Found ABV Service great company to work with on repairs. Had refrigerator problems where lights went out and ice maker acting up. Tech mentioned it could be wiring but it could be memory board, while waiting for parts, lights went on and temperature was fine.

Tech was honest and said he would return parts, gave me some suggestions and didn’t charge me. They also worked with me on scheduling on both service calls.

So nice to work with company who has wonderful customer service and great integrity in doing business!

Quick and easy to make an appointment. Came ahead of schedule and fixed not only the problem he came to solve with our dishwasher, but also offered to look at another appliance and fixed that too. Very happy with the service all around. Will definitely use again!

Super easy. My dryer stopped working on Sunday night. I called and requested an appointment on a Monday, Alex arrived on time by midday Tuesday and was able to give me a few options, and then fix quickly. I'm happy with the value for the service requested. If you're in Maryland/MoCo, ask for Alex. I will use this company again.

So nice to have a quick response. I called for washer repair on a Friday afternoon, they came out Saturday morning for diagnoses and immediately ordered the part. Came back Monday afternoon and fixed the washer. Fantastic!!! The technician was totally professional and pleasant. I called on a Saturday afternoon and ABV sent Alex out Sunday morning (only about 10 minutes into our arrival window which was great)! Alex was very professional, personable, knowledgeable, efficient and neat. He was able to diagnose the problem with our washing machine. Alex explained the process of parts estimate, approval, and return for repair. I look forward to seeing him again very soon to replace the needed parts.

Alex and the group at ABV were exceptional. After using another service company and not having our Viking dishwasher successfully repaired we contacted ABV, they came next day and diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. They kept us informed about the delivery of the part, and same day it was received came and repaired the machine. Alex was very pleasant and fixed another issue with the machine.
They gave us an estimate before they ordered the part and everything went very smoothly.

In the morning, I noticed that our Wolf oven was not reaching the correct temperature, which was very disappointing as our parents were visiting us. I called several companies and none of them serviced Wolf ovens. So, I turned to the team at ABV because they are local, and their technician, Alex, was able to visit us within two hours. He immediately identified the problem with the igniter, which he had in stock and could replace right away. After the repair, he checked the oven to ensure it was reaching the correct temperature, cleaned up the workspace, and provided us with a warranty. I called Blue Shield Appliance Repair for a washing machine leak. The tech asked me to get towels and leave the room multiple times. When I returned, he suddenly said he “found the problem” and showed me my heater rod in his hand. He claimed the whole tub needed replacing and quoted $550. I refused. About 30 minutes later, he called back lowering it to $440. I refused again.

Something didn’t feel right, so I watched repair videos online. That’s when I realized the heater rod could not just “come loose” — it requires unscrewing the center bolt to remove. This made it clear the technician had taken the part off himself. When I tried to reinstall it while he was still there, it would not go in because the center screw was tightened.

Later, I followed a YouTube tutorial, reinstalled the exact same heater rod, and my washer now works perfectly with no leaks at all. This confirmed my suspicion that the tech was trying to scam me into unnecessary repairs.

Please stay away from this company — they will scam you. Good thing I know how to repair stuff myself, otherwise I might have been out hundreds of dollars.

I've used them twice. Same day service both times They fixed my washer once and the frig the next time. They have been very prompt and fixed my issues immediately. They always give me a fair price. I will use them again if I have another issue.

Blue Shield responded promptly, on the weekend, to our issue (our dishwasher door had broken). We quickly scheduled an appointment at a convenient time for me, right before the holidays when many other folks didn't have availability.

After scheduling, we had another issue pop up with our range hood. Blue Shield said no problem.

Samir from Blue Shield showed up *early* - did not leave me waiting around for the end of the window they gave me. He quickly diagnosed the issues we were dealing with and gave me a fair, transparent estimate for the work. After we agreed, he fixed everything on the spot incredibly quickly and was on his way.

Samir was courteous and respectful and really helped take reduce some pre-holiday worries we had with our dishwasher and hood having issues.

Samir did an amazing job repairing our dishwasher. He was fair and honest with every interaction we had. We initially just found him from a random yelp search but he will 100% be our go to appliance repair technician for everything going forward. 5 stars for all aspects of the service.

I hired these folks to fix my Samsung oven. They answered, booked the appointment and arrived all within hours. The appt with Samir was seamless and the service was top notch. He told me what to expect and what it would cost. He fixed the probably and provided thorough care. I would hire him again in a heartbeat - though of course I hope we won’t need that. Sam has been to my house in 2 occasions. The first time for the dryer, today for the dishwasher. This man is probably one of the most hobest business people I have ever met. He showed me what the problem was and even when I insisted (out of my iwn anxiety) on buying a new sensor, he advised against it since it was just dirty. Havent had a problem with the dryer since. Got the dishwasher goin today and even notice a mistake in the original installation and fixed it for us. Washer started right up and is working correctly. Will definitely use again and refer friends.
