Had some issues but they solved it very very nice so if it all works out a big 5 stars! I will post pictures after installation.

Awesome local nursery that had lots of vegetables and berry plants that were ready to be put in the ground. Definitely cheaper then buying vegetables at a big store like homedepo or Lowes.

I contacted this nursery 6 months ago for what I deem to be a large residential project. I have met with the owner and a landscape designer. I am supposed to have a date for planting in just 2 weeks. I have yet to see a detailed plan. I am incredibly disappointed with the level of interest and responsiveness in a project anticipated to cost me 25000 or more. I would never recommend this company for residential projects. They are much more interested in corporate projects with larger profit margins likely. Move on and find someone who cares!!!

Great to work with...good follow thru...Eric and team did a good of helping us to select low maintenance but beautiful scrubs and flowers...will use them again, and highly recommend them to others.

We are very pleased with the results! The team was easy to work with and professional in updating our landscaping and stone walkway.

John Guidon assisted us with repairing a large stone patio that was improperly set by another contractor. We were very satisfied with the result and thoroughly impressed by the speed and confidence in which Richard, the site foreman, and his team worked. While James River Nurseries' quote wasn't the lowest I received, I ultimately chose them for the relationship and experience. In the end, the finished work was delivered on time and under budget which was a nice surprise. I will definitely hire James River Nurseries again!

We hired James River Nurseries to overlay and extend an existing stamped concrete patio with paver and build a fireplace with woodboxes and knee wall. The PM was responsive, the crew was professional and the price was competitive (about $7k less than next closest quote). After almost a year, everything is holding up well. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of working with James River to complete our back yard renovation. The landscaping was the last part of our project that included utility work, pool and yard makeover. When we first met with Doug it was apparent he knew what he was talking about and also took the time to listen to what we wanted. If he thought we should choose a certain plant he had evidence as to why. We shared with him our drainage problem and he assured us it would be fixed.

Months after the initial visit, we were finally ready to have JR install our new shrubs and trees. They were very accommodating as we continued to switch the schedule. They finished the work and made sure that that everything was as we wanted it. The decisions they made with grasses and small shrubs they made were a perfect accent to the large trees.

I would highly recommend giving James River an opportunity for your home. As they were at our home, we discussed some of their commercial work too. As I was driving around I took note of those location since several were near my house. It was clear they not only do a great job with a small project like my home, but also a larger commercial project as well.

drooping plants but amazing nice employees

Products are a little lacking, but it's still out of season. Everything should be full in a couple of weeks, after season comes in. Salesperson was very helpful.

The customer service is terrible in the garden department, I bought the Suv and trailer to get the 40 bags of dirt I need to build the garden beds my aging father wants to play in. I was told to pull up at the drive through location, when I got there the gates were locked. Finally after calling the store someone came out, with no keys to unlock the gate and asked if I could backup in a very narrow space, I tried yet didn't want to run into cars stopped. After 10 more minutes they finally brought my dirt out on a hand cart. Shortly after they finally opened the gate, a little too late.

I called Matt at BWS Landscaping for one of my customers properties in Ashland va he was quick to swing by and give an estimate, affordable and did a great job cleaning up.
