We had the privilege of engaging with Shaffer Heating and Cooling on 12/21/23. Initially, Teddy was dispatched to assess the heating situation in our home. He was more than competent and very knowledgeable about the system that we have, and he was thorough in explaining remedies to maximize efficiency. A comprehensive assessment was provided, inclusive of photos that were subsequently transmitted to another technician within the company. From that action, it was determined that the reserve tank on the boiler system was inadequate. Teddy left to retrieve a replacement, and upon return he introduced John into the equation. While it took a while, the two of them worked feverishly to correct the existing deficiencies in the system and provide heat for the home. Given that it is the cold season of the year, I was impressed with their tenacity in getting us back up and running. In spite of several obstacles, both exhibited exemplary professionalism in executing their tasks. I offer my overwhelming thanks to both Teddy and John and my strongest recommendation for the Shaffer service team to anyone experiencing heating issues.

The best and most trusted company I’ve worked with! I’m having a full central air system installed. They have been nothing but professional, hard working and clearly dedicated to the detail of the job. My house was built in 1930 so the plaster and wood they had to go through cost them a few blades but Jon knew this and his team was well prepared! Each team member was respectful and courteous. I won’t use any other company for my heating and cooling needs. We hit a little hiccup with the snow storm but they were prepared completing the outside work prior to the snow coming and inside work at the start of the snow storm. They will be back to finish it up next week. Oh, and they took out my heavy AC window unit that I would not have been able to move myself. Thanks guys! Laurie H.

Job complete! Very happy with the service Jon and his crew provided. They will be back to install an attic fan and assist with moving my bathroom vent that blows moist air into the attic. Terrible design from previous install.
Shaffer is the only heating and cooling company I’ll use. 😊

I had Shaffer Heating and Cooling come out after my HVAC system shut down because the disconnect had melted. I was stressed and worried we’d be freezing, but the technician, Carson, did a wonderful job. He was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly while fixing the issue. Thanks to him, our system is back up and running and we won’t be cold. I truly appreciate the great service and highly recommend Shaffer Heating and Cooling, especially Carson.

I placed a service call during the middle of the frigid temperatures. They came out quickly to repair the system. Teddy is a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable and honest. I feel like he did everything to fix the issues.
It ended up that the whole system was beyond repair and in need of replacement. I went with Shaffer's as they were reasonably priced and their professionalism was the best I have experienced in the HVAC world. Their installers did a great job. They minimized debris, cleaned as they went and then took the time to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Shaffer's Heating and Cooling.

My water heater began to malfunction for the last time. Jon offered me a repair option as well as an option to replace. Given the water heater’s age and condition. I replaced it. The water heater has had several issues in the past. I finally had to bite the bullet. Jon also offered a great price to upgrade my traditional water heater to a tankless water heater. Fantastic recommendation. This is a far more efficient set up.

My old AC contractor (who I had a service agreement with!) told me it would take 7 days to come take a look at my unit in the middle of July! I called STUD from searching google and they came out that evening! Turns out the capacitor just needed to be replaced and they had the cool air blowing within an hour! Needless to say I fired my previous contractor and signed up with them that day.
