The Arbor Buds team is wonderful. More and more, it seems rare to find folks who are both good at and and love what they do, and these people are both — and it shows. They were careful on the property, very communicative all throughout the day, so kind to our pup, and the whole property feels transformed. Straightforward recommendations on where to invest maintenance if needed, in coming years, and helpful advice to keep our grove in check and potential problems at bay. Highly recommend!

Mark and his crew were wonderful!! Mark was quick to come check out the trees we were worried about. We thought 4 trees were needed to be taken down but he assessed and let us know 2 of the 4 trees were healthy and we only needed to take down 2 of the trees. What I liked about that was he did not oversell us and showed he really cares about only taking down the trees that are in bad shape. They worked very professionally and in a safe manor. We were very pleased with the overall experience!

Arbor Buds this week removed a dead and very large tree from our back yard, in a tight location inaccessible by crane. They had to bring the tree down piece-by-piece, roping each cut section -- some of them massive -- and carefully lowering it by hand. The pieces had to be hauled out across our front yard on a tracked skid loader. The damage was amazingly minimal, due to the skill and teamwork of the crew. They were meticulous about clean-up. Mark and his team are really good at what they do -- the pride shows. His pricing was more than fair. Arbor Buds will be our go-to tree service in the future.

We were hit hard in a storm, and lost 5 trees — one was over 100 years old and was hit by lightning! Our yard is huge, uphill, and very hard to access. ArborBuds attacked the situation and in two days cleaned it all up AND took down a dying oak threatening our house. They were even willing to drag the smashed solid wood playground that was destroyed by the falling trees and stacked the debris neatly for the county to pick up. Dealing with Mark was like dealing with an old friend. He really cares. His team was professional, neat and courteous. Not one speck of damage to the house. They had to take down a chain link fence, and even though we didn’t ask them to, they put it back up for us. They left everything extremely neat. I did a lot of research and got 4 different quotes for this job. They all came in around the same — so I conclude that ArborBuds does good work for a fair price. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Arborbuds did a fantastic job removing 4 dead hundred foot trees from our backyard right next to the lake. Had to be done manually given limited access to the backyard. They were timely, efficient and professional. They were also careful to avoid disturbing existing landscaping. Took into account water abatement measures. Very much recommend Mark and the team!

I had numerous dead and dying trees that needed to be cut down and others that needed to be trimmed. Mark Cavich studied the way the trees and branches were leaning and removed anything that was in danger of falling on the house.
It was a big job and Mark’s crew worked efficiently to get it done. All during the project, they cleaned up the lawn areas so well that there was not even one small stick left on the grass. I’m impressed that Mark was not only concerned with taking down the trees that needed to go but was also thoughtful about wildlife habitats and removing invasives (the dreaded ivy climbing up the trunk). His crew is friendly, helpful and very skilled. I highly recommend Arborbuds and Mark Cavich.

We’ve used Arborbuds a half dozen times now. The team there have handled projects from (reactive and proactive!) large tree removal, water abatement, and planting amazing new trees. The owner, Mark, and his crew are efficient, professional and fairly priced.

We have had several trees removed by Arborbuds and also watched them remove several trees in our neighbor's yard. The entire crew is very courteous, skilled, and professional. It is amazing to watch them quickly remove a tree with no damage to surrounding trees, property, etc. They are quick and efficient and the clean up after the job is impressive. Mark Cavich cares about his team and it shows. They work together so well. Safety for his amazing crew and your property is his top concern.

We have used Arborbuds for several years now to maintain our trees and have been very happy with their services. Last night, one of our trees fell down, across our road, taking down the power lines. We called Arborbuds and Mark and crew were onsite almost immediately. They contacted Dominion Power to get someone there to shut off the power and they got to work clearing the tree so Dominion could get our power back on. They did an outstanding job, in horrible weather, and came back the next day to continue with the work in our yard. Thank you Arborbuds! What could have been a difficult situation, was under control with just one call.

We moved into our new place last year and inherited a handful of dead trees that needed to come down. A few of them were tricky with size and proximity to the house. We had a couple companies come by for quotes to remove four of the worst trees, but also had two separate neighbors recommend Arbor Buds. Prices were similar across the board so we decided to go with the neighbors' rec. EXTREMELY glad we did.

Mark was a pleasure to work with. Gave us honest assessments of the job, had some suggestions about other things to do (or not do) around the yard, and really just gave us a lot of confidence about the work. They ended up coming out two days later to knock out the entire job in about 6 hours (including stump grinding on two of them). Told me they'd be here at 8:45 and pulled into the driveway at 8:45 on the dot.

When I walked around to see how things looked I noticed several little things his team had done (cleaned up some vines off our dogwood, pruned up a bush that was getting into the power lines, cleaned up the remains of a tree I had started cutting down myself, and hauled out a smaller dead tree that was close to coming down on the fence). I had been worried about the equipment wrecking the grass, but they left the yard in great condition and cleaned up all the debris from the day.

His crew was also friendly and polite, answering questions I had whenever I popped my head out. Overall they made a stressful house chore into a pleasant experience. I don't take the time to type out this many paragraphs for a review, so believe me when I say that I'd highly recommend them to anybody looking to get some trees taking down in the area.

I’ve had Arborbuds do a number of jobs over the last five years. Tree maintenance and health, as well as as removal. They are safe and very responsible. Mark will not sell you work you don’t need. His crew is amazing and we’ve gotten to know them over the years. He treats them well and has high safety standards for all involved, as well as the homeowners. Great job Arborbuds.

Ah-MAY-Zing. What a great crew and company! After we bought our house, Arborbuds did an extraordinary job cleaning up our trees, shrubs, and beds after years of neglect. They were able to salvage some valuable native plants, shrubbery, and trees and replant them so they would have a better chance of thriving, going an extra mile at every opportunity. Love these guys!

I had some major work done in my yard including removal of a massive oak, cutting back another giant tree and clearing out the vines and overgrowth. Marc and team were easy to work with and did an awesome job very efficiently. I will continue to be a repeat customer!

I have been working with arborbuds for over five years. They have had to remove four large trees from my yard in as many years due to my old oak trees dying, and one they did their best to save, prolonging it's life by two years. They are not only excellent at removing trees carefully, but they are also very knowledgeable about what new trees to plant and where, and on top of that they are friendly and easy to deal with. Mark is an excellent person and his crew are always professional and courteous.

Mark and his crew have helped remove dead or dangerous trees with great expertise, caring for our property the entire time and doing what’s right for the tree in each situation. Additionally, they work safe and smart. Further, they respond during emergencies and help the neighborhood community at its most critical times, e.g., during a storm.

When able, Arborbuds and has been great at pruning and caring for our trees the right way to support long-term health.

While I prefer more trees than less, Arborbuds also offers full-service reforestation from recommending, acquiring, and planting new trees to replace the old, complete with care recommendations to best enable the new tree’s success.

This is not the first posting complimenting Mark Cavich and his Arborbuds team, but I doubt there has been one more enthusiastically written based upon our two full days of receiving Mark’s services in the care and management of our extensive tree canopy.

Prior to contacting Mark we received in the mail a promotional flyer from another company located in Maryland offering tree care services, and so I thought it would be helpful to get a first look at what might be going on in our “forest” that deserved/needed attention. Although the young man was pleasant, his review of our canopy and proposal were rather spartan with a lot of detail not spoken.

I then called Mark to stop by and take a look, and I thought for a moment I was in an advanced arboricultural class as Mark walked the entire yard with me and with his laser pointer showed me specific areas of disease, decay, and structural weaknesses on a plethora of our trees. By the time he was done I was asking where I could sign up for his services!!!

Bottom line is that he and his crew were here for two days—the first day devoted to taking down a massive tree that was leaning ever more ominously over a neighbor’s house, and the second day going through all the other trees on the property including trimming some shrubs that were overgrown creating a more pleasant ambience in the front left corner of our home.

To give you an idea of the scope of his work, at the end of the two days he hauled away four truckloads of debris garnered from his work, and our trees looked great and especially important, he skillfully safely removed large branches hanging over our house the could have caused serious damage in a storm.

Not only is Mark a genuinely nice guy and someone with a special passion, but also his team members were superb in their skills, dedicated to the services they provided, and truly nice and pleasant and smiling people. My wife even made a batch of homemade cookies for a little lunchtime snack.

So, if you are thinking of getting any tree work done, look no further than Arborbuds.

If I were grading Mark’s work on the usual one-to-five star rating, I’d have to create a new category—SIX stars!!

Mark and his Arborbuds team provide excellent tree services. They have worked on our property several times and each job they did was professional, on-time, and IMO even went above and beyond on their services. They have helped remove large dead trees, have removed dangerous nuisance trees, taken down a wind-blown half-root balled tree angled over our shed and done lots of dead/dangerous limb removal work for us. They even helped identify some problem areas during the original job scope and got them taken care of for a very reasonable change order price. Some of these take downs were very technical and they made it look easy.

From the initial job discovery walk through until the root grinding is complete and the yard is cleaned up - it is a professional experience from start to finish. Arborbuds has the team, equipment and experience to help. Wholeheartedly recommend Mark and his crew.

Mark and his crew were incredible. When a tree recently fell on our house in storm they responding as quickly and professionally as you could imagine. They worked proficiently and diligently to safely remove a very large tree from the roof.

The best landscapers out there! Mark is super knowledgeable and friendly, we talked over every aspect of our project and he had great input. His crew works fast and hard, they are all really nice people. We had trees trimmed, ivy pulled, new plants, hedging, all in a very short amount of time. And the price was the most competitive out there.
