Technician was great! Scheduling was poor. Expected you to sit home all day waiting for appointment set from 8 am to 5 pm

Technician arrived within the window and fixed the dishwasher in a matter of minutes. Mike was professional, courteous, and fair priced. Would hire him again.

Austin was incredible. Sears provided horrible service. I contacted sears as many ways as I could and was assured my fridge would be repaired on the date I scheduled it. Turns out no repair was scheduled and I had to wait theee extra days for my fridge to get fixed. I was so disappointed that there was such a horrible job done by the sears system.
I was assured by multiple contacts that my repair would happen and it never did.
It wasn’t until I called my original tech, Austin, that anything changed.
Honestly I should have gotten this job done for free. The service was non existent.
Austin is the only one who actually helped me.
Total fail on the part of sears.
I do still want my money back.
Horrible service to tell me my fridge would be repaired for three days in a row with no intention of sending a repair man.
Going without a fridge for two weeks was ridiculous.

Tech Mike was great. I can't say the same for sears home service. It is impossible to reach anyone live on the phone and there chat bot doesn't give an option for a live agent.
I had to reschedule with them 3 times over a 6 week period and they could nit get the appointment right. Meanwhile, my washer was broken for 6 weeks and there was no one to call. My home warranty company finally had to get on them.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. $600 later, a month without a washing machine, and still not fixed.
I scheduled the appointment, had someone come and look, and proceeded with the repair. Great. Two days later the part comes in the mail and the guy comes to fix it. Fantastic. Part is broken, so they leave and send another part, booking us two more weeks out. That's fine. Guy comes, "repairs it", doesn't test it and tells us to call if it's still broken. He leaves and we try it, still broken. So, I call customer service. We scheduled a 4th appointment. Guy never calls, doesn't even knock. I get a "sorry we missed you" text saying "call the number from the voice-mail you received to reschedule" (We couldn't, as this technician never called us), we finally navigate the website, and schedule a 5th appointment. Guy never showed up. We schedule a 6th, before realizing we should just get a new washer at this point before spending ANOTHER $600 to get it ACTUALLY repaired. I'm done.

Austin was wonderful. The Sears/Cinch system not so much. Multiple phone numbers take the customer in circles with NO way to speak with a human. The website has limited functionality and displays incorrect or outdated information with not helpful options. I'm still waiting for an email that documents my service call and what was done to resolve the issue. It would be nice for the customer to have a written repair history. Every service provider does this except you.

On a positive note, Sears Customer Service [real human] did reach out to me via phone wanting to know if my issue had been resolved. They we able to schedule a follow up visit with Austin.

My appointment was delayed 2 days & while the repair person was very nice, it really messed up my schedule. Also, the fee ($139) to just tell me that it would cost over $450 to fix my 17 yr old dryer was outrageous!

Honestly I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. They have been supposedly fixing my dryer since July. They order parts, but then say they didn’t get delivered so they can reschedule the appointment (after they cancel without letting me know) past when we pay the monthly fee. This cycle has happened multiple times. We should have bought a new dryer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This “warranty program” is a scam!!!!

I’m super happy with the service provided by Sears Home Services. They are my go to for appliance repair. Mike is great! He calls when he’s on his way and is always professional and knowledgeable. Thanks!!

    HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!
Bought an LG Microwave in March, Microwave stopped working in May. Worked with LG support to get someone out to repair as it is under warranty. The appointments were over a month out so we waited.

Michael came out last Sunday, June 22nd, and found the fuse on the back of the board bad in our brand new Microwave. The fuse is soldered on, so it's not replaceable. He said he couldn't order the board for some reason and he would find out the next day and let me know, that was 4 days ago. I got ahold of LG and he closed the call, so guess what? Sears repair doesn't have any calls open for me, so I tried texting the number he called me from with no response and tried calling it with no luck. Good luck trying to get ahold of this service center, it's all AI and you cannot talk to a living person.
The AI asks if I want to reopen my appointment and schedule another visit, then tells me there is no appointment available to schedule because it's not open.
This place needs to do better.

LG now has to send another company out in 2 weeks to re-diagnose the microwave and get a part....

To the owner who replied and told me to call the service number or go to the website, I just tried again and there isn't a human I can talk to. The automated system cannot find an open request as Michael closed it out. So you cannot assist me further apparently.

The tech also told me that there was only 2 guys running the calls and everyone was fired in the office and they went to AI for everything. This has got to be the worst and most frustrating experience I have had with a service company since you cannot talk to a living person to help out in this situation.
I give up on this place and will wait for the other company to come out and diagnose and order the part.

David, from Sears Appliance Repair, came to fix my dryer the next day after I called. He was very personable and very detailed explaining to me what he was doing and what the problem was and why. I was pleasantly surprised with the speed in getting my problem fixed from initial call to the actual repair and I felt a reasonable cost. I would recommend this service

Melissa H. Was very good. Friendly, informative and seemed to have the knowledge to do the repair efficiently. During the past month that I have been requesting repair service, the 3 service tech’s that have been here were great. I can’t say that about the people at 1-800- 4 my home. They were NOT helpful at all. The part that was needed took 3 weeks to arrive and the many times I called about it, there didn’t seem to be any help from them or urgency to track it down. A rating for them would be 0.

It was terrible. I took the whole day off of work because they give you a time window between 8 and 5. I could not find out any information about the status of when the repair person would be coming. I called at 4:30 because I still had not heard anything. After 5:00 I got a text saying my appointment was cancelled. I called the company and they wanted to schedule me again the next day between the hours of 8 and 5. Sears did nothing to make it right and there was no communication. I missed an entire day of work and still have a broken washer. I definitely was not going to miss a second day of work for a company with such terrible customer service!

My ice machine stopped working. A local repair shop diagnosed it as a sealed coolant system blockage, which is under GE warranty.

GE sent David out to do the repair, but David determined there was no issue with the sealed coolant system. Instead he determined it was a water valve and control board, neither of which were under warranty.

I had to pay $1,180 for parts and labor to fix it. However, after he completed his work, the ice maker still did not make ice. 4 days later, A&E sent David back out and he determined that he had misdiagnosed the issue. It WAS the sealed coolant system all along, as I had told him previously.

This was then covered and handled by GE at no cost as it was under warranty. However, David and A&E/Sears have refused to refund me for their misdiagnosis. I even switched out the parts and tried to send back the new parts that were ordered (yes, my ice machine works perfectly with the old water valve and control board).

I am currently pursuing taking them to small claims court for an even higher amount. Do not trust A&E.

Michael was great, the 5 stars is for him and him alone! Even after he finished, went to his vehicle and came back because he felt like there was a misunderstanding about what he had explained to help us prevent the problem from happening again. He was right, we had not understood and he went and showed my husband what he was talking about.
The scheduling process was a complete joke, I’d give that a 1 star. 8am-5pm is the window given and I was only ever given Sundays as an option to have a tech come. I tried to reschedule, my first assigned date was Mother’s Day, and my only other options for the next 8 weeks were on Sundays. Not how I want to spend my Sundays or better yet, a smaller arrival time frame.

Excellent service from diagnosis of issue, ordering parts and coming back for the replacement and repair of our washer. Highly recommend.

Great experience! Luke came and saved my week in less than an hour… now I don’t have to hand wash my dishes all week.

David was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and honest. While I’m sad that my appliance couldn’t be repaired due to age, I feel confident that David gave a thorough and honest diagnosis.

Technician never showed up. They canceled appointment stating we were not home. We were not only home but wife was in the front of the house when tech supposedly showed up. Total fail.
