I had two problems with two evergreen trees. One had needles turning brown. They diagnosed the problem as a fungus and treated it. That solved the problem. A year later another tree developed a problem with brown needles. It looked to me as the same problem. The tree expert diagnosed it as bark beetles and treated for that. The problem was solved. I might have lost both trees without their expert help.
