I sent a email during the night and it was answered early and there was someone at our home within 30 minutes. The young man was wonderful and had us up and running again very quickly. The price was surprisingly reasonable and his number is the one we will be calling in the future. Thank you Nick

As a commercial property manager, the hardest thing to find is a vendor who answer their phone, speaks to you respectfully, and is prompt about dealing with your issue. I was never shrugged off, told "we'll get to it when we can", or treated poorly. These guys know what they're doing, and they'll get it done. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Company. Arrived on time, worked with us on schedule. The workers were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. The installed an entirely new ac in our house and we couldnt be happier with the. Will use them on all future ac work.

My AC went out and Nick fixed it that same day. The capacitor went out and he replaced it and checked the whole system at the same time for the same low price. He was very responsive, professional, and affordable. Thank you, Nick.

After getting quotes from 3 other A/C companies we choose 3M. They were not the least expensive, but they are the best. We went with the Amana system w/ wifi thermostat and could not be happier.

I think the review really starts after the sale. Our drain clogged and Nick and team responded. After leaving a message we got a call back within a 20 min and set an appointment for the next AM to check it out. They arrived as planned and resolved the issue.

#1 Heating & Air service company in east Texas as far as I’m concerned. Have used several others in the area and no one has provided the level of service like 3M Refrgeration. Recently had an issue that another AC company in the area could not resolve after several visits over a 6 week period and over $800 in charges. Nick and his team diagnosed and took care of the problem fast and did a great job. These guys are the best I’ve worked with. Save yourself some trouble and call these guys first!

Thank you Nick and 3M for saving the day. My mom is going through chemotherapy and radiation right now and even in this cooler weather we keep the a/c on for her because it helps her not to be sick. So when the unit went out this Saturday night I was afraid no one could do the repairs that evening.
I called around and had no luck. I saw the 3M website on google and that they were 24 hours so I gave it a shot. Nick said that he would be there in less than an hour even though it was already late on Saturday. He came out and stayed till almost midnight to get the job done. The most surprising thing of all was the price. I thought there would be a weekend charge or some after hours fee but that was not the case. Their price was very fair and reasonable for my repair. Nick I just want to say thank you again for taking care of my mama, you earned my business sir.

I called on a Monday after 6 p.m., left a voicemail, and Nick called back within 10 minutes and helped schedule an appointment for the next morning. Not only that, but he offered many suggestions on how to get through the night with no A/C. They showed up promptly on time, diagnosed the issue, and had it fixed ASAP. Their service calls are as cheap as you'll find and they are very respectful. Highly recommend!

Update to previous, 3 years ago they were amazing, for the last year they have been terrible, no call backs on problems at all. I wound up going to a new company who is way more responsive and returns my calls.

i called and left a voice mail for Nick to help me with a broken air conditioner after Googling what "might be wrong and how to fix it." Nick called me back and gave me an ETA and showed up at the time he estimated, diagnosed the issues, and FIXED it within an hour!!! He and is coworker were courteous and respectful of my home and my children's space. I used his service over a year ago for maintenance service and I should have written a review about how knowledgeable he was at that time, but life happened and I never got around to it. I will solicit his service for all of my AC needs, including new construction!!

Not enough stars for this company.!!!!!!!! I called first thing this morning to get a service call in for my heater in the house that we just moved in to. Wasn't expecting a call back so quick, but not only did that happen, but they also came earlier than originally scheduled. Nick was AWESOME and explained everything to me. My heater is running super and was in great condition per his inspection. He went way above and beyond to assist with all my questions. Price for the service call was very reasonable!! I will be recommending this company to any one who needs heat and air HVAC service!!! Thanks for a job well done. Support local business!!!!

I was so disappointed! I had done my due diligence in research and read all the wonderful reviews on here and was really looking forward to doing business with this company. I talked to Nick who seemed very pleasant, and he reassured me he could come out and look over and charge our mini split. I talked to him twice over the phone we exchanged contact information, and set a time and date. I took off a day of work to wait for their service. The time came and went no show. After I waited 3hrs passed due time I tried to call, no answer, left a message with Nick and Toby both. No answer nor return call. 6hrs after due time tried to call again, nothing. 8hrs after due time call again, nothing. No show, no call and non responsive to the 2 voicemails I left. I had such high hopes seeing the reviews but this was hopeless. Now I’m back to square one.

UPDATE 11/1/2024: Evaporator coil finally bit the dust. Again, instead of pushing for an entire system replacement, they were able to order me a new evaporator coil and just replace the old one, which might not last as long but saved me a ton of money. They even helped me set up my new thermostat. By "helped" I mean they did it and I watched. I continue to stand behind my 5-star rating for this company.

6/17/2023: Great experience. We used 3M to relocate our current attic HVAC system and install several ductless split systems. They were very helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. During the planning phase, they let us know what all our options were and what they thought was best (as opposed to the other companies I talked to that seemed to think the only option was scrapping our entire current system and installing brand new bigger better equipment--yikes). Their crew is top notch also--one of them has a beautiful singing voice and serenades everyone periodically throughout the day. All in all they are a great company to work with.

Toby takes care of all my AC needs within a week of me calling him. He stays in good communication and gets my AC back up and running before my house has a chance to warm up!

Nick Mead and his crew have always be very helpful. They have installed and worked on our 2 houses. Everything they have done over the years has been reasonably priced and always friendly service!! I recommend to anyone the SS area for HVAC needs! Best HVAC repair In town and i was in the business for years in the past!! Again Nick and his team are amazing and they back up their warranties and work!! 3m Refrigeration will always be my go to for anthying HVAC!!

These guys are wonderful! No matter how busy they are they are always able to fit us in to their busy schedule! Over the summer our ac quit on us and while waiting for a replacement they lent us a portable unit just to keep us comfortable. Today my kids called and said they were freezing and the heat wouldn’t work. I called them and they fit us in and came by and had in fixed in 15 minutes. They are great! Would recommend to everyone!

A little backstory… Our inside and outside AC units were both brand new, installed in June 2024 by Air Control out of Emory. During our home inspection in May 2025, a freon leak was discovered, and we were told the inside unit needed to be raised and the stand rebuilt because it was nearly impossible to fit the filter properly. The previous homeowner had Air Control come back out to “fix” the leak and recharge the system.

Just a week after we moved in (June 2025), we noticed water leaking from the AC. We contacted Air Control, and they told us they’d need to check their records and get back to us but we never heard anything further. We ended up resolving the issue ourselves and discovered the leak was coming from the back of the inside unit due to how poorly the stand had been constructed.

Fast forward to last week, our AC started struggling to keep up with the heat. This time we called 3M Refrigeration, and we’re so glad we did. They found multiple leaks in the line, had to recharge the system again, and ended up removing and completely rebuilding the inside unit because the original install had been done so badly, even the heater had been hooked up incorrectly.

All this to say, we are beyond thankful for Nick and Toby from 3M Refrigeration. They did an incredible job getting our system back in shape and running the way it should have from the start!

We had a great experience today with Nick at 3m. Nick came out on a Sunday, holiday weekend- response time was great! Thankfully it was a quick fix. I won’t hesitate to call them again next time we need AC service.
