Home Services reviews in Chesapeake, Virginia

We've been with accurid for four years now. We have never had any problem with them coming when they said they would. They always call when they are on their way, so even with the window of time they give you, you don't necessarily have to be sitting by the door. If you have a problem between quarterly services (which is extremely affordable), they come right out to solve it. One Summer we had a problem with wasps, the wasps just kept rebuilding their nests in different locations around the house. Accurid came out the same day I called and took care of the problem. I recently moved out of a home and into a new one 5 minutes down the road. I needed to get a flea treatment for the rental I was moving out of. I called accurid and it was included with my quarterly service! They came out and truly understood fleas (I didn't have any at the time). They sprayed the carpets first downstairs, then upstairs, then back downstairs, and then back upstairs. They even sprayed the curtains! I would definitely recommend accurid!! The technicians are always polite and respectful!

One of my biggest fears is spiders. I truly believe if I find one in my car while driving, I may be in an accident attempting to jump out my car lol Needless to say, when I found several spiders in my home over the course of a week, it made me feel very uneasy in my own home. I tried some things on my own but the problem persisted. I was referred to Accurid and gave them a try. They came out on a Saturday morning, they were on time, friendly and knowledgeable about spiders. After treating for the spiders, the technician even installed traps. I was impressed with the level of service I received and it didn't hurt that my technician was very handsome. But seriously, I take my reviews serious & I'd recommend this company to every one. I'm still afraid of spiders but now I don't have to worry about them invading my home anymore with help of Accurid.

They may be great at killing bugs, but I would have no idea. They're definitely not great at customer service. They failed to show up during their first scheduled appointment - there was no phone call to follow up. I called the next day thinking I must have gotten the day wrong. Nope. I was told, "The work order didn't print." No apology; they just rescheduled for the following day with a 2 hour window. Again, they didn't show up. This time when I called I was told "the tech misread the time and missed your appointment." I told them I wasn't interested in rescheduling and I would be getting my money back from the local deal site I used. I've since gotten a call from the tech and the company asking me to reschedule - too late. At least I was able to get my money back, but not the hours I wasted taking off from work to wait for no-show techs.

We have been Accurid Pest customers for about 5 years. They are always on time and call if there is a problem. We are the ones that have messed up and missed a visit. The customer service person was very nice about it and so was the tech. He came back once we were home and did his job. The techs are always friendly and respectful.

We have been with Accurid Pest Solutions for five years and we have never had an issue with our Tech, Derek Foskey, he is always on time and provides us with very professional service. We consider him as part of our family. The office personnel, Jessica and Makeda are always pleasant and keep our service contract on schedule.

From a former long time customer, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. We used Accurid for several years and they effectively dealt with the known pest problems that we had. So I have no qualms with the company from that standpoint.
My issues arises with their customer service and their credibility/integrity when it comes to standing behind their contractual agreements. When it came time to sell our house and move out of state, an inspection was done on our home that identified severe termite/moisture problems in the supporting beam under our front porch. When I asked Accurid about it, they admitted to never crawling under the house to perform that inspection. As a result we incurred a sizable bill for the repair. After this they billed me $75 for a contract installment. I called to voice my concerns and was told the General Manager would call me back. After a couple of attempts, I told them I would be withholding our final payment until we could reach some sort of agreement (note: I was not playing hardball and permanently refusing payment). This one sided attempt went on for several months while living in another state. Never once did the GM call me back, as promised on several occasions. Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back was receiving a notice in the mail that they had turned my account over to a collections agency for that final $75 (now $90). I will continue to try to get this resolved, but at this point I am not hopeful. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. -
This company is great! Our tech Daniel was very punctual and professional. He listened to all of my concerns (I'm a huge baby when it comes to any bugs) and thoroughly checked and sprayed the inside and outside and gave me peace of mind. My whole experience with the company was great, from the receptionist to the tech, I truly felt like a valued customer!

I'd like to start by saying I try to give all small business owners the benefit of the doubt when there are issues with services I pay for, as my wife and I have a small business. However, using Accurid for a roof rodent issue in my bayside rental property's attic around May has been one of the most frustrating, unprofessional experiences I've had in my many years of being a landlord. While Dennis has been professional in tone and demeanor during phone conversations, his team only came to my property one time to complete a rodent service and never came back for any of the 4-5 scheduled (then rescheduled) follow-up inspections to complete/resolve the rodent issue. Over several weeks they consistently no-showed appoints and I'd have to call after the fact to reschedule. At first I was at least getting a reason of a tech being sick or them being short staff, but eventually I just stopped calling because they'd no-showed so many times. I left it alone and assumed they missed the mark and it was what was --as this sometimes happens with smaller and/or less professional service companies.
For some reason about 3 weeks ago I started getting phone calls from his scheduling employee for my "quarterly service", which I NEVER signed up for. In the 2 times I spoke with her I explained that they never finished the rodent service I paid for and I would like a phone call back to get that figured out before agreeing to any type of ongoing service. Since it had been a few months since the no-shows, I wasn't likely to sign up for a quarterly service, but I thought it was a reasonable request to receive some type of call and explanation as to how/why I was missed so many times AND a plan to resolve the fact that I had paid for a service that was never completed...especially since they were calling to schedule a quarterly service.
Fast forward to today, September 1st...I don't have any voicemails or missed calls from Accurid for a follow up regarding my request for call back from Dennis on the incomplete service, but I check my business email and I received a $105.00 charge from Accurid for pest services. I immediatley called their phone number and Dennis answered. He looked up my property address and asked if I signed up for a quarterly service. I explained the backstory and how they never finished the rodent service. My primary issues leading to this review:
1) Dennis didn't apologize, ask about what he could do, or even make a veiled attempt at trying to get something done asap to rectify the original rodent service that was never fully completed
2) Dennis didn't know for sure whether I had signed up for a quarterly service, yet still kept my credit card payment information from the incomplete rodent service AND, even worse, charged me for a "quarterly" service
3) Dennis informed me I'll get an email today (I have very little confidence that email will come btw and will be submitting a fraud dispute with my credit card company) with the payment refund, and it would take about 10 days for a refund
4) I NEVER agreed to a quarterly service, was overly understanding on the multiple reschedules/no-shows, and even gave them the benefit of the doubt on them just missing their mark on the rodent issue...yet the money they absolutely improperly charged me today will not come back to me for over a week and a half. How is it not a priority to resolve this ASAP, even if it means cutting a check, cash app, whatever? :|
As a business owner with some level of integrity I would at least think an apology and quick refund of a fee for non-rendered, non-agreed to services would be a top priority. Based on their other reviews I assume everyone doesn't get this level of terrible service, but at this point I also would not be surprised one bit if there are many other customers with experiences just as bad as this...which some of the Yelp reviews show. I should have checked Yelp! -
Derek has been our Accurid technician for about 5 years now. He is always prompt, courteous and provides excellent customer service. We had an issue with big black ants a couple of years ago. Derek was able to quickly identify that they were coming from a tree outside. He treated the tree, the outside and the inside of the house and we have not had the issue since. We definitely appreciate Accurid for employing such an awesome and knowledge person such as Derek!!!

Great customer service and very helpful in picking a tree out. However, make sure you bring cash or checkbook, they don't accept credit cards.

We recently visited Teeuwen Greenhouses and found the perfect tree. We received excellent services from Roger and helpful recommendations for keeping our Christmas tree healthy!

Every tree here looked perfect. Priced really well, better experience going here than the big box stores. Friendly helpful staff.

-
Had a bit of a hiccup due to miscommunication, but I can't fault them when everything else was on point. Their response time, precision, and professional execution of the task at hand was enough to motivate me to give them a great review after seeing the quality work done with the neighbor's tree branch that was hangin' over my yard 🙌👍
-
Highly recommend! Quick turn around time from estimate to completion, superior work and customer-focused service.
-
We had to have two trees cut back from our home. All the work was done with care they cleaned up after the work was completed. I would recommend Cut Knuckle tree service.

Pleasant company to work with. Trimmed trees and removed dead branches from a few trees. Cut down a small tree near the house and cut underbrush. Hauled all tree limbs off the property and grinded them before leaving. I was very happy with the job and yard was left clean.
