I was able to create an appointment for the next day. Terry was able to assess the issue quickly and get a motor within 30 min. We had a cool house in no time and for about what I expected to spend on the job. Overall very satisfied.

I had a broken HVAC system and contacted my home warranty company. They provided one contractor who came out and was unable to fix my unit, so my warranty company contacted Residential Systems. They asked for my credit card up front, without even diagnosing the problem or providing me an estimate for the work to be done (which in hindsight, I should never give out my cc #) They wouldn't even come out to my home until they had this. It was to cover the $100 deductible as required by my warranty company. They came out (a week after the initial call), and my credit card was charged that day. They could not perform the work that day because they did not have the part. They called the warranty company back and 'lied' to them and said they did not have access to the unit and I needed to pay an additional $65 for them to come back out since they could not repair the unit that day. They did not even mention to them that they did not have the part for the repair on that day. They claimed they had to access the unit through the drywall, which is totally untrue since I've had the same unit worked on in a different condo in the same building, and you did not have to access through the drywall. This is a classic bait and switch operation. They charge me $100 for work not performed, which was a "DEDUCTIBLE" (even says deductible on my receipt) and then try to charge another $65 to come back out. After numerous calls and left voicemails (they would not answer the phone), they finally contacted me back and said they would not refund the $100 even though it was a deductible and they did not perform any work at all. Mark, who I believe is one of the managers, was very unprofessional on the phone. I was even laughed at on the phone by the receptionist, Michelle. VERY unprofessional and unethical practices of any business.

I highly recommend against using Residential Systems Inc. Their technician gave me misleading information about my system, including telling me the blower wheel was defective when it was not.

Their dispatcher then told me they would not repair my system (which just needed a blower motor) unless I also hired them to replace the blower wheel and replace the ducting leading from the unit due to "liability issues" (at an additional cost or $800). The markup on the parts they quoted me was more than the total cost of having another company come out and complete the job.

After having another company come out, it turns out that not only was the blower wheel not defective, but the duct work was up to code too.

This company seems to me to be very dishonest. They were, however, happy to cash the check for the service call.

In Oct, RSI inspected my 85-year-old mom’s furnace and claimed that it leaked CO, that could cost up to 20k to repair and turned off her heat.
When I discovered this, I asked RSI to restore her heat and they claimed that “by law” they could not. I could not understand why they would leave an elderly woman without heat, especially since ventless systems produce considerably more CO in a home than the system she had. I also knew there was no way a new system would be 20k. After explaining this Mark at RSI still refused to restore her heat. RSI was also unable to provide the CO reading that they claimed caused them to cut her heat. When I told him I needed the issue escalated he refused to give me the owner’s contact info. RSI created a needless hassle and serious issue for my mother - I purchased a CO meter and it measured "0" in multiple places.

This company was forced on me by my home warranty. It took weeks to get someone out to look at the unit and then several additional weeks to get the unit repaired. Less than a year later (and after my home warranty expired) the unit was again not operational and they did not have any workmanship guarantee and told me I was out of luck. The company that I got to replace the unit out of my own pocket found cut wires and the unit in overall poor condition from the previous work that was done on it.

My experience with RSI was not that of all these "one-star" folks. My AC went out Friday night, I made the claim with my home warranty company (2-10 HBW) on Saturday morning (early) and I received a call to set the appointment two hours later for Monday between 10 am and 2 pm. The technician arrived at 10:45 am, right within the range. It turned out to be a simple fix of adding more freon to charge the system (low refrigerant levels = the A-coil in the furnace freezing up and blocking air flow). RSI knows their business and my technician was the "most recent hire" - 7 years ago! I'm grateful for this experience having read several negative reviews. For what it's worth. I hope your experience is as mine was.

This company is amazing! I would recommend them to anyone and we will use them in the future. Both technicians that were sent out were fantastic! After we bought our home we started having issues with are AC/heating system and the first company that came out never fixed the problem, after 5 times. We were so frustrated and upset about it, but this company made everything so easy. Residential Systems INC fixed the problem right away and had wonderful customer service.

Disappointed with their customer service and with the quality of workmanship when the technician checked our hvac system. He left the work area very messy. Also, making contact by phone is very difficult. While the technician was at our home, he attempted to call back to the office for information and even he couldn't get in touch with anyone for answers. I'm thankful we didn't have to pay for their services, it was a carry-over contract for a system inspection from the previous owners. Rather than gaining a new customer, they lost one by the poor service they provided. I would not recommend them.

I used this company several times for HVAC issues thru 2-10, never had any problems. most recent service was last Friday, the technician showed up at the beginning of the appointment window, very friendly and knowledgeable. fixed issue right away. getting appointment set up was also easy - Mark called me the day after I submitted the online request. will use it again.

They never called me to set up my work order, which was placed through my home warranty. I called and left a message and they didn't call me back. When I finally got ahold of them it was a week later (which is no fun when your ac doesn't work). They scheduled a technician to come to my house and when that day came, no one ever showed up. I called them throughout the day to see what happened and no one ever answered the phone or called me back to respond to the messages I left. I'm not sure how they are considered a legitimate business.

I made a claim on Monday morning with my home warranty company (2-10), and RSI called me within an hour and scheduled service for the next day. I was impressed with their promptness! The technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue quickly and was out in less than an hour. I am very pleased with his service!

The only reason I bumped the rating down is due to the receptionist. Frankly, she was rude. My appointment timeframe was 12p-4p. The tech arrived early at 11am, and I wasn't home. The receptionist called me, argued the timeframe window and literally huffed at me through the phone. If this had been my only interaction with the company, the rating would have been incredibly lower.

Over the last 7 years in our home, I have called in 3 ac service calls through 2-10 home buyers warranty. By far this was the smoothest and best service call.

I noticed my indoor unit making an unusual rattling, buzzing noise. Requested a service call through 2-10 home warranty. Did have to wait a week for the appointment, but was worth it. Mark called when Rick, the technician was on the way. Showed up as promised. Diagnosed the issue, answered my questions, ordered and replaced parts the same day. Indoor unit back to normal.

I feel most people are calling because their ac is completely not working and of course, on the hottest time of the year. They are already mad and frustrated as it is and when an ac company is called upon and the company is not able to accommodate and address the situation immediately, they get a bad review. You are not the only one with a malfunctioning system. Give the service guys a break, they are hot too. I would definitely request to have RSI come again. Thank you Mark and Rick!

RSI has done my yearly tune ups through warranty company since 2021 without any issues. They’re prompt, professional and all around great people.

We recently had the Residential Systems team come out during this heat wave to help us fix our air conditioning. They are such a fantastic company! They could fit us into their busy schedule and their service techs are always wonderful. We have an annual contract with them and have purchased our units through them as well. We highly recommend using Residential Systems Inc.!

We put in a request after noon on a Sunday (yesterday) and heard back the same day. Dennis arrived within our time slot and quickly identified and fixed the problem. He was professional, friendly, and informative. (Our angel!) Having a 2 year old in the home with no ac during this heat wave was scary, but thanks to this company, and Dennis, we are safely cooling off. Thank you, thank you!

Okay...I had a LOUD noise coming from the heat pump, the technician came out and supposedly serviced and checked everything out, and found nothing, so I took video of the heat pump to show them what it was doing, drew a blank, it was getting worse, the noise and the heat dropped over night to 66 degrees. So...I called in another contractor, he found a bad part in the outside heat pump, the valve was getting stuck between heat and cool mode, and also the heat exchanger inside the house the coils needed cleaned also he is going to replace the freon with new, or whatever they use these days, He showed me pictures of everything, very professional and Knowledgeable! He shut down the heat pump so it wouldn't damage it, and did something so we would have heat til the parts came in. The contractor took the time to take things apart to find the problems. I sent Residential an email about the findings, crickets...sad way to do business!

Payam and his team did an amazing job. I got a number of quotes and service technicians to come out before I found them and I felt like I was in good hands and that I wasn't being upcharged because it was "easier" on them. They have a high level of expertise and a wonderful demeanor with how they interacted with us the entire time, helping us through an AC crisis during a terribly hot heat wave.

Mike did an excellent job! He is very kind, and knowledgeable. He kept it real with each detail with our hvac system while still making sure everything was within recommended parameters.

Easy to schedule and was able to get next day appointment for hvac tune up. I had 2 units and I was told technician will be here for 2 hours. Should get around 1 - 1.30 and will take 2 hours. The technician came little after 1. It’s 2.10 now and he already left. What was frustrating was he said there were 2 air filters that need replacement. I said I am going to get it for you right away while he was about to start checking the second unit at 1.45. I returned home at 2 pm and he was standing out of the main door with his stairs. He said I could change air filters myself. If I want him to do it then it will be 60$ extra since he took his stairs out. Unbelievable. Also said that he is getting late for his next appointment.

He hardly did anything for second unit and changed full for 2 units in one hour and had problem changing 2 air filters. Won’t recommend due to poor attitude and being unprofessional

Very responsive, clear customer communication and reasonably priced. I checked around and their prices were significantly lower than the company that installed my original heat pump and they even beat the "friends and family" discounted price I would have received from brother-in-law who works for a competitor!

The owner answered the MANY questions I had before I got comfortable which model heat pump to choose. Also, I inquired about enhancing my heat's pump's capacity and rather than taking advantage of an opportunity to upsell me, they advised against it. A lot of HVAC companies I've worked with in the past start-off trying to upsell. The Ashburn HVAC owner Payam and the technician Mike, who installed my heat pump, have a lot of integrity and I plan on using them again for routine maintenance.

Integrity is important to me. I have used Payam’s services for 8 years now. He has always been honest and given me the best advice for my heating and cooling. When he tells me what needs to be done, I trust him. I will continue to use his services. His staff and how he leads them is what you want in a HVAC company. You won’t regret his services. Proud to know him. Every email, he responds almost immediately and solves my hvac problems within days.
