I had the unique opportunity to purchase and renovate an entire home using a 203k loan, where the renovation costs are rolled in to the loan. This involves thorough planning, scheduling, communication with multiple parties and extensive documentation. I had initially started the job with another contractor I've used with in the past who, unfortunately, seemed to lose interest or just got too busy in the middle of the build out. I had to find another contractor to pick up where they left off and complete the rest of the renovation with the remainder of the tight budget. Design Pros stepped in with extremely clear communication and the expertise to get the project done within my short timeline. MD was the project manager and he was so diligent with follow up. The permitting process for doing a whole home renovation is extensive - there was no central heating and cooling system in the home previously, we had to install a new roof, new electrical, new plumbing, remove an addition that was not up to code etc. I am beyond impressed with the work that was completed on my home. MD was amazing and the general contractor Julio's work exceeded my expectations. The tile work in the bathroom and kitchen was far superior to any other renovations I've had completed in the past, so meticulously laid. Thank you Design Pro for helping me complete this difficult project!

This team did a remarkable job installing a washer/dryer stackable unit in an existing pantry cabinet space with all permits and modifications with a final professional finish that is highly functional. All tech teams - plumbing, electrical, HVAC - were highly skilled and wonderful to work with. Deandre was always available and great to communicate with as GC!

I am thrilled with the new kitchen from Design Pro! MD and Julio were fantastic—professional, communicative, and detail-oriented from start to finish. The quote was competitive and thorough, and they took great care to protect my floors and home during the project. MD kept constant communication and made sure every detail was exactly how I wanted it, and any questions or issues were handled quickly. Even with a few scheduling setbacks caused by factors outside their control, the quality of the work and their commitment to getting it right made it more than worth the wait. Highly recommend!

A few weeks ago (at the start of August), I hired Design Pros, based the good word-of-mouth my wife got from her colleagues at work. We needed genuinely skilled and earnest professionals for restorative work upon all three levels of the front of our home... and we needed it 'done yesterday' as the old saying goes...
Design Pros -- and in particular, Design Pros' Project Consultant William Troche and his team -- were absolutely the people we needed!
From day one of their work on site, they totally impressed me. But by the second day -- and, if my memory serves, they had fully completed the work (leaving the site immaculate) before noon -- they floored us in amazement!
The project entailed restoration of key elements of our home's front exterior: the supporting framing and trim above the front door, replacing the fascia and frieze (on the uppermost level), and replacing framing surrounding the bay windows... As said above, the work entailed basically the full height of the front exterior.
Each element/aspect demanded genuine skill and care...

We highly recommend Design Pro Remodeling for any home project you may have. They have helped us twice now. Once by completing the work in our condo in Fairfax to get it ready for a successful sell in a tough market, and again recently in our new home in Greenbelt, where they removed a Bathfitter wall and bathtub lining that was leaking water underneath the lining into the existing tub below. We inherited the bathfitter when we bought the house, and after just 2 weeks of use, water was building up under the lining to where we could not use the bath or shower. After calling Bathfitter to see if they could send someone to fix the issue, they replied it was "no longer under warranty" since we did not purchase the fitter. They could not have been less helpful.

We remembered the exceptional work Design Pro had recently completed for us to help sell our condo and requested their services again for this job. The whole team was professional and communicative throughout the process. Their team removed the bathfitter, helped us choose tiles through one of their exceptional vendors, let us know what other parts we needed, and completed their work with professionalism. They removed the old insulation and replaced it with insulation that was up to code, installed the tiles, installed new bathroom flooring which was required due to the gap the bathfitter lining left behind, painted the bathroom walls, and installed all plumbing fixtures. The picture showing the finished work is included here and we could not be more pleased.

Andy and his team were awesome. Our kitchen is beautiful and was professionally finished on time and on budget. Couldn’t asked for a better experience. This is the second major renovation project with his team.

We are so happy that we went with Design Pro!!! We had our master bath completely remodeled with a new shower, flooring, and pony wall installed. We were so happy with their work we hired them to repaint all of our kitchen cabinets. We are thrilled with the results of both projects. Both projects finished on time and the pricing was very fair and comparable to other quotes we had gotten.

This is an incredible team of professionals from the initial consultation with the project manager Esau to dealing with the Operations Manager Flavio to the Director of Operations Adam. We had a group chat where we could ask any three of them questions at any time. Esau also stopped by every day (!!) to check on his team, the work, and ensure we were satisfied.

Speaking of his team, we were extremely pleased with the professionalism of the specialists. That is a key word - Design Pro has specialists for tiling, drywall, painting, plumbing, etc. Everyone has a specialization and it shows. My husband never saw tile work as straight and impeccable as what Vicente did. The team member who did drywall patching had over 30 years of drywall experience. They even have a specific kitchen team. They do not subcontract which is key to good quality.

The team also took great care to protect our floors and other rooms while working and transporting materials.

We absolutely would work with Design Pro in the future - you can relax knowing your home is in the hands of actual professionals who care about your home and the outcome!

We reached out to Design Pro on the recommendation of our realtor. He spoke incredibly highly of their team and expertise, so we were excited to work with them. We were paired with Eric Colton as our project manager and provided the attached drawing of our vision. As the photos show, Eric and his team did a phenomenal job renovating the bathroom and bringing our vision to life. This was an extremely challenging project given the age of the home, complexity of our vison additionally, and the fact that the entire project had to be accomplished with us living away from the home.

Our top three pros when working with Eric and Design Pro are as follows:

1. Eric and the Design Pro team were extremely personable and professional throughout the entire process. Eric clearly has years of expertise in construction and renovations, yet he always the patience to explain the “why” behind any recommendation or cost associated with the project. He also very quickly ascertained our communication preferences and provided a very personalized service, we always felt he was in our corner and working to make our vision a reality.

2. Eric was very clearly involved and invested in the project; he wasn’t afraid to offer opinions and recommendations based on our budget and vision. He also never stopped trying to make everything perfect. At one point, we had settled on how we would do the tile in the arch since we couldn’t find exactly what we wanted. Eric continuously called around to suppliers and found the bull nosed tile that we had wanted but couldn't find “because he felt it better matched our vision than what we had settled on.” Eric Consistently went above and beyond to make our vision a reality.

3. The Design Pro team was extremely trustworthy and courteous throughout the process. Due to our work, we were away from the home for most of the duration of the project and the Design Pro Team was left in the home alone for most of the time. There were never any issues, and we found the team was incredibly respectful of our space. One evening, we showed up unannounced to check on the progress and found three members of the Design Pro team staying late to ensure the house was properly cleaned so no mess would be tracked though the house by the incoming team the following morning. The team was incredibly polite and were not only supportive of us stopping by, but proud to show all the care they had taken to ensure disruption to the house was minimized even though we were not living there at the time. This courtesy and professionalism was exhibited by every member of the Design Pro Team we interacted with.

The project did have its challenges. This was a 40-year-old home and there were updates to the structure, electrical, and windows that had to be made to comply with code. These were frustrating and drove the time and cost of the project up. That said, none of these could be anticipated before gutting the space and are in no way a reflection of the Design Pro Team. Rather, we found Eric and the team incredibly helpful in navigating these challenges and always willing to communicate or help navigate inspectors when possible.

In summary, we will be using Design Pro and specifically requesting Eric Colton for all future projects. He and his team did a phenomenal job in bringing our vision to life.

PM Kevin Arnez and his team remodeled our two full bathrooms. It was a full gut and redo of both and we also had major plumbing replacements done. Overall a good experience - his team showed up everyday to work as promised and the full renovation was completed in 3 weeks which was great since we lived away from our house during this time. The plumber used for all the plumbing replacements was also good - experienced and efficient. The team was always responsive to our concerns - even after the work was completed and we asked them to come to fix minor things. Design Pro works with Mosaic Tile so we went to them for all our tile selections and that ended up working out very well. Felt the price was reasonable too

My wife and I worked with Pauqar/Design Pro to remodel my childhood home in Arlington, and the result is a completely transformed space. The project involved a full gut renovation, which required extensive planning and coordination throughout the process.

We recently renovated our basement and hall bathroom. Design Pro did amazing, beautiful work! Obed and his team were incredible. Alex, Roberto, and Jorge arrived every day ready to work. They were kind, capable, and efficient. JP and Moses installed tile in the bathroom and provided excellent craftsmanship. Eduardo was the electrician and was extremely hard working. Every contractor that came in our house I would gladly hire again! The final project reflects the experience and knowledge of the entire team, and we couldn’t be happier!

We sought a local firm to help us repair and enhance our rental property that needed a lot of love. They worked with us to solve immediate problems and provided several recommendations to increase curb appeal. They provided a complete renovation of a bathroom including extensive plumbing, upgraded all the electrical wiring, added two doors (including a large sliding door), installed exterior fencing, and performed front and back yard landscaping. The work was done ahead of schedule and on budget. We received detailed quotes and invoices for all work completed, and the company was very responsive to our needs and the needs of our property. We look forward to doing business with them on larger renovations because we know they'll be attentive, professional, and thorough.

HP Design & Build was fantastic. Josh and the multiple work crews were professional, responsive, highly skilled, friendly, diligent, careful, quick, and exact. In September and October 2020, HP remodeled our dilapidated portico, painted our home’s entire exterior, and performed various other repairs and touch-ups inside and outside our home, including to our detached garage. We were on a tight timeframe because we were looking to list the home for sale before November. The crew started within about a week of the consultation and they were finished within a few short weeks. Pricing was also very reasonable. Thanks in part to how great our home looked during and after the renovations, we were able to sell our beautiful, upgraded home off-market within just a few weeks. We’re grateful for HP’s work, professionalism, and friendliness!

HP Design and Build conducted a complete remodeling of our Arlington Townhouse. They won the project because the owners provided insightful and knowledgeable comments during the pre-proposal visit and their proposal was cost competitive. HP D&B’s execution of the project confirmed that we made an excellent choice in selecting them. They have extensive experience with the new materials on the market (e.g., flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, fixtures, etc.) and provided valuable guidance during materials selection. It was apparent that the owners are passionate about their work and take great pride in their projects. Our project was completed on time and we are very happy with the results. We whole-heartedly recommend HP D&B for any remodeling and construction projects.
