Our old water heater had had issues for a while and finally stopped working a few weeks ago. I contacted a few plumbers to give me a quote for a replacement, and I told the plumbers that I would like to pull a county permit for the job. According to the Fairfax County laws, replacing plumbing equipment requires a plumbing permit, but some plumbers told me they would not take the job if a permit was required. I ended up working with John because he was very professional, courteous, and willing to pull the county permit for me. On the day of the work, John's workers arrived on time and did an excellent job replacing the water heater and cleaning up the work site. John's price was not the cheapest, but I am very happy with his work.

John replaced a pressure relief valve for the main water line in my home. It was actively leaking water into my pantry, so he came to inspect it the same day. After getting parts he arrived early the next morning as promised and was done within a few hours. The work is excellent. He explained everything thoroughly, before and afterwards. John came highly recommended by a friend of mine. This was my first experience with his work, but it will not be my last.

Our old water heater was overly corroded with rust and falling apart, leaking under the tile on the floor and could've very well exploded in the near future. I honestly don't know anything about water heaters, who to contact about fixing or replacing one, but I always hear horror stories about the price as well. So I went on Google and found John R Plumbing, looked at many of the reviews from other clients and I couldn't find any bad ones at all, he is local to the Chantilly/Fairfax area so I figured he'd be familiar with the types of water heaters that are installed in the homes. I made the right choice, from the first call he was polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable and responsive, what more could one ask for. The price was also very fair, especially during these hard financial times. I sent him pictures of the issue through text and within 2 days because of the memorial day weekend, he came out Tuesday with his crew and replaced not just one but two water heaters the first one had some sort of defective issue, but they went out and got another and did an excellent job, they also had to replace some of the old PVC piping and connectors with some copper, excellent soldering and placement adjacent to the valves. The pictures I uploaded really don't do justice to the workmanship. Not only that he explained all the work he completed and answered all my questions about the job and also about other parts that may need to be fixed in the future. A really nice guy, great worker who cares about the safety of me and my family. I really wish there were more workers in general with his work ethic. We had a leaking shut off valve in our basement. I called a few plumbers and John R was the only one to respond. He came as quickly as we could have him. He and his helper were friendly, polite, and extremely efficient. He identified another problem that he could fix, but didn't pressure me. His work is excellent and I am very happy with his charges. I will use him again and recommend him to everyone.

John was amazing. We have a brand new customer lounge that seemed to take forever to finally get finished and opened. Then no more than two weeks in we have a sewer backup due to people putting paper towels in the toilet. What a disaster. Panicking I started calling around and John called me back quickly unfortunately it was late in the day and they were not able to make it out that evening, but as promised they showed up first thing in the morning and had us back up and running quickly. We're stay pretty busy with lots of traffic in our lobby. John helped minimize downtime and the rest of our team to stay on schedule. A thousand thank yous and pleasantly surprised when he sent over the final invoice!! John is now saved in my contacts and is my go to for all my needs and anyI can recommend him to.

John has done several jobs at my house and I am very happy with his work. He can handle both everyday and complicated jobs and he is always meticulous and professional. He explains his recommendations and will answer questions on what he is doing. His prices are fair, he shows up when he says he will, and he responds to messages as soon as he can. John was able to come out same day to help with installing a water shut off valve for our new dishwasher. He was very efficient and completed the job quickly. He also helped me fix my leaky shower head, which was very appreciated!

John was a fantastic find! We had a fairly complicated rough in and install during our kitchen renovation, relocating the sink, dishwasher and refrigerator, running new water lines, drain pipes and replacing a damaged drain line we discovered during demolition. His pricing is very fair and he goes above and beyond to provide great service.
