Reviews of local pros in Sandy, Utah

We're so happy with our experience using C&R General Contracting. They replaced a 10' long pony wall we had on our main level with a beautiful cabinet piece that gives us so much more storage as well as a beautiful buffet counter space for our dining area. Install was complete in one day.

We also had them gut our master bath (yes, there was carpet in the vanity area) and install a pocket door for privacy from the bedroom. They replaced the shower insert and flooring with beautiful tile and a vanity that gives us much better storage. They were professional and cleaned up every day, it never felt like we were living in a construction zone.

We can't wait to find another project to work with C&R on.

The team at C&R was amazing to work with. We just completed a basement remodel with them (Summer 2025) and the results are fantastic. The team worked with us hand-in-hand for the entire project, helping us understand the full process, design the layout, and get a wonderful finished product. Our family is so thankful to have the extra space in our home, and we can't thank the C&R team for helping make that a reality. We will absolutely be looking to them again for any construction project needs.

Muy buenos

The paint crew at 801 Construction were hired to paint the exterior of my townhouse. They were apperently in such a hurry they broke two significantly sized branches off of my tree and I fear the tree is going to die. When I asked what happened I was told, "sorry we tried to be as careful as possible but we had to set our ladders." I would not recommend 801 Construction for anything, ever.

they never paid me for my work. Now I'm in the process of foreclosing on their customer's property for payment through the lien process.

Ashton Companies remodeled our building so we can have the Preschool we've always dreamt of. Despite delays and other issues that are usually beyond the contractor's control, we are so happy with the final product, and can recommend them to anyone needing a reliable and affordable contractor.

We started with Ben Ashton November 2019.
He was so personal and we really liked him and his sub contractors. However, a project he said would take 6 months took more than 14 months. It is not finished. Ben quit. Subcontractors not paid as they finished their work. Walls not sheet rocked nor painted. Light switches hanging from walls. Plus many other concerns. So sad!!!

Initially, Ashton companies was professional. However, it took over seven months (in 2019), two separate Forman, and several subcontractors to remodel our bathroom. A final walkthrough was never done, and several problems were resolved by myself and family. This company may be great for a large scale construction job, but don’t use them for small jobs, you are definitely treated as a second class citizen.

Dan is the best! Incredible service, quick response time, and he did a great job explaining what we needed to do to keep our system running well in the future. We had an emergency A/C issue on a very hot day and Dan was able to come in quickly, resolve the issue, and got us back up and running in no time. Highly recommend.

Dan was amazing! Very quick to get out on a weekend. Was able to replace my furnace when it went out. Dan lent me plug-in space heaters overnight until he could start working on replacing the furnace. He was very professional and did great work for a great price.

Their commercial heating and cooling service was excellent for our retail location. They repaired the unit quickly, restored airflow, and made sure customers and staff were comfortable again. Very dependable business for commercial HVAC repair.

The absolute most amazing designer!! I was told this company was the best in the valley. I’m glad I trusted what people were saying , Jon really took care of the entire project from start to finish. It was a huge remodel and they were finished in 8 weeks.
His sub contractors were the very best and I was so impressed with the expertise and quality of work performed.
I’m so ready for phase 2 to start this summer.

Very professional, easy to work with, and always on time.

My townhouse condo desperately needed a thorough refresh of style, flooring, painting, window coverings, stair railings, and a total update of the bathrooms.
My niece Sara was my personal guide and cheerleader. Sara found our designer Jon McGill of Design N Mind Interiors. It was the start of a wonderful and exciting adventure. Jon was great at discovering my likes and dislikes and then putting it all together into a beautiful cohesive design that represented me.
Jon was able to roll with my decision to remodel the whole kitchen during the first few days of demo! Within 24 hours, Jon had come up with a totally NEW design for the kitchen. It included a new layout for the kitchen, new cabinets with lots of storage, new appliances, counter tops, tiling, and of course, a new updated style and color scheme.
Jon scheduled the work and workers effectively and efficiently. Even though I had added a kitchen remodel to the project, the schedule was only extended by one week.
Jon has a 'family' of contractors and suppliers that are excellent at their work.
Jon's connection with multiple cabinet companies gave me a variety of options. I was able to decide on some cabinets that I love from the American Collection by David Bradley Cabinets and Kitchen Cabinet Direct.

Thank you so much Jon!

Jon is incredible. Not only is he amazingly talented at what he does, but he is so great to work with. He is kind, funny, and realistic. He helped us articulate our vision, poke through any flaws and then executed it seamlessly. I can’t praise his work enough. Would 11/10 work with him again!

Great company to work with.

Amazing company!! I called them last month for my kitchen remodeling in West Valley City UT. And they did a great job. Thanks

My kitchen design was well beyond my expectations. I doubled my storage, improved the flow, and function...and it looks beautiful!

Hands down, the best design team in Utah! Cathie and Jon will amaze you with their skills and creative ideas.

Working with Jon at Design N Mind made my kitchen remodel so easy, and I’m really happy with both the functionality and the look of my new kitchen!

These are the EXPERTS your project needs. Our kitchen is the best part of our house now!
