We had the pleasure of working with Steven and Tatiana at Design Pro to have our master bath and powder room renovated in the fall of 2024. Communication with them and the crew was great, we were very happy with the workmanship, and the projects stayed on track and budget.
Work was completed as planned, and the finished spaces met all our needs and wants!

Design Pro Remodeling (Burke, VA) completed a beautiful, on-time, on-budget renovation that saved our marriage from a lot of stress!

In the current, tumultuous real estate market, we reluctantly purchased an older home that needed updating. Fortunately, our realtor connected us with Tyler Small (General Contractor) at Design Pro. Tyler is an effective, well-connected, patient, low-key person. Our renovation would have been difficult and stressful without Tyler and the Design Pro team.

Phase 1: Consult, Design & Proposal
Tyler met us at our Home Inspection for an on-site consultation. He listened to our concerns, scanned 3-D images of each room, then discussed cosmetic and structural options that would meet our strict move-in timeline. He quickly followed up with a proposal and schedule for a final discussion.

Phase 2: Construction
Tyler utilizes a talented team of trades. Our project required extensive interior painting, drywall repair, kitchen cabinet glazing, kitchen counters with new sink & tile backsplash, new wood floor laced into existing floor, wood floor re-finishing, carpet, lighting, electrical, plumbing, structural engineer for wall removal, exterior window caulking & foundation painting etc. Everyone on the project was polite, respectful and detail oriented. The job site was clean, and their work was amazing!

As commonly experienced with reno projects, we expanded our “To-Do” list as the work progressed. Tyler was flexible and accommodated every task on our list. Change Orders were discussed and presented for approval. We appreciated that Design Pro colleagues (Tyler, Sabrina & Isabella) were readily available to discuss and address project details and invoices. We only had one task that required additional work. Tyler immediately recognized our concern and found another tradesman to resolve it. The issue was well managed, and it did not affect our timeline.

Phase 3: Completion & Results
Overall, the renovation was quality craftsmanship, completed on-time and on-budget! The house looks like new construction. We had a wonderful experience with Design Pro and will choose them again for future projects!

Design Pro did a fantastic job adding built-in bookshelves to our living room and refreshing our primary bathroom with a new countertop. The communication during the estimate and design process was very clear, and the work was top notch. They're a bit more expensive than comparable companies, but you can't complain about the results.

Design Pro did excellent in preparation for selling our home! They worked with my Realator to get the flooring replaced, updated fixtures, paint the entire home, replaced the toilets and completed some other repairs. We received many compliments on the improvements and were impressed by the quick turnaround to get it listed on the market. Maria kept us informed via text with her good communication and Paul was helpful meeting us on a Sunday to review our to-do list. Design Pro provided great work, customer service, pricing and quality. Highly recommend!

We can’t possibly give Design Pro a high enough glowing review, but let us try! Everyone on the team was kind, polite, patient, skilled, and professional. Here is our review of our experience working with Design Pro. We bought a home with an unfinished basement and we hired Design Pro to finish it for us. They put in a legal bedroom (with egress window), a beautiful bathroom, a huge office / man-cave, a home movie theater room (to include a riser for movie theater chairs and a 100” HDTV mounted on the wall), and a small concessions room for popcorn, soda, and candy. Our project manager was Andy Robison. Andy was always so responsive and kind. Design Pro is truly lucky to have him. The way Design Pro works, from what we saw, was as follows. Design Pro has various “teams”. A plumbing team, a landscape team, an electric team, a HVAC team, a tile team, a welding team, etc. Each team did excellent work. It’s clear to me that they have worked together for many years and on many projects. Design Pro has basically assembled the best teams in the area, who perform excellent work, and provide a professional installation. These teams help the overall brand image of Design Pro for sure. Someone else said, price-wise, Design Pro “was in the middle”, and that’s where you want a remodeling company to be at. I agree. I am sure I could’ve found someone who could’ve done the project cheaper, but the end product and experience would have been, without doubt, inferior to what we received. I am also sure I could’ve found other companies who would’ve charged more for Design Pro’s service, but I am not sure the end product or experience would’ve been better because I can’t imagine a better end product or experience than what we had with Design Pro! I would not only recommend Design Pro to anyone reading this, I would also recommend each and every one of their team’s as well. Not once was someone rude, or told us no, or made excuses for something. Not once. It was always kindness, and recommendations to do this or that, again based on their experience, which we always greatly appreciated. For example, we sent a link to a blue bathroom vanity to Andy for his thoughts and he said this was very trendy and popular right now. You can’t really put a price on a remodeling company who has their finger on the pulse of the area and what is trending or not, you know? We are so pleased with Design Pro, that we have already handed out Design Pro cards to several neighbors and friends. And we have already requested an estimate to remodel our 3 bathrooms upstairs. So, we will be hiring Design Pro again in the future, no question. Thank you to Andy, to Andrew, and to the entire Design Pro team. Northern Virginia is better off by having Design Pro here to remodel our homes.

Design Pro is a wonderful team! My husband and I fully renovated our 3B/3BA townhouse - We did a total kitchen remodel, put in a new bathroom, and updated floors and finishes around the house. We are extremely happy to have worked with Design Pro, and are very pleased with the results. They are a great group - efficient with schedule, kept us within our budget, and communicated with us throughout the process. Our biggest compliment to Design Pro is that they kept expectations very clear and very real, which helped facilitate a smooth renovation process - especially for us being first-time home owners and having never done a renovation before.

We recently completed a massive renovation project (kitchen, basement, 5 bathrooms, deck, HVAC, electrical, windows, etc.). We got multiple bids and Design Pro was very competitive. Perhaps more importantly, they were extremely responsive and professional. Our project manager, MD, and the co-owner, Jeff, were great communicators and set realistic expectations for both time and cost. They enabled us to create our vision working with us from the initial design phase all the way through the build and punchlist. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering doing a renovation, large or small.

We had our master bathroom remodeled by Design Pro and couldn't be happier. Brady was an excellent project manager. He was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to any questions we had. Julio and his crew were great . Their workmanship was excellent. We were especially pleased with the attention to detail with the tile and how they covered our bedroom furniture to keep things as clean as possible. Brady gave us a 4 week time frame to complete the work. It was done as promised. Everyday someone was here working.

Amazing experience using Design Pro Remodeling, our point of contact was Cameron. We had a 2 bedroom condo where new floor was put in, kitchen was updated with new appliances, countertops and cabinets painted, bathroom completely redone and walls were all freshly painted.

He was very precise, gave great recommendations on the project and his personal thoughts. The staff was very professional and thorough. We were grateful for the makeover and will for sure be using them for every project moving forward as well as passed their information along to friends and family who want some work done in the house.

Very punctual, they arrived at job site and their plan for each day. Communication throughout the project with ETA of appliance arrivals, what will be done on what day was all great. Recommend completely not only because of their work but because of how smooth it was.

From the design phase to the build phase Design Pro was great!! The leadership, to include the owner, we're involved from start to finish. All leadership levels were very easy to contact no mater the question. The crews that were in my house for three month were skilled, professional and personable. They were the ones we saw the most and were absolutely top notch.

We had a great experience with Eric and Design Pro. They listened to us, made great suggestions and recommendations, and communicated with us clearly and frequently. We couldn’t be happier with the renovation of our primary bathroom. They did beautiful work!

We recently moved to VA and our realtor had recommended Design Pro for home projects. We are so glad she did! So far we’ve used Design Pro for LVP install, electrical work, and ceiling repairs. We’ve always thought they produce great work and were surprised when their team lead felt they could do even better and called them back for some further improvements! We contracted with Design Pro to remodel our kitchen and we could not have asked for a better experience with Janene as our project manager and Sergio leading the on-site work with the team. From the first visit, we felt like Janene was committed to helping us bring our vision for the kitchen to life.

From the start, Design Pro's quote and invoicing system is easy, transparent, and made us feel comfortable committing to a large project with them. Once we accepted their bid, they quickly got to work.

As with any renovation in an older house, we encountered some unexpected bumps. When we discovered HVAC and plumbing in the wall we intended to remove, Janene quickly worked to find the most cost effective solution to relocate the ductwork and pipes in order to keep our project on schedule. Design Pro also seamlessly handled small change orders along the way, which helped us ensure we were satisfied with the final product.

We particularly appreciated Janene's proactive communication, and her willingness to provide us numerous updated schedules, which helped us anticipate when certain work would be done, when we needed to be on-site, and when we needed to have owner-supplied materials delivered.

When it came time to finish up the final punch list, Janene was meticulous in making sure every last detail was handled and our kitchen was fully complete. We would recommend Design Pro without hesitation (and already have!), and look forward to contracting with them on our next home renovation.

We engaged Design Pro based on a recommendation from our realtor. They helped us prep our home for sale - we did new carpets, a tub glazing job, as well as two drywall repair areas. We loved working with them - no drama, great prices, wonderful project management. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

I had the pleasure of working with Cameron and his team at Design Pro Contractors in Arlington, Virginia, for a full kitchen renovation in spring 2024, and I couldn’t be happier. Our 1940s Arlington home needed a high-end kitchen upgrade, and I chose Design Pro specifically because they really know these older homes. Cameron even lives in a similar house, which made the entire process much smoother.

We went for top-of-the-line finishes: commercial appliances, high-end wood cabinets, and a strong attention to detail. Cameron and his subcontractors were fantastic. When a flooring issue came up during the project, it was handled promptly and at no additional cost to us, which really stood out.

Design Pro delivered high-quality results without the inflated costs often associated with high-end kitchen renovations. They delivered exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price, and a year later we’re still loving our new kitchen. I’d absolutely recommend them for any renovation project.

In mid April the kitchen in our 25 year old house flooded destroying many of the cabinets as well as the flooring. After dealing with our insurance carrier we decided to completely renovate our kitchen down to the studs. This represents the first major renovation in our home in 25 years. We were greatly concerned about the process and ultimately the outcome. This is the point where your happiness in the outcome of your project can be directly tied to the experience and professionalism of your contractor. While there are many options, I cannot stress enough how important it will be for you to make the best business decision you can make in selecting a contractor. If you make your selection based on the lowest bid, you may find yourself gravely disappointed. We reviewed the quotes and work of three different contractors and selected Design Pro Remodeling. From the beginning every step of the process was outlined clearly for us, including timeline and payment schedule. I received a recommended list of suppliers and associated discounts I could select from that allowed me freedom of design choice and adherence to our budget. While I could always select what I wanted from the array of designers Design Pro works with it too was stressed to me that I could purchase items such as doors pulls and tiling from whomever I prefer. Ultimately I selected from the suppliers my contractor did business with and found each supplier as professional and attentive to details as my contractor. Mahboud at Design Pro was my lead contractor & consultant at Design Pro. He was on top of everything right along with me. He called routinely, and he too thoughtfully drew my attention back to a choice I initially made for my countertops . If Mahboud had not talked me through the perils of such a busy countertop as related to my flooring and the space in my kitchen I would have settled with a disappointing outcome instead of a beautiful choice. Communication is extremely important especially when one does this every day and you may only do it twice in your life. I found Mahboud to be an exceptional listener, he too was very good at problem solving and anticipating problems. My kitchen is the life blood of my home, I spend a great deal of joy & time in my kitchen . While I never much complained about my pre-flood kitchen
every holiday season I was painfully reminded how inadequate my kitchen was during high volume cooking and entertaining months. As we worked through our remodeling plan Design Pro helped me amend the original design and create a more efficient kitchen design with even more shelves and storage space. I too cannot say enough about the high caliber craftsmen who rebuilt my kitchen. They showed up on time every day and they worked with great focus and care for our home. They were all polite, respectful, and asked questions. I was always well informed about each step along the way. Before the close of each work day, the on site project manager wrapped up with me showing me everything that was accomplished that day as well as what to expect the next day. The demo team was efficient and the remodel team was masterful. I was able to get in my kitchen a week earlier than expected. I went from a drab out dated kitchen to a bright, elegant, beautiful kitchen. I could not be more pleased, and this will be the first of several more projects I expect to do with Design Pro. Mahboud, their team of professionals and contract experts in Quartz, Granite, Porcelain, Ceramic tiling, beautiful door handles, dynamic kitchen facets, extremely beautiful and versatile cabinetry, painting and overall design concept were great to work with. Thank you all, Mahboud, Julio, Alex, Jose, Eric, Barach, Pam, Michael and Sab, Mustafa and the team a Mosaic. If I have left anyone out it was an oversight not a purposeful omission. Thank you all for restoring so much positive light and life back into our home.

Big shout out to Eric Colton and his team! We had a sudden change in our financial situation and decided to sell our house right away. Within a week Design Pro was able to do all the repairs and repainting so it showed better. Work was competed within a week. He also responded right away for reasonable quotes from the home inspection report. Our house was only on the market for 4 days and went to closing.

Thanks Eric for being flexible and keeping track of all the change orders and fixing issues along the way. Definitely a company to have in your back pocket for multiple types of work that needs to be done. Below are some before and after photos. We couldn’t have sold so quickly without them!

Obed and his team at Design Pro were amazing. I had a vision of what I wanted for our basement and Obed met with me multiple times, discussed options and plans and within a week the items were ordered and the project was underway. His team of guys were super respectful to not only me but my house as well. Plastic was placed over furniture, carpets and hardwood floors were covered to prevent dirt and damage and everything was cleaned up daily. I couldn’t be happier with the final product. The project was finished in a very timely manner and I look forward to working with Obed and the Design Pro team again on future projects.

This team was fantastic! I’ve had many contractors in my lifetime. I moved to VA a few weeks back and was given the recommendation from a friend DesignPro did flooring and a fireplace wall with some painting. The team was great. Communication was great and mostly the projects are beautiful. The cost was extremely competitive. I will use again. Shout out to JP!

Design Pro has done countless projects in our home including renovating all of our guest bathrooms! They’re very professional, always keep things organized and smooth and have great vendors! Juan Pablo(JP) has been the absolute best project manager and we can’t wait to continue to leverage him and Design Pro for future projects!

We purchased a home flipped by design pro, and yes we know these issues come with flips. Some examples of our issues include- they installed central air in our older home with no insulation around the ducts causing leaks in our ceiling. We’ve had to cut out pieces of drywall on multiple floors to add in insulation and still have some work to do.

In one of their bathroom remodels the tile in the shower is cracking after two years. From the original purchase there were gaps in the floor tile. They also installed a vanity which left a huge gap next to the wall, causing many things to slip in between. We’ve had to use a plastic barrier over that.

Our shower niche is so uneven that a full bottle of shampoo just slid off the shelf (as it does almost daily) and almost hit our newborn while taking a bath, but instead hit me square in the top of my head as I was hovering over her (thankfully). Thats what’s triggering my review a few years post purchase- culmination of little things over the years.

The countertops were marketed as quartz but stain insanely easily, making me think they weren’t the highest quality (again not shocking on a flip).

The idea and design thoughts seem well intentioned, but the execution and attention to detail are lacking.
