Always helpful and everyone is so knowledgeable. From garden gnomes to garden makeovers. This is my latest garden redo. All the plants from arbor gate.

Great and healthy flora of all types for the Gulf Coast area, and expertise in multiple persons readily available. Just got help today on three issues, one of them insect-attack related (upon my Pink Muhly). They got a few of their experts together to look at my photos of the problem, diagnosed it, and recommended a product. These are my go-to people for all things landscaping and plants. To summarize: expertise, incredible selection.

We went to pick up a Monrovia special order.... wow. More variety than I've seen before, especially of yard decorations, swings, benches.. A really spectacular selection of pottery, two indoor shops plus of course the plants. One of the overall best nurseries anywhere near Houston.

Just found this place after living in Tomball for 8 years! It's just pretty much the best damn nursery / garden center / you name it outside, that you can find. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Trees, plants, pots, artwork, on and on and on and on. Definitely coming back here again.

Awesome place thanks to Beverly she helped me pick a nice memorial tree for a cat that had recently passed. Employees are super helpful and polite. Highly recommended!!!

Love coming here ! Their compost and plant food is a game changer for home gardeners. It a bit on the expensive side vs major chains but well worth it from their amount your plants will produce. The compost is actual compost not just giant wood chunks you find in the major chains. Plus their staff is super helpful and friendly. Dont forget to check them out on youtube for lots of great gardening tips

We went for soil and bought much more. They have a nice selection of herbs, roses, and flowers. If you are looking for yard art, this is the place. Everyone working there is friendly and knowledgeable.

This is the most beautiful nursery in the Houston area. Not only can you purchase healthy plants and flowers. You can get advice on which plants to buy based on your yard light/drainage. Truly, it would be called an experience, because they have fantastic garden areas to look at and have gardening classes. Sometimes on weekends these classes/events can make parking difficult even though they direct traffic.

Also, they have fantastic yard art, not cheap, but super most expensive either. We have bought a ton of glass art for our yard. They really do take extra care in carefully wrapping items. The glass art made our garden look so pretty and now our fence looks awful.

Plus, they are locally owned and operated. So you should visit this nursery for a wonderful garden experience.

This is the best nursery in the area, hands down. The selection of plants, pottery, everything you need for outdoor gardening is here. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the grounds are like a gorgeous park.

Just coming to visit this place is an experience in itself. There is so much to see, and little corners to discover a beautiful surprise. I rarely EVER leave without making some kind of purchase, regardless if it was what I actually came in search of. Today we discovered this wine bottle arbor “custom made” by the owner himself.

I love this place. It’s pricey, but has the best variety of plants in the Houston area and high quality dirt.

However, I have had a couple of frustrating experiences here. Some staff are amazingly knowledgeable. Some are not—but say they are. Most recently, I asked where indoors/low light plants are and was directed to a little house. I inspected a plant that was placed completely in the dark side of the room and it looked healthy. So I bought it, for $40. One week later, I was considering buying a 2nd of the same plant. I went back and saw that the plants that had looked healthy were browning and leaves falling off. I went and talked to a staff member who told me that these plants shouldn’t have been indoors and they were being moved outdoors.

Within 2 days, my plant at home started shriveling. I think when this sort of thing happens due to staff misinformation or plants being advertised & showcased in the wrong areas, we should be refunded.

This isn’t the first time this has happened. I’ve been sold quite a few plants as “frost hardy” or “perennials” that aren’t, and the next year, when I ask about it, a new staff member will tell me that only certain varieties are perennial or frost hardy.

I take responsibility for some of this…because I could be pushier and more persistent about having exact info. But the $41 plant situation—I should be refunded.

For me, Arbor Gate is still usually a 4-star place…but I do want this experience to be noted by the business

Most knowledgeable and helpful nursery in the entire Houston area. Stay away from big box stores and buy local. The soil, plants etc. are all specifically created and chosen for our climate. Their all natural "chicken poop" is the BEST fertilizer we've ever used.

I went to this nursery for the first time this past weekend and I have to say of the dozens of nurseries I’ve been to they have the widest selection of plants and garden accessories. The plants were really healthy and the prices were very reasonable. I would be in trouble if I lived closer. As it is, I’ll have to wait and make a day out of visiting since I live over an hour away.

I highly recommend this place to everyone especially locals.

Holy moly this place is amazing! I lived in Houston for more than 20 years and have never seen anything like this place. They must have 20 varieties of each fruit tree not to mention some of the most unique garden decor I have seen. They also give free gardening classes. If you have any interest in gardening whatsoever, do yourself a favor and go visit this place. You will not be disappointed.

I never do reviews , so you know I have to have been moved by my experience. I went to Lowes looking for potting materials and I was told twice to “ go to The Arbor Gate”. I went … and I’m sold. Great establishment. I have two passions ( fishing and fig trees ). The selection was insane and EVERYONE was nice. I went to but coco coir and left out with 4 trees , potting soil , and a great feeling. Omg!!!
Bass pro and Arbor Gate are my two fav stores.
