I have already recommended Ed as an inspector to a few friends who are currently in the process of searching for a home. I’m a first-time home buyer and Ed completed an inspection on the home we purchased in October 2022. Ed was extremely thorough in his inspection, but what really impressed me is that he took the time to explain how everything in the house worked and what preventative maintenance schedules I should follow. He offered a lot of valuable advice and insights and couldn’t have been more friendly. I highly recommend Ed!

Fantastic inspection!! I needed a professional to look at my attic since I had some concerns about my older home, and Atlas Home Inspections was the perfect choice! Ed came and thoroughly inspected my home in a highly professional manner. He was very friendly and informative. I had a lot of questions for him (I'm a curious person) and he went above and beyond when answering them. When we finished with the attic we still had some time left, so Ed offered to walk around the house and point out anything of concern with the remaining time. I definitely recommend Ed if you need anything inspected in your home!

I contacted Atlas for home inspection for an upcoming condo purchase in Colonial Village in Arlington. Ed is really good at what he does. The rates are reasonable too. On the day of the inspection, Ed looked through every item in my condo carefully, and explained patiently what was good and what was not so good about the way the hardware/plumbing etc. was set up. He also shared valuable tips about how to care for various fixtures/appliances in the condo. In addition to getting a detailed report on the current state of the condo, I also learned a great deal from Ed! Ed helped us with the inspection for our recent home purchase, and we cannot recommend him enough. We've worked with other inspectors in the past, but Ed is by far the most thorough and knowledgeable one we've come across. He carefully going through every corner of the house. He took his time, didn’t rush anything, and made sure nothing was overlooked. What really sets him apart is how engaged and informative he is throughout the process. He walked us through everything he was seeing, pointing out potential issues, explaining what they meant, how to fix them, how urgent (or not) they were, and even how to maintain things moving forward. It felt like we were getting a mini homeowner’s course, not just an inspection.

Ed did an incredibly thorough and detailed inspection of our new construction home. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. During the inspection, he explained everything he was doing, taught me about the house, and found numerous functional and cosmetic issues. He also explained to me numerous things in the house which he thought didn't meet the best build standard or manufacturer's strict specifications. He explained that while the builder is not likely to correct these, they are things I can look out for in the future as the home ages. We did our pre-drywall inspection for a new construction home with Ed at Atlas Home Inspection. Everything went great and Ed's attention to detail is excellent. During the inspection he showed me the various issues, how severe they are, and gave me additional information. He answered all my questions and provided a thorough report with lots of photos. I got the inspection report in less than 24 hours. I was impressed with Ed's expertise, thoroughness, and professionalism. He spent hours going through every wall, framing intersection, penetration, system, and structural detail. He identified issues that I never would have known to look for: missing shims at windows, short squash blocks, mechanical clearances, framing irregularities, and important builder oversights that would have been hidden once insulation and drywall went up. The report he delivered was exceptionally well organized, with photos, locations, page numbers, diagrams, etc. It helped me address everything with the builder before insulation happens, and it prevented issues that could have cost far more to fix later. Ed took the time to answer all my questions, never rushed me, and genuinely cared about ensuring my house was built correctly. That being said, I highly recommend Ed for home inspections and hope to have him do the final inspection of our house when it's completed.

Home Energy Medics were efficient and professional. They took time to listen to and address our concerns. The work was scheduled to meet our schedule. They took care of everything from start to finish and left our house clean at the end of each day. The entire process was virtually seamless. The personnel were all great.

We worked with Home Energy Medics in April of 2023. They foam insulated our attic, sealed around windows and base boards, sealed the hvac ducts and added an additional HVAC return. The work was done promptly and very professionally. The small issues that did occur were quickly resolved and made right. I've waited a year to write this review so I could respond to the effectiveness of the renovations. We've had a signficant drop in our electric bills, especially in the summer, and our up stairs is noticeable cooler in the summer which is exactly what we waited. Overall, I'm very happy with the work and would recommend HEM to others.
