showers. We are very disappointed

UPDATE MAY 2022:
We have now reached out to the VP of sales. He basically said other builders must "do a better job than us scheduling things." What kind of explanation is that? We were told in the beginning of May that one of the main delays is HVAC. We now have HVAC installed and but Bloomfield is still saying closing maybe in July 2022. Again, I cannot stress this enough. Do not go with Bloomfield, pick ANYONE else.
We signed our contract with Bloomfield in March 2021. Here we are May 2022 and we are still not closing. The project managers are doing a poor job of managing the homes being built. When asked what the delay is, it's always "the whole industry" is delayed. If that were the case, then why can other builders finish houses faster than Bloomfield? Are other builders not using HVACS in their builds? Other homes being built that are not under contract are closer to being built than those that are under contract. I hope to receive some answers or results soon. My family and I will literally be homeless by the end of this month th because our house was originally due to close end of December beginning of Jan. It's now May and we are now being told ot will JULY before we could MAYBE close?? -
The 2300’ of our Bloomfield Carolina is perfect for us. We’ve already had an engagement party for 50 and the open floor plan kept the party lively and happy in the naturally flowing living areas and the 11’ ceilings enlarged the space. Since you can view plenty on the web or go see one, I’ll review our interactions with Bloomfield. We had 6 points of contact including the sales assistant, sales person, design assistant, VP of sales, construction supervisor, and closer. All individuals were very personable and accommodating, meeting needs in an exemplary way with timeliness and creativity. They kept communications very open and allowed for corrections and changes along the way with professionalism. The process of building a home entail a thousands of details such that you can’t expect perfection, and it wasn’t perfect, but it has been reasonably close, and things that need attention are attended to in a timely fashion with consistency in friendliness and professionalism. If this is my last home, I am completely satisfied so far. If it is not my last home, I would buy another Bloomfield. What a lot of home for the money!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS.
Zero accountability from construction manager from the beginning of the build. Poor craftsmanship all around. There is no quality control (at least not this subdivision - Lonestar Heights, Mansfield)
Example: Toilet installed crooked, so we asked to be repaired/adjusted. Response was "we can't fix it, that's normal"
Warranty is poorly managed (or at all). You submit a request via website and it goes to a black hole. No one is keeping track of anything. People show up for repairs without calling ahead. Zero ownership and no one is held accountable for the quality of work and warranty requests. No updates throughout the process. Bloomfield should hire a real project manager to handle warrant request.
UPDATED:
Contacted Mike 4 days ago. No follow through is the company culture.
UPDATED 6/11/21:
Mike doesn't exist. Still dealing with a long list of warranty items that they have no clear view of the status for each one.
UPDATED 8/29/21:
After 18 months in our house, Bloomfield still hasn't completed all of the warranty items. No one is holding the warranty manager accountable. No one is holding the contractors accountable. You won't get to talk to anyone in upper management. -
Dear Bloomfield Homes,
I'm very dissatisfied with the purchase of the 5 bedroom 4 bath home in Kentsdale Farm. I have several warranty issues. I have not been in my home a year. I'm not going into the minor but major issues I have, but my MAJOR issue is my hardwood floors. I cannot believe my floors are cracking and coming up. I can't walk without shoes or I might get a splinter. I have a crack in the foundation that coincide with the floor. This is not acceptable. You guys had someone come out and fix the floor in my office and at that time the flooring guy said I had moisture under my entire AREA WITH THE HARD WOOD. You later came back with a different floor guy and said it was only in my office. Well, I guess that was not the case. The floor is horrible. I've ask that my floors be replaced. This is going to be such an inconvenience for me and my family because I know the floors have to sit and acclimate. So we would have to get a hotel at the cost of Bloomfield. My husband is disable and is in a wheel chair. He need 24 hour care. If this could have been handled months ago when the first floor man said there was a problem, I would have understood but now I would like to have this situation handled ASAP. Our dream home has turned into a piss poor built home. And there are other issues I just don't feel like writing about..
Thank you

We recently purchased a Bloomfield home in Paloma Creek. Leslie Tyson was a wonderful salesperson and Linda was super patient and helpful as we debated over our color selections. As is turns out, we ended up switching homes (another Bloomfield) at the last minute, but could not be happier with our new home. The whole experience was great, from the beginning to end. Leslie always made time for us, no matter how busy she was, and was prompt to accommodate our wishes, no matter how small. The builder, Bill Cook, accompanied us on our walkthrough and was looking as carefully for items that needed attending as we were. Any small imperfections were immediately fixed within days. I've never had a home buyer experience so pleasant, and I would recommend this builder and community to anyone interested.

I had been in touch with the community manager in euless jerry Hobbs a week before I was to arrive in euless from a 30 miles driving; he had told he he was off Thursday n Friday n that he would be at the location Saturday for special pricing on wisteria model; after driving 30 miles; I arrived to the model home in Griffith parc; did not see the salesman at the location; texted him; still no response; even after one hour no response after touring the model; I then texted I'm leaving; still no response; once I came back home; this is when he texted back saying he was w a buyer w a different community and asked me to come either today o tmr; I then replied back saying I did not like the community not the homes; he replied saying it was a rude comment and I did not have to say that n so on;
This is how it turned out; his attitude is very rude and does not give a damn about the customers and the way he responded back to me; I hope the corporate office takes an action against him and replaces him for someone who can do a better job in terms of communications with the customer;
I will lotf of friends who are in the market of buying a home; I will definitely spread the rude commmunications with a buyer -
I was so excited with my first home in, but we had so many problem with Bloomfields projector manager Jason Wynns. He did not take responsibility for my home. He was careless about what I pointed out and needed to be repaired.
The day we walkthroughs was more than 1 week before out closing day. We blue taped on the walk need to repair the texture and paint which he said really easy to fix. Unfortunately, he did not have any final walkthroughs after that. we decided to stop by the house the day before closing date then wait for him to come back and point out things that were not fixed. He kept saying it could be repaired in couple hours. He sure everything would be okay when we closed and moved the next date. When I moved in, the taped were removed without repairing. no words can describe my feeling. Terrible. I keep dealing with them until now and they have not repaired what I pointed out. It was waste time to wait for them to come everyday without repair what I pointed out and dealing with projector manager. I'm not satisfied with my new home!!!
I am not recommend anyone I know to go with Bloomfields as Stress, depressed, and terrible service -
Bought a house from a project manager with Bloomfield homes, within one month we found moldi in the side room of the shop. Reached out as it had obviously been repaired and hidden to pass inspection. Was told the house was sold as is and are left with a hefty bill to get the issue fixed along with countless other issues in the house.

Dissatisfied! We been in our home for 5 years and 5 years we have had issues. How is it that the evaporator coil is leaking? To the point we have to pay out of pocket. Since the first year been complaining about the cracks in the driveway and garage to only be told that is normal. Now the cracks are even worse and more. there are cracks in the house where during the warranty you sent people to patch and not fix. So guess what? the same places is still an issue and even worse. How is it we had to replace the stove top 1 year in because it cracked due how the builder cut the piece to hold in place to big, but no one told us. When i call about the A/c which should be in warranty, to only be told Bloomfield only has a 2 year warranty! Horrible! Horrible

I purchased my house May 13, 2023 and have had multiple gas leaks. Bloomfield denied me the right to live in my home while still paying my mortgage, due to their negligence and ownership of there really being a gas leak in the HVAC system. I had to seek medical attention after the encounter on July 26, 2023 because of this. I have since had another gas leak this past Monday, November 4, 2024 which landed me in the ER with traces of Natural Gas in my blood. This is a Homebuilder that I trusted but, NOT ANYMORE!!!

Had a problem with a roof leak when we first built our home and the problem resurfaced; nonetheless, Bloomfield warranty department sent someone out and the problem has permanently been resolved. Thanks Bloomfield!

I have had a good experience with Bloomfield Homes. Anytime something has been wrong I have been able to put in a warranty claim and David F. has been right there for me getting everything in order so everything gets repaired. I Have never had to remind David and he follows up regularly with me. There is never a perfect build and as time goes on you notice things but I really appreciate David F. For all the work he has done.

I cannot express my gratitude and the attentiveness received by Bloomfield Homes. Jacques Rondeau was always available and responsive to our concerns. Anthony Verdier explained everything during the walk through and is very knowledgeable. I’m very happy with their support and the communication received. Thank you for everything and look forward to many years at my new home

We purchased a brand new home from this builder just 9 months ago, and we have had constant issues ever since. Things are breaking every other week from poorly finished surfaces to more serious concerns. It’s extremely disappointing for a newly built house that was supposed to be move-in ready.
When I contacted the corporate office to raise my concerns, I was met with rudeness and zero accountability. Instead of listening or offering real help, I was simply told to “call the warranty people” no empathy, no ownership.
For a company that sells new homes, I expected better workmanship and customer service. If you’re thinking about buying from them, be prepared to spend time chasing down repairs and dealing with unhelpful responses. -
My husband Mike and I decided upon a Bloomfield home in Midlothian. Their houses seem to offer value and they had homes available that met our timeline and preferences. As with any new purchase, you would prefer that no warranty work be needed, but I don't think that is realistic when purchasing a home.
We have been working with Service Manager David Franco. He has been excellent in reaching back to us in a timely manner and seeing that scheduled repairs are followed through to completion. Working with David has de-stressed the warranty process. -
I would not recommend Bloomfield warranty employees are so unprofessional, I have had a water liking and they will not fix the issue until they see a pound or sea for 24 hrs that is in their warranty doc, meantime I am paying $280 dollars of water bill I regret buy a home with this company, office manager is rude as well. Don’t buy a home with this company so many issuing a with pluming
