excellent job! The two employees, Andy and Tyrone were fantastic. Energetic, friendly and super competent they finished the job quickly and efficiently.

Shine Select did an outstanding job on our house cleaning project. The staff was willing to work with me with several schedule changes and the workers were very courteous. The house looks beautiful and I highly recommend this service.

I used Shine Select to clean one side of our exterior fencing (see before and after photos of the side on the right), which is owned by our neighbor and is rather old. The price they charged me was $200 cheaper than other quotes I received and the work was completed within a few days with excellent results. Their serviceman Henry was thoughtful and easy to communicate with -- would recommend them to anyone looking for power washing services in the DMV area.

Overall an excellent job. I was not completely satisfied with the window cleaning and would not use them for that service again. But I was very happy with the siding, brickwork, drive, deck, etc. We were a tough job because of the trees around our house put out a lot of tree debris and shade, but they did an excellent job on those services, which is why I gave them five stars. Our brick walkways look like they were just built. Two young men worked very hard, were VERY polite, and no trouble.

Communication was great! Our technician was very professional and exceeded expectations. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism and commitment to excellent service. They were able to remove all of the rust from the siding on our home. Highly recommend!

I could not be happier with Shine Select. Kevin was extremely helpful during my estimate and answered all my questions along the way even after our service. Curtis is the one who cleaned our house and wow! Just wow! He did an incredible job and spent so much time getting everything as clean as possible. I have an older home under a canopy of trees and now my house looks brand new! I actually thought I was going to need a deck replacement soon as it look like it was crumbling but turns out all it needed was a good cleaning. On top of being an incredibly hard worker he also was extremely kind. I should also add I’m a perfectionist (to the point I get on my nerves sometimes) but Shine Select even exceeded my expectations which can sometimes be hard to do. I only wish I took before pictures to show how different my house looks now. But all of my family that has come over to see it can’t believe the difference either.

They did a great job on the windows, so I’d recommend them. The only drawback was scheduling. First, I was phoned because they couldn’t make it on the day I’d scheduled months before. The tech was sick. I was told they’d phone the next day. They called another day when I couldn’t answer. Eventually they just picked a day and time: 8 am. I made sure we were ready then but they called that day and said they’d come between 2 and 4. They came at 4:30. Since they were training, it took longer than normal, and they finished at 7:30. That means we missed our granddaughters 16th birthday. So the work was fine; the admin could be better.

Shine Select cleaned the exterior of my house, front porch, and the inside and outside of 49 windows including screens. They worked 6+ hours this week without ever stopping to take a break.

The result: sparkling windows! The view through the windows is so vivid. When the natural light and interior lights reflect off the windows, everything is so clear and clean. It's as if I have a new house. What a difference!

I initially spoke to several companies. Kevin at Shine Select was the only person who understood my expectations. First they remove all the screens and wash them outside. Next, they wash the house exterior and windows. This allows them to clean the ledges (see pic). Then they clean the windows inside. Finally, the screens are dry and put back on the windows. Zero screens broken and all the windows closed and locked.

I was worried all this work would be disruptive and messy, but it wasn't at all. I felt completely at ease having Shine Select's team inside my home. They worked quietly and diligently.

Final note: they power washed the front walk and they soft wash and use purified water on the house and windows. I chose this because every surface is uniformly clean and nothing gets damaged or broken.

Shine Select was very professional from consultation to finishing the work. They were extremely thorough when pressure washing the driveway. Whenever I thought they were done they kept going back and touching up different areas. Very pleased and will be calling Shine Select again in the future.

I had my entire house power washed including the front walkway , steps and 2 decks out back .

Oh man it feels good to see my deck so clean and shiny again. William did a great job, he also agreed to clean my walkout basement concrete for an extra fee, this was a last minute decision on my part. I like that this method of washing uses safe chemicals, no high pressure water or loud compressor noises, very quiet. My deck is Trex like material. William also cleaned bottom lattice area of my sunroom.
Happy with results, my only complaint is some overspray not noticed after job was done. Overspray created spots on some windows after drying. Had to get a ladder and clean them off with window cleaner.
I would use Shine Select again. 😊💦

Our Shine Select experience was great from start to finish, beginning with Zach’s initial in-person assessment and thorough cost proposal that gave us the confidence to select them to clean every exterior surface of our home from roof to hardscape. Their staff was outstanding, arriving well within the promised window, working diligently while conducting themselves professionally and courteously, so that despite the scope of the work being done, it was a very positive experience overall. We were extremely pleased with the results, which if anything exceeded our hopes. We highly recommend the team at Shine Select to anyone who has a need for their cleaning services and who appreciates excellent value and great customer care.

From the moment Zach Todorov came to our house to give an estimate until the time he and his team finished the work, they were efficient, kind, and respectful. They were very skilled in their craft, removing some stains that we thought were permanent and making the surface look like new. We definitely will use them again and highly recommend them.

We've used Shine Select for soft washing our house for a few years. Zach, Kevin and team are always easy to work with and the crews do a good, detailed job of cleaning. They offer competitive services beyond soft-washing for other deferred maintenance you might have put off.

I had high hopes for this power washing company, but they fell short in several aspects. Ultimately, they discounted my project, but not enough to make me truly happy. They also offered to come do "touch-ups", but I didn't want their inexperienced crew coming back onto my property.

I do want to thank the crew for their hard work on the project; however, I feel compelled to share my concerns regarding the overall execution and quality of the work performed. Overall, the project lacked detail.

Firstly, it was apparent that there was a lack of preparedness for the job. A checklist should be in place to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly and that necessary tools and spare parts are on hand before commencing work. Unfortunately, the equipment used appeared to be unreliable and malfunctioned frequently, which negatively impacted the quality of the job. They also had to borrow tools from me and needed me to provide items like trash bags. These items should have already been on the truck.

Specifically, I noted the following issues:

-In my opinion, not the best business practice to send so many trainees to a job. At best, there were two people who were familiar with the job and at least three being trained.
-All windows had residual chemicals. They wanted to pass this off as hard water, but when I have power washed myself, this was never an issue.
-My generator case and transfer case has chemical marks that won't come off despite my scrubbing.
-Trash was thrown into my bins without bags. Someone left an open water/Gatorade bottle, which leaked. All trash should have been taken away from the job. If using the clients trash bins, it's best practice to make sure it's in a trash bag. I keep my trash bins very clean and power wash them myself twice a year.
-The crew did not follow an efficient working method, such as working from the top down with one person applying chemicals and another rinsing immediately thereafter.
-There was a lot of downtime with 2-4 crew members often standing around, which even my neighbors noticed.
-Grass was damaged in a few areas and one bush was trampled on.
-A 2-story ladder slid across my gutters and fell onto my bushes. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but I was assured that their equipment would reach the second story without ladders.
-The job seemed underestimated, causing the crew to work late without breaks, disturbing my neighbors until 7:30 pm. I felt really bad for the crew and provided them with to go snack bags.
-Parts of the house and the screened porch still have spots and dirt, indicating incomplete cleaning. This leads me to believe the equipment used was not properly maintained and this is partially why my windows all have chemical spots.
-Portions of the fence and shed stairs were missed.
-Additionally, I had to cancel a dinner reservation with friends that took two months to obtain because I needed to stay for the walk through.

Shine Select was fantastic to work with from star to finish. I entered an online request on Monday afternoon, and within an hour, they called me, and sent over an estimate. They scheduled the work for Tuesday, and they called when they were on their way. William was extremely friendly, and he and his teammate did a fantastic job of power-washing the house, and all of the green algae went away,. As a bonus, they did the patio furniture table and chairs and the front stoop, which looked amazing as well. I cannot recommend Shine Select Power Washing & Roof Cleaning enough. I will definitely spread the word to friends and family.

I used this company in 2023 for power washing and was very happy with the results, so I was looking forward to using them again this year. Unfortunately, this time was a completely different experience.

On the day of service, there were several issues, but the most upsetting was the aftermath. Due to what they later explained was an equipment malfunction and overspraying, the treatment ended up killing patches of my grass (resulted from the exterior stairwell drain that routes to a front yard pop up emitter), damaging my hydrangeas, and ruining other flowers in my yard--something that was not an issue last time.

While they acknowledged the mistake and I received a partial refund, the damage had already been done. I appreciated the apology and willingness to take responsibility, but the overall impact has left me incredibly disappointed, especially given how excited I was to work with them again. I was doing a service to improve the look and maintenance of my home and these actions have now made my well-maintained yard look unappealing.

Accountability matters, but so does consistency--and this was not the standard I experienced previously. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Kevin and his partner did an excellent job power washing our driveway and brick walls of our house. It was meticulously executed like a true professional. They were also very friendly. The only complaint we have is the promised 2 PM arrival time became 4 PMish. Overall they were more than great. Thanks again Kevin + partner.

They cleaned our roof gutters, basement stairs and front walkway. I am very impressed. Both men that came were very nice, diligent and focused on their work. They put everything back the way found it. The last people we had used had said our basement stairs can not be cleaned but Shine select did an awesome job.
I was concerned about water coming in from the basement door. J……. said no problem and applied tape around the edges and I put towels down on the inside and it was all good.
They have a contract for you to sign with a $200 down payment before they start the job. I did not see it at first as there are a few pages of pics of work they have done in the past before the contract info starts. So I had disregarded it in the beginning.
The only thing is that in the contract they say they will keep your payment info incase you want to use them again. There was no way to opt out of it . So I called them up and they said they would remove my credit card info once the job was done. I confirmed this with them after the job and they told me they have removed my info.
I found them to be very good at their work and very reasonable to work with. They addressed all of my concerns in a very friendly manner.
I wish I had taken before photos but I have added a photo from this winter and one after cleaning of the front walkway.

The soft wash performed on my detached garage was a success! Structure looks fantastic and the team did the work very quickly. Five stars - not one complaint!

Working with Shine Select has been very easy and great. I asked for a quote and the cost seemed reasonable for the project. I wasn’t ready to pull the trigger at the time, and the price remained the same. Also Zach whom I worked with was very kind and polite throughout the whole process. As far as setting up a date, once we knew we wanted to move forward, a weekend space was made available and that was perfect for our cleaning project. Definitely went above and beyond for setting up the date.

The day of, we had Rich stop by. He was very knowledgeable and picky regarding the cleanliness. I appreciated that because it meant that the dirty areas around my house would be clean. After the whole process I was able to see the true colors of my porch and basement staircase. I was also able to see the cleanliness on my front stoop.

All in all I would recommend Shine Select Power for any cleaning required for the exterior of a house. The service was perfect and the person that came to clean was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and meticulous. I would suggest to ask for Rich, if you want your house very clean.
