Our movers were fantastic to work with! We had a crew of 3 and they made quick work of getting all of our furniture ready to move and load. I would definitely recommend Wasatch Moving Company to anyone looking for help with a move or just a remodel where furniture needs to be out of the way!

The good: They were prompt and on time. Good communication.

The bad. Oh boy. I am guessing they were a new crew. They scratched and ruined a freshly painted banister, railing and wall in the old house moving (This was was done for the new owners as part of the sale.) a large desk that should have been taken apart as there was not enough room to move the entire thing up the stairs. They also scratched and bent this desk forcing it up the stairs.

At the new house they took a large buffet that was supposed to remain upstairs to the finished basement and put holes, dents and scratches in the walls of a brand new house. They also broke this buffet in the process which we didn't notice until the next day. I suspect they knew but forgot to tell us. They did point out the other damage. But they literally beat the hell out of both stairways at the old and new house. I now have to pay to get all that damage fixed for the new owners of the old house in addition to my new house.

Hopefully all this damaged furniture and walls are covered by the claims company. I hope this goes well as the claims company wants a bill of lading which was never provided. I hope the estimate will be enough. You also only get one week to submit the claim. So not only did this move cost me 4000 dollars, I get to pay at least 1000 to 1500 more repairing holes in walls and repainting walls in addtion to the damaged furniture. I remained calm throughout all this but I was and still am pretty irritated and disappointed. When I spoke to Eric about this he seemed to not really care and I had to ask for the link for claims submission after it was not sent with the final bill when I was told it would be. The moving supervisor on the job was professional and kind about it, but the company as a whole doesn't seem to really care.

The reason I hired "professionals" was to avoid this from happening. My wife's co-workers and our friends who came to help us unpack were shocked and said they will avoid Wasatch Moving Company in the future.

Edit: Company owner reached out and arranged to have the damage to both homes repaired and it was done quickly, so I will bump up the review to a 3. The claims company for the damaged furniture is a bit to be desired as they don't seem to be the most intelligent. But that has nothing to do with Wasatch Moving Company.

Edit 2. Back to a one star. They damaged over 2000 dollars worth of furniture and the claims company said we get 239 dollars based off the bill of lading. They base it off the weight and not the actual value of the items destroyed. Never use this company. Their staff are from the short bus. Too stupid to take apart furniture when it won't fit and make excuses like stairways now are smaller than they used to be. The house we moved into has a large and open stairway. They were able to get the damaged item back up the stairs without doing more damage. Find someone else. Ridiculous.

Response to the owner:
If it was my company and this happened, I would have probably discounted the move or offered more compensation than what federal regulations require. Would have gone a long way and you wouldn't have this 1 star review.

Excellent movers! Very quick and efficient while being careful of all of our belongings. Would definitely hire them again in the future! Thanks for making a chaotic day much easier!

Do yourself a favor, hire these guys!! They were very careful with my furniture, they worked crazy hard and were efficient. Very fairly priced. Worth every cent!! Moving is exhausting! No idea how they can do this over and over. Great job. Wasatch Movers! Thank you!!

Moving day was Wednesday 5/13 from 9:30. The move was from the SLC downtown area to Tooele. Right on time the moving van arrived - a huge van that would have taken 3 car parking spaces (with the ramp pulled out of the back). The driver simply backed up at an angle actually making the loading task easier as the ramp was now resting on the grass closer to the sidewalk. The two men applied plenty of protective blankets to the apartment doorway and covered the furniture pieces with blankets and lots of tape. There was a vari desk, 4x4 counter height table, an electric piano, a loft type bunk bed (mattress in a plastic bag), a water cooler, bicycle, an executive desk chair, and a full-sized treadmill. As a person experienced in moving many items were repacked in original boxes so this made things easier but the treadmill was very heavy. Not a problem for these movers - they expertly applied shoulder straps and went straight into the van with it. at around 11:30 all was loaded and we drove our vehicles to Tooele. The unloading was even smoother with protective blankets covering the apartment entrance. All they would let me do was direct where things should go. They retrieved their furniture blankets as they went. By 1:00 the work was done. Today I have assembled the treadmill and have walked a mile in the comfort of my new home. Thank you Wasatch Movers!

I recently used Wasatch Moving Company for a one-bedroom apartment move. While the office staff was professional, the actual move took much longer than necessary and there were communication and efficiency issues with the crew that left me frustrated with the overall cost.

After I left my original review, management reached out directly, acknowledged the problems, and provided a solution to make things right. I really appreciated the accountability and their willingness to address my concerns, and I’ve updated my review to reflect that. My belongings arrived safely to my new home.

These guys were amazing. I had a really tight corner near my basement stairs and they still got an extremely heavy washer dryer combo down those stairs and into place They treated my stuff with a lot of respect and were friendly and helpful the whole time. I was impressed with their skill and willingness to problem solve tough situations. Highly recommend.

Tracy was very nice to work with and very accommodating.

I had a major job of removing 15 large pine trees. Tracy was wonderful to work with and his pricing was very competitive. He did a great job and helped get our yard back in a state we could start replanting. Thank you Tracy!!

A great company to work with - once we accepted Carl's reasonable estimate, he was on time, finished the work promptly, and was easy to communicate with. He was able to give us knowledgable advice in response to all our questions. And I love the clean up done well.

Carl is a true arborist! He has removed trees for me several times. I couldn’t have been more pleased. He is a former wild lands firefighter so has the knowledge and skills to deal with any tree issue.

I had a huge cottonwood that was a high of coming down on its own. Carl was able to get it down and hauled out in a day. Very knowledgeable and professional. Also impressive watching him climb the tree so naturally. I’ve recommended him to friends and neighbors.

Carl is a stud. Our insurance company needed us to remove a ton of trees that were too close to our house. He was able to accomplish this while also saving trees that were an acceptable distance away. His knowledge as an arborist is second to none. Not to mention his exceptional climbing skills. I tell anyone looking for tree removal or fire mitigation to call Carl first. Great guy and great prices!

The company did a spectacular job on a not so easy task. Dropping a 50 ft cottonwood between fence and fruit trees. He stayed right on schedule and within budget. We can’t recommend them enough. They will be our new “go-to” for all our tree needs.

Carl did an amazing job with our gigantic sycamores! We love them dearly but they were growing long enough to run into our roof and hang into the roadway, so we needed a skilled arborist to trim some branches while keeping our trees healthy. He was also able to help with clearing out some smaller trees in our backyard and did a great job! He also helped us with preparing our yard for fire prevention in the dry summer and fireworks season, don't overlook his knowledge in that arena as well. All around highly recommend! Updated to add photos of before and after Carl's work on the sycamores!
