Ben E. performed our audit. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. We work from home and our dog was in the house during the audit. Ben did his work thoroughly with without disruption to our day or our dog! He involved us as much as we wanted, walking us through his process and answering questions. We look forward to getting his report and seeing the breakdown of options for making our home more comfortable and energy efficient!

Rating is really 4.5 stars! After going to Dominion Energy website, and selecting energy audit, Home Energy Medics came out and did audit, provided proposal, and work was done about 9 weeks later for my condo. Subcontractor did HVAC duct work, and Home Energy Medics did remaining work next day. Home Energy Medics crew was professional, and on time. I didn't always feel comfortable with communications, which is why I did not give 5 stars, however overall the experience was good.

June/July 2025 HEM tested our house for air leakage (we reduced it by 49%) by HEM increasing attic insulation (R8 to R49 - 513% improvement) and installing new flooring. HVAC airflow was improved by duct cleaning and sealing. Also new bath fans and water heater installed. The team at our house was awesome! Matt, Ben, Ben and Oscar and his crew were friendly, professional and worked very hard with each part of the job. Matt was great communicating the schedule and any changes with us. We highly recommend HEM.

Ben was fantastic. He was professional, friendly, and courteous. He took the time to explain his observations and what they meant. He made reasonable recommendations and was not pushy. I look forward to working with him on customizing the project to improve my home’s energy efficiency.

Ben and team were fantastic! We reached out to HEM because we had mysterious moisture regularly appearing on our brick fireplace that multiple other experts/contractors were unable to mitigate. Ben E. and the HEM team came for an audit and immediately identified the root of the moisture problem. Ben explained everything clearly and provided a phased approach that worked within our budget. The HEM team was highly organized and communicative throughout the process. The day after the project was completed, we could already feel the improved comfort inside our home.
