Conducted unauthorized service on my rental home without my consent or permission…This was in Penrose in Arlington VA in my single family home where a technician serviced my AC and then followed up to tell me they serviced the AC without permission.

Perry Aire Service was diligent in responding to my request. They conducted a thorough assessment of my old, non-functioning boiler heater system. They sent professional technicians who clearly explained the issues, recommended replacing the system, and provided a straightforward quote. Their approach was clear, honest, and professional throughout the process.

Asked them to come out to diagnose an issue with microwave venting. Turns out the solution was an easy fix (thought it was more involved, so probably my bad). I also asked them to take a look at dryer vent hood/flapper that was damaged and they were kind enough to take a look at that too. The guys that came out were very helpful and nice. I paid the $115 for them to come out - don’t love paying that but it’s fine. The quote I received to replace the dryer vent hood/flapper was $1600. That cost is ridiculous for something that I was told would be a relatively easy fix. I guess the job is too small for it to be worth it to them. If it wasn’t for the $115 I wouldn’t care, but if you’re going to ask me to pay $115 right off the bat, maybe come back with a reasonable quote or allow customers to put the $115 towards the cost of the work.

I have a regular plumber that I use for easy jobs like unclogging a sink and fixing a leaky toilet. I use Perry Aire for more challenging tasks. Ryan did a great job of replacing two decades-old cartridges in my Hansgrohe shower, a task that took several hours. Recommended for tougher jobs that require hard-to-source parts.

Ryan from Perry Aire was an excellent Plumber. He was very kind, polite & professional. He fixed my leak and helped me understand the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I’ve been relying on Perry Aire for the past few years for my condo rental and my own residence, a townhome. They always respond immediately when I contact them, they show up quickly, the prices are reasonable, all of their technicians are trustworthy, reliable and incredibly helpful. I posted the review below for Perry’s AC repair but want to update (Oct2023) that they came through again. This time they helped me with a plumbing problem related to the installation of a new refrigerator. They are easy to reach, quick to respond, helpful and with reasonable prices. Perry Aire is terrific. Last night — the eve of Labor Day Weekend — I returned from a trip to find my AC wasn’t cooling. The company that installed my AC wouldn’t come fix it over the holiday weekend even though 100 degree temps were forecast, nor would another well known AC/plumbing company. I’m very grateful to Perry Aire (Steve) for promptly returning my call on a Friday evening and for Rich coming out first thing Saturday morning of this holiday weekend to fix it. Great service at a fair price. Many thanks!!

I used Perry Aire for a plumbing issue I was having in our bathroom. After a few plumbing companies turned us down because it’s a jacuzzi tub, we were lucky to find Perry and the great service of their technician Brendan. He spent a lot of time helping diagnose the unknown issue that we were having with a leak, and we finally got to the bottom of it. He was an expert in his knowledge, thorough in his assessment, and fair and transparent in resolution and cost. We will definitely be using them again as well as calling them for any HVAC services.

When addressing our plumbing needs we have come to rely on Brenden Russell with Perry Aire. He is very thorough, has outstanding (based on results) diagnostic skills and does excellent work. He communicates well and is excellent in follow up. He gives us the comfort that we are receiving the best possible service.

Update: Perry Aire offered a refund on my dispatch fee in return for taking down this review. I refused, as I had used their rating as a reason to contact them. Their overall rating may be skewed by this practice.

Will absolutely never reach out to Perry Aire again. Needed our attic fan fixed - paid $115 as a dispatch fee that I was not expecting to be told it needed replacing. Took 10 days and 5 phone calls to get an estimate - of $2.5k! With no breakdown of costs! Called back asking for a more specified quote and got no answer. Perry Aire tried to sell me a “special sized fan”, which turned out to not be needed. A different company replaced the fan for $750 dollars (estimate same day, replacement next day) and did an excellent job.

On April 25, 2025, Perry Aire Company came out to service our building, The Heights at 21st Place, located in Southeast Washington, DC. We paid a $230 diagnostic fee at that time. Since then, the unit owner has experienced repeated delays and lack of communication regarding the promised estimate for repairs.

On May 7, 2025, after follow-up calls, the company informed us that they would no longer service our property due to alleged safety concerns, including a reported shooting and vehicle break-ins—none of which occurred in front of our building or were documented at the time of their visit. It’s worth noting that Perry Aire has serviced other units in this same building in the past without issue.

Their stated reason for refusing service now appears inconsistent and raises serious concerns. We believe this may amount to discriminatory treatment based on the location of our property in Southeast DC. If Perry Aire had concerns about servicing our area, that should have been clearly stated before accepting the job and taking payment.

Update- After leaving this review they refunded our money on May 8th.

Thank you Perry Aire Services for being a top notch company. The level of commitment & customer service shown towards their customers is phenomenal.

Steve is an exceptional manager who provided detailed information so I could make an informed decision about selecting a water source heat pump. Once a decision was made he ensured the item was delivered & installed as soon as possible because I’d been without air conditioning for over a month during the month of June!!

Lee & David, service technicians, worked tirelessly to ensure my heat pump was installed properly. They were not only two of the friendliest individuals I’ve met but they informed me about everything they were doing during the install. They actually took pride in their work as if it were their home being serviced. This selfless act displayed is priceless these days when other companies continuously attempt to cut corners. I can’t wait to see Lee & David next spring when my heat pump has to be serviced!

We were definitely in a bind that Perry Aire got us out of in a timely manner. Had a gas leak on the outside pipe leading into my meter. Very hard finding a company to work at a commercial site but Perry Aire answered the call. They came the following day and fixed the pipe which will allow me to open my business and my team to get back to work. And my technician Ryan was very kind and efficient. I am very grateful to them.

I will say that Perry Aire services is without a doubt the best, most comprehensive, professional and outstanding home service company that we have worked with in years! We had some breaches in our foundation where mice and even a snake had gotten in. We thought we had it taken care of by another company a few years ago. The first company did a lousy job and what they did do had eventually failed. Perry Aire came in with a thermal gun and pinpointed exactly all the breaches and expertly repaired and filled each one. They seamlessly replaced and repaired trim, did concrete work and insulated with a special rodent proof backer board. I just wish we had found them sooner. Mike and Tatum were extremely knowledgeable, patient and professional. Highly recommend them!

From the great customer service on the phone to the incredibly skilled technician who completely rebuilt our sprinkler connection, we had a great experience with Perry Aire Services. Even though the technician was delayed by traffic, he was still game to work late to complete the job, and we were very glad for it. He was super nice, and though he did extensive work inside our house, he left it so clean we couldn’t even tell he’d been here! We highly recommend Perry Aire Services!

The kind and knowledgeable plumbers, quick and efficient phone staff and swift managers, ….. and to top it off, the highest quality workmanship I have experienced in my 20 years in the DC Metro area. I highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I was charged $1300 for diagnosis, capacitor and contactor replacement, and coil cleaning. I have found no online opinions that support this being a reasonable fee. This is not a situation where I was charged more for same-day service; service was scheduled the day after I called, with the tech actually arriving outside of the 4-hour appointment window. The company developed an estimate with an assumption of 2 hours labor. The tech said it wouldn't take that long, so I figured the estimate was a worst case scenario, and I'd be charged less if everything went fine. Be aware: that isn't how it works! The estimate isn't even the bare minimum of what you'll owe, because they add the diagnosis fee as an extra charge on top.
I will absolutely update this is if I learn the price was reasonable. The tech diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, so I can recommend them in that sense.

This was my first time using Perry Air Services and I certainly will be calling on them again. I talked to the service manager Steve about my hot water radiator system"s problems. So Steve decided to send one of his top technicians Brendan. When Brendan arrived we talked about the boiler's high water pressure and one of the radiators exhibiting a blockage. He then found the water inlet valve to the boiler, and adjusted the amount of water pressure coming in from the outside and that corrected the high pressure in the boiler. Next he troubleshot what might be going on with the blocked radiator and finally decided that instead of coming back and using a cleaner solution for the blocked radiator that he would first try using the house water pressure to clear out the blocked radiator. This solved the problem. Needless to say I was extremely happy
